Mile High is the worst comic store I have ever seen. Completely inaccurate grading(overgrade when they sell, undergrade when they buy), eye wateringly high prices, and insanely low buying prices. I guess the only thing to recommend them is a decent back issue catalog, if you don’t mind the poor grading and the 200% markup over any other dealer. Why would you bother when there are so many better stores out there? Mile High has the worst and sleaziest business practices in the industry.

I enjoy shopping for comics. I make a random stop here to see what this place has every now and than. I do not like how cramped this shop feels. I wish there was a better turnover in their inventory but I can usually find something cool. The prices are usualy okay to high. There are better deals online but when I dont want to wait for shipping I stop by. Service is usualy okay. Employees usually know their inventory. If you have nothing better to do stop by this place. Overall hit or miss!

I placed an order online the day before, or possibly the same day that a recently high demand book exploded in value. It was advertised at $ 3.00 and with their ridiculous«discount» the price would have been $ 1.50 per copy. Granted I placed an order for more than their«5 copy limit», but I expected to see a revised final invoice showing how many copies are available for me to purchase, which is what they normally do for any other non«hot» book. Long story short… two weeks go by, and no communication at all! So then, I send an email asking about my order that I placed a few weeks ago, and they tell me to call them because they can’t supply all the copies I ordered. Well, gee… they had hundreds of copies the day I placed an order! So, now that a few weeks go by, they no longer have any available… but, they are now selling it on their website for over $ 40! If I didn’t email them in the first place, I wouldn’t have even known! The least they could have done was to send me an email right away saying they couldn’t supply the QTY I requested! It goes without saying that their Customer Service sucks! Do not get on that person’s bad side because MILEHIGH is always right… and the Customer is always wrong! I didn’t follow their instructions to call them, so their solution is to not supply me with any of the books I ordered at their published price, and when I mentioned BBB, they basically flipped out and just dropped me as a customer all together, even when I told them I’ve been a loyal customer for 20+ years! This is not a place you want to go if you have any problems because they will not provide good customer service at all. They are very arrogant because they think they are so large they don’t have to make everyone happy. Too bad they have such a poor attitude! P. S. I wish I didn’t have to give them any«stars» because they really deserve«negative stars»

their shipping time is a joke! I dont mind paying a little extra for what I am looking for, but this was 12 days until received, after paying a shipping charge for Fed EX.

I went here to get a Mile High Comics fix here the other day. The address here no longer houses the store. There was a small sign that indicated they moved up the road on North Washington. For extra accuracy I dug out the good old GPS to tell me where it was. It was somewhere on the 88th block, just two minutes away from the old location. I didn’t find squat. Maybe they are busy setting up the place or maybe they went out of business. I was left wondering around in a severely run down strip mall. Did this Mile High Comics die out? No signage was found where they should be indicating their presence. Have our heros met an untimely doom or will they make a glorious return? To be continued… Or not.

The store is now long gone. It was worth visiting but prices on collectibles and back issues were atrociously too high.

As I’ve mentioned on my other Mile High Comics review, I can’t recommend any of their stores, this one is NOT the exception. Mile High Comics is a rip off in general, the back issues are terribly over priced. Even worse, at this particular location they have a number of collectibles that are BROKEN and they are charging above retail price for them. When I talked to the staff they were annoying and not very helpful, but that seems to be every Mile High branch. They have a lot of stuff here and it was entertaining to look through the items but I would never buy a thing from this store, I just don’t trust them.

I had high hopes for this«mega store,» though our experiences at Mile High’s other locations were disappointing. We visited this location today, a Sunday, around 2:30p and were the only customers in the store. Like other locations, their gaming tables were located at the back of the store — at this location they were actually in a separate room — but the room was empty. Like every other Mile High location, this location is filled with cases of toys and collectibles, but many of the items for sale were broken. This astounded me; I just don’t find it impressive to have broken items for sale in a storefront. Put them on eBay or Craigslist and get them off of the shelves. The store had a large tshirt section and my husband found a shirt he liked that was one size smaller than what he wears. He attempted to look for his size but there was no order to the shirts, Ultimately, the store lost a sale due to lack of organization. There’s just nothing great to say about these stores. Yes, there are tons of things to look at, but nothing that appeals to me as a collector or comic book reader — their target audience =\

Mile High Comics is always controversial due to their infamous rep for having«Mile High Prices» on back issues. But this store is worth a visit. Note that I said«visit».not«shopping trip», as it’s typically not a good idea to buy anything but new releases from Mile High. So why«visit» this place? Well, this is Mile High’s «Mega Store» and it has the most square footage of any of their branches. They’ve taken advantage of this by utilizing every inch to display comics and comic stuff. Towards the back of the store is a giant-screen projection TV airing comic-related movies or sci-fi flicks. In the back right corner they have glass display cases displaying an impressive assortment of pop culture items. Old relics and paraphernalia from movies and TV shows dating back to the 1940’s. In addition, their DC and Marvel comic sections have similar display cases– each one decked out with appropriate items. For instance, a Fantastic Four case displays vintage Silver Age FF comics, along with mini-statues, action figures and even Underoos! They keep this pattern for other characters, with entire displays devoted to Batman, the X-men, Avengers, Superman and others. Great presentation. These display cases are worth the visit, as it’s almost like a mini-museum. Just ignore all of the price tags on the stuff. Although, who knows. maybe there really IS someone out there who would love to drop 75 bucks on a Batman squirt gun?!
