I had to wait one month to get in to see Tonya. And park where I got a $ 75 tix and had to walk over one block bc I parked where Tonya told me to park. The walk was made difficult bc I am a disabled vet and I am on crutches. I made Tonya aware of this. When Tonya told me she charges $ 115 for a trim, the 1^st thing I thought, «She’s a professional!» I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she would do a brilliant job since she uses a very low end product line in her salon.
Boy was I in for a surprise. Tony hacked chunks of my hair out indiscriminately throughout my head.
I was so excited to know that SHE was the proprietor and so hopeful that I would be well enough to make the trip to Denver for her to do my hair. I really like patronizing minority and women owned businesses. I was so happy for this beautiful sister with the very perfectly trimmed and cut and gorgeous hair (as was her colleagues so I know she knows how to trim hair). I saw the stylist, next to Tonya, perfectly trim another patron’s hair. I know Tonya knows how to trim hair after 15 years in the business.
As I combed my hair out the next day and was plaiting it up, I couldn’t believe it. My hair is more uneven than ever before. So far I haven’t cried yet. But to know that I was so close to such a person is disturbing and scary when I think about it. Tonya did this on purpose.
Did I say that I tipped her 20 dollars?

I am new to this salon and had no prior knowledge of the expertise of any of their beauticians. When asked «who I wanted to make an appointment with» I had no preference. I was assigned to Vickie who turned out to be the apprentice of the owner of the salon. I was given a relaxer, color, cut, and style. I have never been more satisfied. This girl is going places. She is also charming, polite and made me feel welcome. will definitely return! What’s more, when I returned home, my partner said that he had never seen my hair look better!

Mykal Grant is just a block away from my place. It is in such a convenient location even for people who stop by to visit and can just walk down the street.
I have referred all of my friends to Ashley who does my hair. I love that I can go in and she already knows what my growth plan and shape/​style for my hair is. There were times in the past where I trusted her judgement on what to change in my cut. She was familiar with my personal style as well as my profressional career and kept all in consideration when choosing a style for me. I’ve always been complimented on my do! Now I am growing my hair out and I trust the plan she has to make it look smooth along the way. My experience is always relaxing and luxurious.
