This is an alright pub. Decent prices and good pours. Service is okay. Parking sucks per usual for LoDo. Not good to go alone as it can get pretty boring, so bring friends.

If you order a Guinness and it arrives in front of you within 2 minutes, it’s not going to be a good pint. Drawing a pint of Guinness is a process and Maggie pours the best. She’s even won awards for her pouring skills. Definitely still my favorite place and their 20 oz is only $ 5.50. Great happy hour prices as well.

Best Irish pub in Denver that I know of. Great staff, bartenders all pour a great pint of Guinness. Their mixed drinks are also great. Come here most Friday nights when they have a great DJ on after 10pm.

Well I’d like to say we got to experience the famous Guinness there. However we were on our way somewhere and after being ignored by anyone who appeared to work there for 15 minutes, we buggered off. Irish hospitality it ain’t.

I’ve been a customer of Nallen’s so long the staff of this enterprise feels like family to me. I remember Mickey trying to talk me into naming my firstborn Patrick back in the day! The service is friendly, the ale selection is properly Irish, and you can order food from nearby restaurants to eat there. It’s a great establishment with a great personality and yes, they pour a real snakebite. Highly recommended.

Dig the old-school wood horseshoe bar that wraps around the center of the bar. The atmosphere is energetic, but not overwhelming. Our bartender was nice and treated us well. As with most bars, I find, the music was simply too loud(but I am getting older and appreciate conversation more than throbbing beats).

Cool little pub. Great selection of beers. Bartender was friendly and informative on beer selections. Place was pretty empty at the time, 6pmish on a Sunday, and unfortunately no food served. Also they had just run out of TShirts for sale. Oh well, maybe next time.

We have been coming to Nallen’s for years and years, It’s a habit that’s hard to break. The affinity we have for this pub and the people that work here is enormous. Many birthdays, St. Patrick’s Days, happy celebrations and some sad. It is always a welcoming and comfortable environment. The staff is awesome and many have been around for years, because Nallen’s is family. From the customers to the employees, everyone knows everyone and if you don’t know someone you most certainly will by the end of the night. Maggie pours the best Guinness in Denver, she has the award to prove it. Mookie is always top notch and will probably remember you from your previous visit. Keith is the bar manager and an excellent one at that. He also has the natural Irish gift of gab, and always welcomes you with a smile. Sean has a way with cocktails, each and everyone is poured to perfection! Plus he has a dry wit and is amusing. Clare and Emma are always running from table to table, through the massive weekend crowds, but always with a smile and your drinks. If you can’t tell this pub is a special place, and you should check it out if you get the chance. Don’t get me started on Uncle John, but if you’ve never been to a «true» Irish Pub you will with him, he’s a character! I promise if you go to Nallen’s, you’ll be sure to have a whale of a time!

Great iris pub. Good drinks and atmosphere. They had great service and reasonable prices. A nice local place that won’t make you feel like a tourist when visiting. Check it out if you are in the area, worth the time!

It’s hard for me to give Irish pubs 5 stars because they are all good but never that great. This one is the exception! The Guinness was absolutely perfect! The atmosphere rocked and it was St Patty’s but the bagpipes definitely helped the cause! The music otherwise was pretty great and the people working there were great and it was just such a memorable, fun night. I do plan to come back!

If you want to not feel like a tourist, more like a local come here. Only one girl behind the bar, and you wouldn’t even no. Maggie knows how to pour a drink! The girl doesn’t disappoint. Second day in Denver, and this was my second time here. Would definitely recommend this place, and would come back here in a second!

My buddies have taken me there for a beer. Beer was cold and dark — just as expected 8) minus one for not much to eat if wanted to, other than that place is all right.

Kind of a rubber stamp Larimer LoDo bar… but at least they have been there for quite some time and it is a consistent experience. Started a good Saturday out with friends around 9:00, and there was plenty of room and the crowd was was well controlled. As to be expected, the«make-up» of the crowd shifted by 11:00… you could physically see it happen, like a reverse Dorian Grey. Soon it was shoulder to shoulder mish mash of ball caps and bud light. We moved on, but in the 3 hours there it was fun.

Easily the best spot on Market St! My favorite thing about this place is that it’s a family owned and operated bar in the middle of what is arguably one of the busiest areas of downtown Denver. On any given night you walk in and are guarenteed to see at least one Nallen on the scene. John Nallen is a friendly, familiar face and he always greets people with a smile and a hearty ‘Hello!’ Everyone behind the bar(with or without the Nallen name) is friendly, knowledgable, and pours a mean drink. If you haven’t been here, you should make a point of it. I’ve never had a bad night at Nallen’s and I always leave with a strong buzz and at least one new friend.

When I went to Nallen’s last night, I had a very… unique experience that really proved that what makes this place is the staff. I came in with a friend because were in Lodo and wanted to check out a new place, and actually decided on here through Unilocal. The place was crowded but had enough room to move around, and it’s a well designed space. My friend and I were able to snag a table and ordered 2 Guinness from a server who was on top of her game and got them to us really quickly, despite the crowd. We really liked the atmosphere-good virtual juke box, plus golden tee and a bowling game, but still that old world pub vibe. Now here’s the interesting part. One drunken guy seemed to be annoying another drunken guy who was the table next to us. Things got heated so I started to step back, and the bouncers moved in. There was some exchange of words and then BAM-mace. Yes, mace. The dude at the table next to us straight up sprayed a thick mist of mace. Here’s where I realized how awesome the staff is. About 2 seconds later, mr. mace was in a headlock and being escorted out from the bar. We were all hacking, staff included, but the idiot was taken care of right away. So that’s what really sets Nallen’s apart, I think-a great staff that’s looking out for their patrons. I’ll be back for sure.

In my humble opinion a true Irish pub in a sea of wannabe’s. This is a place you can walk into and feel right at home — a family affair run by the Nallen’s who are warm and welcoming — always greeting you with a smile. The barstaff is friendly and can pour a mean pint. On my last visit a week ago they turned me onto a Bailey’s alternative — Coole Swan cream liquor. Try it if you enjoy creamy drinks. What I like most about Nallen’s is it is a great place to have a laugh — there is always a character in there that could have stepped out of novel — there is a story to be shared– especially on a lazy afternoon. Look around the walls and there is a rich history of actual mementos. A relaxed, laid back atmoshpere with a good juke box, Nallen’s remains my favorite pub in Colorado.

KILLKENNY is served at Nallen’s! Go try a pint of this amazing beer that has finally made its way to the States. What more needs to be said? Okay, maybe a wee bit more. Nallen’s is another chill Irish bar with a laid back, all ages crowd. Lots of potentially over-the-top Irish fare on the walls, but that adds to the charm. Nallen’s is a great little Irish bar in LoDo. I dig it.
