We have been going here for 30+years, always fantastic. I have never heard a waitress say no to any request, whatever it is they will make it happen. Quality food, and quantity people, first rate all the way.

This is a beloved neighborhood restaurant. The food is still excellent but they raised their prices and are unreasonable. I feel that $ 15.25 is unreasonable for a couple meatballs and a plate of noodles and sauce. I won’t be going back for a long time even though it used to be one of my favorite restaurants.

Well we were pleasantly surprised when we first went there 2 months ago. When I first looked at the menu and saw Italian and Mexican on it I almost dragged my GF out but we stayed because it was crowded and there must have been a reason for it. We had a really nice server and then the food that came out was really delicious. I’m a pizza nut and like to compare restaurants based on pizza and this was as good as any other of my favorites. We have been back and placed carry outs a number of occasions. The atmosphere does not feel like a really nice restaurant but the lighting, service and food do. The reason I give it 4 stars is because the desserts are a real let down after a great dinner.

Had not eaten here in awhile, had a weird customer service experience. Food was fine. The young waiter asked us to stack the menus on the table when we were ready to order, had never heard of doing that? My soft drink was empty prior to our food being brought out. Instead of refilling my drink, I was told he would refill it when he brought out my food, didn’t bother to refill it at that time. Once our food arrived, he asked if I wanted water to drink. No, I wanted my soft drink refilled which had been empty for quite awhile. Strange experience to say the least.

Sooo good! They serve homemade spaghetti, which is the kind with thick noodles(the best kind). I ordered the homemade spaghetti with meatball and sausage and it was delicious. It’s the kind of old school Italian food that you normally find in North Denver. Their minestrone soup was also delicious, with huge chunks of vegetables cooked perfectly. Our server was very nice and made lots of recommendations. They also serve wine in a liter glass. I will be back!

Wow!!! Stumbled into this restaurant by working in the area! Crazy mix with mex and Italian but it works and they do great with it. Had lobster ravioli and omg it melted in my mouth. Service was perfect, price point was good as well. We be back for sure! If in the area and are hungry this is your spot!

This place is awesome; it’s a dual themed Italian/Mexican restaurant and they have some great food. Never had an issue with service, bills, or staff. The food has always been good quality, the service is faster than most places in the area, and the owner/manager(Vince I believe was his name?) is always nice and seems like he genuinely cares about his restaurant. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Pleasantly surprised! I was a little worried about a mixed-style restaurant(Mexican-Italian), but it was really quite good. I’ll start with the service and atmosphere: When I first walked in with my wife and two young children, we were greeted with smiles by at least 3 people(one was a server just walking through the dining room). Everyone was upbeat and pleasant. Strong family atmosphere feeling. Our awesome server(J.B.) gave us numerous recommendations from the menu since it was our first time. J.B. was very attentive and approachable and always had a smile on his face — thanks J. B! My wife had the chicken Marsala and I ordered the chimichangas. The Marsala was good, but the chimichangas were great! They were crisp(not greasy) and tasted fresh(not heavy). I had the combo(1 shredded beef, 1 shredded chicken) and it came with a small side portion of refried beans and seasoned rice on a bed of lettuce with some sour cream. I personally don’t like when half the plate is beans and rice, so this was perfect for me. Great family-feeling restaurant with kind humble people and great food. We’ll be back for sure!

Unique restaurant with a lot of history in the neighborhood. Their menu is split between mexican and italian, thus the unique element. I’ve been there probably a dozen times over the past 3 years as it is close to home. I usually eat Italian so I can’t speak to the mexican food but all my choices have been tasty. I love their sausage and peppers. Pizza is also really good. Downside: Extremely high prices, especially for drinks. Also, they have the single most uncomfortable bar stools I have EVER encountered. I like to sit at the bar and honestly the biggest reason I don’t go there more often. They are little round stools with no backs that are secured to the floor. There is a ledge to rest your toes but not your feet so I feel like I’m constantly balancing up in the air on the stool.

wasn’t bad… also wasn’t good :( i wanted to hate, and like this place equally as much. had never been and had heard mixed reviews. As a Texan, and half Mexican I can honestly say I know Mexican food. I ordered the beef fajitas. First let me say I was initially impressed. they came out on a sizzling skillet with the correct veggies grilled just right. also a side dish with cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, guac, and sour cream… just like home. what threw me off was the black olives in the fajita mix… whats that about? guac was not fresh(likely from a bag). But otherwise thought it was decent. I cannot, in good conscience recommend the fajitas to anyone with prior knowledge of the finer Mexican style fajitas out there. The calzone was great, speaking as someone who knows little about Italian food. had no issues with it. atmosphere was decent. prices were ok. was not blown away. where I am from, you ARE the best, or you ARE out of business. there is no in between. This is where I am having an issue with this place. It is in between somewhere. «it is too weird to live, too rare to die»

Been coming here since I was a kid and I must say the chips and salsa and fresh rolls taste the same! Still get the pizza lunch and it’s delicious! Great service and a quick place to grab a good lunch too. Always enjoy coming here!

Piccolo’s is one of my family’s go to restaurants. The menu is half Italian and half Mexican, which provides everyone ample options. The food is good and the portions are large. I typically order the homemade spaghetti with meatballs(ask for extra sauce) and usually have enough for at least two more meals at home(leftover spaghetti and a meatball sandwich).

This is as good as it gets. Best pizza in town, perhaps EVER! Spaghetti is the unique homemade fat egg noodle… delicious. Meatballs from heaven, sausage is flavorful and oh so tender! Go there now! Terrific food, family-owned!

Piccolo’s is a true wild card if the service will be great or really bad. No two visits are ever alike and you can be guaranteed of that. This location is usually very busy and I have been ignored by the hostess for up to 15 minutes before, and I have also been seated in a busy dinner service right away. The wait staff does a fine job of getting to your order quick, but the true wild card is the food. Pasta is usually a good bet here, but any meat or chicken dish can be overcooked or under done. The desserts are fine, and the salads are underrated. Choose carefully here, and do not come if you can not wait at least 15 minutes to be served.

I’ve been to Piccolo’s a few times. The food has been okay for the most part. Their rolls are good(ask for ranch dressing to dip them in). I’ve had the tortellini salad which was underwhelming. It wasn’t bursting with flavor and I felt confident I could recreate it at home to be just as good. I do enjoy their pizza. I usually just go with cheese since it can get very oily/greasy with meatballs or pepperoni. The crust has a nice chew to it and the sauce to cheese ratio is pretty spot on. The main reason I give two stars is for their service. Generally we’ll only see the server to bring back drinks we ordered and to deliver food. A few times people at my table wanted to send back food that came out cold or bland but the servers we’ve had were very slow to follow up. I’d still do take out from here but dining in is no longer an option for me.
