Meh. In theory, this should have been really good. If you order soup, be prepared for it to be cold by the time you pay for it.

I like everything about this place! Coffee shop area has outdoor tables overlooking the art museum, and is part of but separate from the salad line up, although when busy, diners can access the pleasant seating in the coffee area. The salads are fresh, and they have interesting sodas at their self service drink area of the restaurant and good iced tea. We arrived after 12 so there was a line up to choose your salad. The set up is like a Subway but with a big difference. The fresh, high quality ingredients for every kind of salad you can imagine are lined up before you. I started out with a Da Vinci salad, but added some feta because I love feta. You can mix ingredients, change the dressing and they toss the salad in front of you. Fortunately our friend recommended a small rather than large salad. The small is a full meal for one person, and they do not skimp on the ingredients. Calories are listed on the menu. Very tasty, healthy, and low calorie meal.

I grab a salad here often. The turnover seems high and recently some of the staff has been subpar while others are still very friendly. However, when you get that less than stellar staff member who has few customer services skills it doesn’t make you happy about spending so much money there on a frequent basis. The salads are still good and the location is great, but some of the customer service experiences — not so great.

A few days ago while taking shelter from the rain and hail storm we noticed the Mad Greens which is part of the Mad Beans coffee shop. So when we were needing lunch downtown on our last day in Denver we decided to give it a try. It was nice and warm out and we spent a long time walking on the 16th St mall area, so a salad was on my agenda. I had the MAD Ivan, which was greens, Goat cheese, pumpkin seeds, portobello mushrooms and a balsamic vinaigrette. It was perfectly sized and very tasty. The nice man making the salad was a pleasure to talk to and I made Wisconsin connections with him and another worker. Yay! It was very busy when I was there, but it was after all 12:00. You order at th counter and they make your salad for you as you go. Nice selection of vegetarian options which is also awesome. I’d absolutely return if I have an opportunity.

Went in early to beat the lunch rush. 2 people ahead of me, waited 10 mins just to take my order. He repeated my order back to me THREE times and still got it wrong. Once I got to the cashier they were so confused why I got a soup AND a salad, and kept confirming if they were ‘together’. Yes, it’s just me by myself ordering a soup and salad — is that not common? Then they asked me FOUR separate times if I wanted a drink. How hard is taking an order? On repeat since I walked in the door! How frustrating. Hope some people that listen!

This place has changed in the few years since I was last here. It’s not bad, but it’s not baller either. For lunch on a Friday, it was emptyish when I first came in. Menus are by the door and on the screen over the order counter for salads and sandwiches. My favorite old sandwich is off the menu now, so I ordered half a Cuban and a cup of cream of broccoli soup. You pay down the counter and take your order number to a table. My Cuban wasn’t that great. All the right flavors were there, but the sourdough sandwich bread just killed it. Granted there are now only five sandwich options instead of the dozen there used to be, the Cuban was probably the best on the menu. My soup was not salty – thank god. The plate was decorated with a mini salad… I wish I was given some dressing to go with it. Coffee and wine are also available here. Didn’t try either. By the meal’s end, I understood why the ratings on this place has gone down. It’s very convenient for Denver Art Museum visitors who don’t want to pay much for lunch, but it’s not quality.

I am always leary of the build your own salad bar, either weight or by item… just seems to add up so quickly. I’ve visited 2 different locations, once with a coupon, once to be healthy with a friend.(you can check your nutrition on line before you go) This location is by the art museum, but i visited on a winter Monday, so not a huge crowd. The staff is relatively friendly although the order then hand off thing lends itself to your desires for your lunch getting lost between staff members. I went with a ty cobb — and dressing on the side… i’ve heard too many people complain that the request of light is just too risky… I wanted the spicy avocado, but there weren’t any prepped so i got a meh one… The ingredients are fresh and tasty, the bowl to eat out of leaves enough room to stir in your own dressing — but not the takout one — filled to the brim! Note: you order at the left, move through the line with your«salad enhancer/creater», then are dumped to pay — all three times you need to repeat what you wanted, what you wanted and what you got. Silverwre is behind you when you pay and you are allowed to dine in the other sections

A panini & soup, it is perfect for lunch. When I asked the girl who was putting my order in for just a grilled cheese painini and a soup. It short circuited her brain. I cannot be the only person who has ever asked for just a grilled cheese panini here. She explained that they only have the listed menu items(no grilled cheese.) And then proceeded to try to push the kids meal on me with a small grilled cheese, «a cookie and a drink». I only wanted soup & sandwich. So I got clever, and ordered a Mona Lisa«caprese type panini» but without the sauces and a soup. It was good. Mad Greens is in a great spot right across from the Denver Art Museum. It is always busy and the coffee & tea shop on the other side is great too.

Mad greens is great for a fast healthy lunch. I’ve tried a couple of their signature salads but prefer to build my own. Sometimes they are out of ingredients, like the pasta for their pasta salad. I would think it would be a little important to try to carry the items you offer on the menu, but can’t expect too much since it is still a fast food concept restaurant. Even though it is great, every time I eat there I do think to myself«I could have made this at home» and saved a bit of money since it’s over $ 10 for a salad and a drink. Haven’t tried any of their panini’s yet or soup but they have quite a selection of those as well.

Fresh. Fast. Healthy. Light. It would be Madness to not see Mad Greens as the Perfect antidote to post-Thanksgiving richness of buttery foods and heavy starches. Even better than the Craisin and local Colorado goat cheese salad on the busiest Saturday shopping day of the year? The location. Tucked between buildings the Denver Art Museum, healthy options are a welcome respite after the decadence of world-class art and architecture. Global art, local Colorado business on Small Business Saturday #ShopSmall Happy. Healthy. Holidays!

I was seriously bummed when the Cherry Creek Mad Greens location I used to frequent for lunch closed due to the impending demolition of the building. The manager there told me they were looking for another location in the neighborhood but that never happened. Imagine my happiness when I finally figured out that this Mad Greens location is not very far from work! And I can park either in the cultural complex garage(for free under an hour!) or at a meter not very far from the front door. I guess I kind of forgot about it since it’s not really visible unless you’re visiting the Denver Art Museum. I’m a late luncher so when I go in somewhere around 2:00 pm, the lunch rush is over. I’ve found the staff here to be friendly and helpful. I’ve also started using the Mad Greens app, which makes checking out a breeze and also gives me credit towards rewards. The quality of the salad ingredients here is just as good as I’ve seen at other locations. And since Mad Greens is a Colorado based business, they use lots of local ingredients in their food. Hooray for work lunch salad!

Fast food that is healthy and tasty. Great concept. Wish we had something like this in Reno. We are visiting friends here in Denver and came downtown to see the Colorado History Center. This was a perfect place for a quick healthy lunch. The space is utilitarian, and bright and colorful. It is a cafeteria style restaurant where you order what you want and then pick it up and pay at the end. Prices were reasonable for high quality fresh food. The portions were generous. I had the Edgar Allen Poe salad, a mix of greens with blue cheese, walnuts, apples and pears with a light port wine vinaigrette. Very nice mix of flavors and textures and the dressing was not overly sweet or heavy. Staff were friendly and helpful in guiding us newbies through the process. u

So do this my friends: take some extra calcium before coming here if you order the panini — your teeth will need the extra. Strength. That was the hardest bread and chicken I’ve ever had. At one point I thought I was eating a brick. Not literally but you get the picture. Do this: stay thirsty — they’ve got one of those secret levers on the fountain machine to get club soda. That alone is worth 1 star and the friendly girl that brought us our bricks for lunch gets the 2nd. Great work.

Quick service in a line point and tell type of restaurant. This place offers you $ 5 off your first meal if you download their app and use your phone instead of your credit card to pay. Salad comes in a large metal bowl.

I like the idea, and have enjoyed eating at a DC version of this concept. It may be just this location, since this is my first experience but a few comments: –signs all over saying get $ 5 off if you download their app. But you need a code to get the wifi and everyone was too busy to ask. So downloading over the phone was slow since mobile service is not great inside. –I wanted a coffee and espresso, but couldn’t pay or order where I got our salads and there was no one at the coffee station. –avoid the lunch rush as it’ll take you over 20 minutes to get through the line Salads themselves were nicely made with good ingredients. I’d go again just to confirm my experience.

I doubt I will ever eat here again. The food is fine, if a bit pricy, but the service? Every single time I come here, I wait. And wait. And WAIT. A panini that’s already made up and just needs to be pressed or a cup of soup that’s already been made and just needs to be ladled out should not take 20 to 30 minutes. To make matters worse, even when I have to go find someone who is forgotten to make my food, the most I have ever been offered is a half-assed apology. Since there are a number of restaurants around here with the prices that are comparable, where I can sit down to be served and actually get my food, I’ll go to one of them instead.

I’ve eaten at MAD Greens a handful of times and I do like the options. The Edgar Allen Poe and the Da Vinci are two of my favorite salads and the Marilyn Monroe sandwich was always yummy too. The people are friendly, most of their dressings are gluten-free, and they always have at least 1 soup option that is also gluten free. The salad makers are always willing to add in an extra ingredient for no charge if you want it(excluding protein options, of course) so you can customize your salad experience. I also like that they have reuseable glasses and flatware when you dine in.
