Until today I was a daily customer of this McDonald’s. Everyone knew me. Today I ordered a couple hamburgers and got cheeseburgers. I didn’t have time to return them, but I wasn’t even mad when I called and spoke to manager Darren, who offered to have them replaced at another time. So I went back later, and the lady at the counter said nobody named Darren even worked there. She didn’t care that I ate there every day, she was completely uninterested in helping out a regular customer. I went through the drive through because I thought I saw Darren working it. I was wrong, but the guy knew me anyway, knew I’d had an issue this morning. But his manager, some lady who did not give her name, refused to believe him or me, refused to replace the burgers. Two dollars’ worth of food. I wish this had happened two years ago so I could have redirected the literally hundreds of dollars I’ve spent there to a McDonald’s that knows how to treat their regulars. I am never going back to this one, and you shouldn’t either.

Here’s the thing: It’s McDonalds, my standards are FAIRLY low, I don’t expect a red carpet or fresh fries 15 minutes before they close. What I do expect is a clear understanding of cost. I went to this McDonalds, ordered a #4 or something similar, pull up to the first window, pay, second window now. to pick up my food. I ask for some BBQ sauce and at that moment I’m told they are charging xCents for condiments. I get the whole charging thing, but what needs to be understood is I need to know this BEFORE I pull up to the last window. I need to charge my card for that amount, HELLO? This is basic stuff, McDonalds. Would figure you’d understand. I mean haven’t you been making over what, 500 billion burgers? You sell them, right? For money… you tell people how much to pay on the menu, right?

They say the lobby closes at 11pm, but on 13 January 2014, they lock all the lobby doors at least 17 minutes early. Fail.

Most convenient RedBox ever. There’s decent parking and it’s between Northbound and Southbound Santa Fe. As for the McDonald’s, it’s open till Midnight, and the Sweet Tea is Sweet. Yup.
