I can not express how happy I am with the Brazilian wax I had today with Candace. It was the most comfortable wax I have ever experienced. I have been getting Brazilians for quite a few years and this was basically pain free… well as close to it as you can get given the service being performed! I couldn’t stop telling her and pretty much anyone who would listen how easy, quick and comfortable it was. I have found my new wax lady! So impressed with her style!

I first saw Candace last year because my company provides occasional free massages… however, I’ve been going back once a month ever since because she is that awesome. Her massages are AMAZING, the atmosphere is very relaxing, and she’s just an overall cool person. I have been recommending her to friends and coworkers for almost a year now, and would encourage anyone reading this review to make an appointment!

I just moved to Denver and came to Asteria Salon for a Haircut/​Blowdry and a Brazilian with Candace. The first issue is that the salon and spa are treated as two separate businesses, even though they are in the same building and work together. It’s very confusing and uncoordinated. They had to run my card on two different systems, and left me waiting to go fetch someone from the back to do one transaction while Candace did the other… really ridiculous. They also ended up not charging me for one of my services in all of the confusion… if I had a better experience I’d go back and fix this next time, but I won’t be going back.
Candace is very nice, but after being waxed all over the country, that isn’t really enough. Her massages and other services may be great, but I would not recommended for waxing. I have sensitive skin and prefer to use hard wax. It’s really hard to find waxers who know how to work with hard wax correctly, but when they do I’ve found waxes last longer and it’s so much better for your skin. Unfortunately this was not the case. Candace was slow and kind of awkward, and got a lot of excess wax on my legs/​places it didn’t need to be. She kept making excuses that the hard wax doesn’t always get everything. I’ve never had a problem with that before (a lot of salons in Boston use nothing BUT hard wax and maybe a tweezer), but fine whatever, most people would go in afterwards and get the areas they missed. After getting home I realized she missed a ton of obvious areas, which I’ll now have to wait a month to fix.
Parking situation is great, but I’ll need to find a new salon.

I’m only able to give 5 stars, however, if I could give Candace 10 stars I would!!! I have never ever had a facial and massage that heavenly before.
She has the most wonderful personality and gives recommendations for things that you can do at home. The product that she uses is phenomenal.

I am 46 years old and at the time of life when somedays I wake up and I avoid mirrors, I know I look good for my age and I have plans to grow old gracefully but definitely fighting aging every step of the way. I met Candace two years or more a go but it wasn’t until recently I had the chance to receive a facial from her. During the course of my treatment I was blown away by her add-​ons treatment that she doesn’t charge for and her knowledge of every fabulous anti-​aging serum she put on my face. I really don’t like it when I get a facial and they don’t tell me what they are putting on my face! Candace detailed every bit of the experience for me. Then to top it all off she carries the Sanitas line of skincare products which, I say is the best you can get and use in a Colorado climate, it happens to be manufactured here too. Together we worked out a strategy for keeping me as youthful looking as possible. Thank you Candace for your TLC.
