Mina is a miracle worker! Many years ago, I went to her for the first time. She warned me it would take a year to rescue my hair (mangled by another salon). During that time, she made my hair look as good as possible. Wouldn’t trade her for anything.

Mina Moreno has cut and colored my hair for six years — and people are constantly coming up to me and telling me how gorgeous my hair looks. I have had a variety of styles and colors and always look great at the salon and at home for weeks or months at a time (the latter is rare, is it not?).
Mina is talented at cutting hair equally well for men and women; the guys I have seen leaving look hot, especially the 40 somethings.
Mina has also become a dear friend. It’s universal that your hairdresser is a confidant — even movies have centered on salons and barbershops. Especially if you are getting your hair colored, you are at the salon for an hour or two. If you go to a salon you want an experience of being pampered, relaxed and enjoyable — even meaningful — conversation. I recently followed her to Paparazzi when the salon first opened.

I visited this salon in August 2015. I had never heard of it before and had decided to try something new. I went in to get my roots colored and to get a haircut. It was a last minute decision, and Gina was very gracious to fit me in. I have long hair a few inches past my shoulders, and she did a great job of blending the color.
I am very sorry to say, however, that she grossly misunderstood my request for one «long layer» with the cut. I’ve been trying to grow my hair out, and I just wanted one layer added about an inch higher than the bottom to give my all-​one-​length hair a bit of lift. She talked me into cutting the hair around my face to chin-​length, to ‘frame the face’. I made a point to mention that I wear my hair in a ponytail a lot, and that I’d like to avoid shorter hair falling into my face. It went quick; before I knew what had happened she had cut 2 or 3 different layers into my hair, the top layer about 6 INCHES shorter than the rest of my hair. Unless I style my hair every day it is pretty unruly looking. And my hair falls in my face in big chunks when I pull it back in a ponytail.
I am typically a pretty adventurous person, and don’t mind experimenting with my hair, but this was so off from what I’d asked for I sent her an email. Her response was the ‘ol «sorry you feel that way» routine, insisting she gave me exactly what I’d asked for, and that my problem is that I just don’t know how to style it properly. So disappointing. It was otherwise a lovely salon experience.

Mina, Mina, Mina. Get your haircut from Mina. I got mine before I went to my Bachelor’s casting audition and it worked. I can’t say anything more because of my confidentiality agreement with ABC but go to Mina and you won’t be disappointed.

Marishka is an incredible colorist, stylist and haircutter. I found her a few months ago and hope to be with her for many years to come. Nice salon, new, decorated fabulously and the energy is good. The staff all seem to get along well and there is no negative energy floating around. :-) Kudo’s to Paparazzi!
