Very good place for Phở or noodle bowls. The set up is typical of Vietnamese restaurants, nicely done but kind of no frills. The service was fast and efficient. The food was great, packing serious flavors, love the Phở broth here, it was outstanding.

Decent Vietnamese food. It’s probably the best you can get in Denver and that’s what we heard too. We ordered phở and hu tieu. The phở, they provide the raw beef slices separately on a little place. The hu tieu was good too.

Vegetarian phở was the best I’ve had! The tofu bits in it were delicious. The service was friendly, the food was ready quickly, and the place was clean with plenty of parking. Had the almond boba, which was average. Will try another flavor next time!

It’s excellent, just like the old location. One of the bigger differentiators is the obvious inclusion of anise in the broth. You can actually taste it. It’s good. More places need to leverage it. I do feel that the stock broth doesn’t have as rich a meat flavor as I remember, but I’m not sure if that’s nostalgia or slipping quality. Still my top pick for phở in Denver.

They are busy… Few family members like it here… I’ve been here a total of 5 – 6 times and had their phở… I didn’t like it the first few times, but I kept my mind open in order to find what make this place«good». After my 5th or 6th, I gave up. I have no idea why people like it here. I don’t like it, because often their phở is luke warm and the noodle isn’t done right – the texture is more brittle than having the chewy texture. I also don’t like a lot of beef fat/oil floaters.

I have only been once but really enjoyed the Phở. A lot of flavor and very rich. Seemed like larger portions than other area places. Like its competitors the meal is one of the best values around. I will be back.

This is my go to phở place. During those cold winter days and nights, this is the place to hit the spot for a hot bowl of deliciousness. I normally order the medium phở dac biet. Broth is excellent, you can test the beefiness of it… hours of beef bones simmering to make the broth. Tons of different assortment of meats. Eggrolls are excellent here. Hot, crispy and full of flavor. It comes with salad and noodles. I also love the chicken clear noodle soup. Broth is flavorful and it comes with a vietnamese chicken salad on the side. A ginger sweet fish sauce is provided so you can dip the chicken into it to add so much more flavor. Overall, this is probably my favorite restaurant to go to in Denver. Quick, delicious, affordable food.

Phở Duy has been our go-to for Vietnamese noodle soup going on 15 years. We put up with the unfriendly service — the wait staff and ownership always made us feel as though we were an inconvenience(of course, on a few occasions, we lucked out and got a happy employee). This was because the Phở was amazing — chock full of fresh ingredients and overflowing with meat and noodles. Two people could fill their bellies for under $ 20 — including a generous tip. Since their move to the defunct KFC building next door, we have noticed a lack of substance. They have drastically expanded their Vietnamese food offerings, but it has been at the expense of the dish that made them so popular. The Phở broth is not as tasty and complex as it once was. Worse yet, the meaty goodness and generous noodle portions have diminished while the prices have increased. Now, combined with the abrupt and unwelcoming service, the food just isn’t worth the trip anymore. We will be looking for Unilocal to offer alternatives — something we should have probably done a few years ago. Creatures of habit no more!

I’m really in love with this place. The first time I came, I tried the phở. Duh, it was good. I just came yesterday for lunch and wasn’t in the mood for phở, so i tried the combination stir fry noodles, and my husband tried the rice combination dish. I am so happy that we tried these things. Everything is so FRESH — it’s not the usual heavy, greasy fried rice/stir fry you’d find at your regular Chinese place. This was full of fresh veggies, the meats were nicely grilled, we got lots of nice herbs that we could add to our taste, and the flavor had an overall fresh taste. I know I’ve used that word a lot, but it’s the best way I can think to describe it. The boba never disappoints either. Oh, and I LOVE their egg rolls — they’re filled with pork and shrimp, and the wrappers are so light and crispy. YUM!

Standard phở. From my experience, nothing to rave about, very status quo. The beef broth was strong and flavorful. The meatballs were odd — weird texture, no flavor. I stopped eating them partway through. The noodles were thin, though cooked well. My friend got the veggie phở. Said it was really flavorful and spicy but not traditional phở(well as traditional as veggie phở can be that is). It was packed full of all sorts of veggies though. We also got the spring rolls — shrimp and pork with an overload of cilantro. I love fresh cilantro but between the spring rolls and how much was in the phở, it was a bit much. The service was good though — water glass was always full, and they took our order right away.

I’ve tried most of the Viet restaurants in the area and Phở Duy is my go-to for phở. I think they deserve the 5 stars but I will add that I think their salad bowls need a bit of work. I’m usually disappointed with the portion and I’ve been going elsewhere.

Got food poisoning here so I stopped going here. I used to eat here a few times a month with friends and family. About a month ago, I ate dinner here and had a phở rare steak and brisket. I went home and slept, woke up at like 2am in the morning and felt like hell. Threw up a few times and the content was the phở I ate. Last time I had food poisoning was 5 years ago.

I loved this when it was next door at it’s original location and it’s still a reliable staple. Whether or not you’re a vegetarian, I highly recommend the vegetarian phở. If you need the protein, I like to order a side of rare steak. Can’t go wrong.

Well I think I have found my new phö place. We were die hard regulars to another place which I will not mention since it is very good and the owners are wonderful. We came here as our regular place was full and a friend said she really liked this place. We only tried phö with brisket, sirloin and rare steak. It was incredible. The broth had great flavor, so good in fact I forgot to add any of the«goodies» until about halfway through my bowl. We will have to try other things the next time we go back but for now we are definitely returning here for their fantastic phö.

This restaurant has been and still is an institution in amazing Vietnamese breakfast food that is phở(fun fact). Phở Duy is the place you should go whether it’s a small bowl in the morning to give you everything you need to get the day going after a heavy night of drinking, something delicious and fast for lunch, or a hearty and cheap dinner. Of course they serve options other than phở, but in the spirit of Vietnamese restaurants this place specializes in one thing. And they execute beautifully. The broth of whatever phở you order is rich, savory, salty, sweet, and oh so complex. You can smell the herbs and spices as a steaming bowl is placed in front of you less than ten minutes after ordering. The veal, if you order tai, is delicious and sweet(don’t let it sit in the broth too long if you want it just right). Fear not, vegetarians! The vegetarian phở here is an animal all its own. It’s a different style of broth that’s slightly spicy and chock full of mixed vegetables and tofu. Even for meat eaters this bowl is hearty and packs the same savory punch. My only gripe, which isn’t enough to lower the star rating, is that sawtooth coriander wasn’t on the plate of fresh herbs and bean sprouts. It very well could be fresh out, but that’s it’s.

Lost my appetite. Ordered a combo phở bowl with meatball, Thai tea + boba and a small empty bowl. Husband also got the combo Phở bowl with marinated minced rare beef and a bowl of fatty broth. My bowl only had the meatball, no extra bowl and only a few boba in the Thai tea which taste pretty bland. My husband got sliced rare beef instead of what he ordered and no fatty broth. Don’t know if it’s the waiter who took our order wrong or the person who made the food. The noodle broth was okay. Only came here cuz the Thai restaurant next door was packed and daughter is hungry.

This used to be my favorite phở place but recently, the food has taken a turn for the worse. The phở broth is too sweet, the phở noodles are consistently soggy, they’ve gone cheap on the meat, and there a layer of fat and excessive msg at the top. Okay, I get that some people would be turned on with mention of a fat layer because some order nuoc beo on the side. However, this was not the case! So disgusting, I couldn’t even get halfway through my bowl without the fat/msg layer starting to solidify. We all became nauseous from it and passed out(not literally) from all the msg. Very disappointing.

Not a huge place was service was good and fast, prices were about average. It was crowded during lunch on Saturday which meant it must be good. I came with a large group(seven) and I ordered the number 1 phở which had tendon, steak, tripe, flank, and brisket. When I got the bowl, I felt cheated on the meat. I counted 3 strips of meat in a medium bowl. What the hell. 8 bucks for noodle and 3 strips of meat. Maybe it was just one of those bowls, but I do suggest not being so stingy on the portions and add more meat! The place was clean enough, service was average, they could use more space though. Maybe they’re going for the whole«exclusive hole in the wall» thing. Biggest point, please add more meat to your bowls.

OMG. Honestly, this is an amazing phở restaurant. I’m from southern california. Came to Denver for my friend’s 40th birthday party. On our last day here in town, we decided we did too much drinking and needed a comfort food. Googled best phở in Denver and found ourselves driving south down to Federal and checking this place out. Hands down so far my favorite phở restaurant in the US. I don’t know why. I didn’t do a blind taste test or anything. Just for some reason, the broth was super super flavorful without being overly salty, fatty or heavy. Really wonderful phở restaurant. I don’t know if I’d consider myself a phở expert but seriously, I grew up eating phở like every weekend. I’d beg my mom to drive us to Chinatown to eat at Phở 79 in the middle of this random ghetto chinese shopping plaza(it’s the one where Scoops is in now. down on the first floor by the elevator that I’m sure is broken now). We’re talking mid 1980’s man. I got 30 years of phở eating experience. At least 10 straight years of monthly Golden Deli in Alhambra and Temple City. From my days working in Huntington Beach, where we’d drive down to Westminster at eat phở in little saigon. From my more recent trips of stopping by Brodeur on my way to and from LA. This is the best endorsement I can give this place. Damnit Denver… why’d you have to spring this place on me last minute???

OMG… I don’t even know where to begin. Let me just say, I only really like the bun bo hue at phở 888 which is only offered as a part of their weekend special. Even when I go back to california, I don’t like the bun bo hue and I am talking about restaurants that specialize in their bun bo hue like the ones in San Jose. What sucks about phở 888 is that the dish is only served on weekends and they run out by the end of Saturday sometimes. Thus I almost cried of happiness when I found out that Phở Duy offered bun bo hue on their REGULAR menu. This means I could eat bbh EVERYDAY!!! The bbh at phở duy was delicious and they also serve it with the satay sauce. It was the perfect amount of food that I was very satisfied but not bloated. I loved the depth of flavor the broth gave and how spicy it was. This is now my go to place for bbh if phở 888 isn’t opened. I also like that phở duy has way more variety than phở 888 so it can satisfy everyone’s cravings. They have banh mi which I want to go back to try. I also got their shrimp spring rolls which was pretty yummy. I heard their phở is very good so I definitely need to go back for that. The waiter was also really nice and gave my friend and I a discount because she talked to him in Vietnamese haha. This is a gem… come here if you can.

Pretty good Vegetarian phở. The vegetables were all over-cooked and were mushy. The broth itself was okay, but was lacking the«ah» factor. The vegetarian egg rolls were really crispy and fresh, and came with rice noodles, bean sprouts, cucumbers, and pickled carrots. The service was extremely slow and it took quite a bit of time for four phos(three of which were vegetarian phos). We had to ask for steamed bean sprouts three times before they actually realized what we were asking for. We ordered a side of extra noodles and it came in beef broth, but when we asked one of the guys if it was in veggie broth, he said yes. But, the broth was clearly a different color than the veggie broth… Wouldn’t be upset if he didn’t blatantly lie. We took the extra noodle cost out of his tip. Would I recommend this place? Eh… I’d rather go a little north down federal for quicker and better service and phở.

Still extremely tasty phở with prompt friendly service. Huge communal tables if you want to bring a group, or smaller tables if you’re flying solo or with a partner in crime. Vietnamese variety shows on the television and a giant glowing faux aquarium thing on the wall — if you have kids, I’m guessing this will keep them entertained for hours. I’m definitely hypnotized. Phở broth is a little sweeter with anise tones — a style my friend informs me is more North Vietnamese. I love the noodles and the steak is nice and lean and fresh. I generally have a penchant for a more savory meaty broth(Southern style) so I still love Phở 95 and Phonatic for that. And yes, they have tasty vegetarian phở loaded with veggies — used to be my default when I was a vegan back in the day when they were in a different location and I had youthful ambitions.

Without a doubt, the veggie broth is the best I’ve ever had!!! I’m hopelessly addicted now. Now I’ve got my daughters and my ex husband strung out on Duy phở. The cravings can hit at any time, day or night, so get a large to-go for emergency hits. I’ve tried the rare steak with beef broth and it’s delicious as well! What??? But my favorite is the spicy veggie. I want it. I need it. I crave it. Oh and the chicken wings??? More like crack wings. Slightly sweet with a peanut essence and you’re hooked. Trust me, I ate a half dozen by myself. If you like phở. If you like like delicious food. You’ll be addicted soon. But don’t tell your friends, they’re already busy at Phở Duy. I don’t like sharing too much anyways. Shhhhhhhhh.

Phở Duy is the best phở place in Denver! I was hooked from the first time i came and continue to make the 45 minute journey at least once a month. I guess they lost all their reviews when they moved next door. I always get the phở bowl with the most meats. The broth is the best I’ve had in all of Denver, flavorful and not too salty or over-MSG’d. I see myself coming here for a long long time. The wings are pretty good too as an appetizer.

Attention Unilocal– Phở Duy never closed, it moved like ¼ of a block from its former plaza location, to where I think Phở 96 used to reside. There is a newer Vietnamese place at its old location„ which we tried, and it had heart, but is no match for the awesomeness that Phở Duy, was and is. Hands down the best Phở in Denver! Love the egg rolls, and fresh rolls, the boba shakes. You really cannot go wrong! Prices went up a slight bit with the move, but the ambiance went up as well. Gets very busy and parking can be tricky. We have been to many of the Vietnamese restaurants in Denver, and will continue trying new ones, but this is still my go back to. Wish there was one with more of the French and not Chinese cuisine sensibilities. Woohoo as good as it gets, at least for Denver.

Phở Duy was once located in the old location, but on my recent trip home, I found myself craving phở, so we came here. My parents and I were confused where the place went, but luckily signs directed us from the old parking lot to the new place. I came here all the time as a kid and through my teens, so coming back home, I find myself craving phở in Denver. FOOD: I got the Phở Number 1, although I typically get Number 4 since I do like a lot of the other meats. Phở is so simple as long as the broth is good, the rest of it is easy. I typically get a medium as I have never finished a large and a medium is pushing the limits. The broth is alright, although I have still wondered to this day if MSG is why it tastes so good. Let us be real and say, yeah, there’s gotta be. My mom got the Bun Bo Hue, which is always a crowd pleaser. This noodle bowl is more adventurous containing pork knuckle and is pretty spicy. The knuckle was actually already cut out to just the meat, which is interesting, since we are used to seeing the whole knuckle. Also, there was no pigs blood. Maybe to cater to other tastes, but definitely thought that that ingredient was essential for a success bowl of Bun Bo Hue. SERVICE: You can tell this place tries to embrace the American service idea, but has a difficult time implementing it. It does seemed force among the employees to have that level of service, but hey, at least they’re trying. Eating phở has finally caught Colorado by storm(although I would like to say I’ve been at it for 20+ years), but people are finally opening up to great Vietnamese cuisine. Now they’ve been able to open to the new location next door with ample space and parking, you know Phở Duy has come a long way and even has the restaurant in Broomfield!

Phở at its phinest. Date of Visit: 5÷24÷15 Went to Phở Duy with a friend who claimed it was the best in Denver, so naturally I had to see for myself. The place is very old school, with much of the menu in Vietnamese, making for a great guessing game. Lucky for me, my friend happened to be very familiar and knew exactly what to order. Along with a take on the traditional spring roll, we ordered both vegetarian and beef Phở, both of which were fantastic. I ordered the medium size, which was still way too big to finish(unless you were in a Phở-coma mood). Both broths were very rich with deep flavor, crammed full of beef and veggies, and the noodles were just right. All in all, easily the best Phở I’ve had in Denver thus far.

Despite me being a prolific omnivore, I come here mostly for one thing. Phở Chay. The broth is absolutely killer! Baby bok choy instead of cabbage would be an improvement, as would adding back in the paddy straw mushrooms, and bringing back the rainbow carrots instead of just the plain orange ones. It’s been a while since they expanded the menu beyond just phở, but ever since then I thought their beef broth has suffered greatly. To me, it seems very watered-down and isn’t anywhere near the quality of a lot of other places around town. Perhaps it was just my isolated experience, though. To my pleasant surprise, the veggie broth has stayed true to itself and is as delicious as I remember and since the veggie broth has been virtually unchanged, I will give the Phở Dac Biet another shot or two in the future.

**They moved next door to old location** THEBEST Phở Restaurant in America. Period. Yeah, bold statement for a bold guy. You must be thinking, «What the phở?! In Denver?!» I’m actually angry that I can’t give 6 stars on this one, I can almost fight a baby. There’s no secret about this place, everyone in Denver knows about it and I’m about to exploit this to you. So listen up. If you’re reading this and you’re not in Denver, go to purchase a ticket to Denver, take a cab straight to Phở Duy, purchase a large bowl of Phở however you may like it, order an extra side of «tenderized» rare beef and sit back and bask in the ambiance. Yes Phở’king Way. Tasting is believing. I can’t explain why it’s the best, multiple shops in Denver have tried infiltrating the kitchen to steal the recipe and have popped up all around town, coining Denver as the Phở capital of the nation just because of Phở Duy’s original recipe. That broth though… so silky and savory, it literally glistens in the light when you look at it, an elixir crafted by God himself, cooked down for days waiting for you to come along and put it in your mouth. The second it hits your tongue you just know that something is different about it. It’s that umami feeling, that 6th sense totally engulfs you and takes you back to your childhood… home. That’s what you feel.
