Came here for lunch excellent tacos! Perfect shells that were lightly toasted. Fast service too. Great spot.

Zero complaints from someone new to the area. Along with the Unilocal first-time-customer 20% discount, I got a beer and a chorizo taco for just over $ 8. Pretty laid back atmosphere. There were only two other customers at 1:30PM on Wednesday. The food itself was delicious, although I was starving when I went. Loaded up with guac and beans, I gulped it down in about two minutes. The taco wasn’t oversized, but it was definitely packed with flavor. The restaurant has plenty of room and an oddly-placed big screen TV. There is a sign requesting patience and explaining that they cook everything from scratch. It was empty and it only took about five minutes, although I can imagine it getting backed up a bit on a busy day. Music being played included Hootie and the Bowflish and«I like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch», so 5 star A+

I go on Sundays when some of my friends DJ the rooftop. The music and vibe is super fun and I like that they have music and beer pong. Overall the food is pretty mediocre. I’m not sure how you mess up a chicken quesadilla but it wasn’t very good at all. The breakfast burrito was only a little bit better.

Tried giving this place another shot. Thought I’d get a breakfast burrito – the one everyone raves about. They changed their hours to open at 11am. I found that out when I pulled up Unilocal to write this. Not much of a breakfast if you ask me. Poor management and business savvy will do this place under. Shame on me if you fool me twice. DONOTGOHERE! No hours on the door means«we’re open when we wanna be!»

Most disappointing burrito of my life. Perhaps an overstatement, but still an underwhelming and unsatisfying burrito and experience. I visited at 1130 pm, half an hour to close, on a Saturday night so it’s probably my fault for asking someone to give a fuck, understandable. I got a veggie burrito and while kinda tasty, there were no rice or beans or anything substantial. Was a very small, thin burrito and for nearly $ 7 i was left wondering why I even bothered. I hope it’s my bad luck they didn’t make the burrito right, because I just cannot fathom how they could charge so much for an onions and pepper sauce thing in a tortilla. Avoid, it’s not even good drunk.

Our experience was pretty bad. Burnt chorizo, soggy tortillas, processed cheap cheese. We couldn’t finish it. Big taco fans bit those weren’t tacos.

We love it. All open doors on a beautiful day, the guys that run it are super nice and care a lot. Food is delightful, the tacos are bad ass. My favorite thing about the whole place is the meat. No gristle or heavy fat, they obviously spend a lot of time trimming and cooking meats, and it shows. I’m super picky with meat, and theirs is honestly amazing. Thank You!

This place is hands down my FAVORITE taco place in Denver! Not only is there food AMAZING, the service and prices are excellent as well. I have been here a handful of times, and they have a downstairs casual dining, and an upstairs with a full bar and music. We have sat downstairs a couple of times, and upstairs a few times if we are in the socializing mood, and both were great. I definitely recommend this place!

We picked Los Tacos based on reviews from tripadvisor. It did not disappoint. The food is solid & reasonable, but what puts this place over the top is the friendliness and efficiency of the service. We felt well taken care of and well fed. We’ll revisit this spot whenever we’re in CO and definitely recommend it.

The restaurant is downstairs and the bar is upstairs. They do have a free parking lot directly behind the restaurant which is great! Technically I think cocktails are only aloud in the bar area, but don’t take my word on that. That said, the bar area is loud. Really loud. It’s like a night club with tacos. They do have some fantastic tequila infusions to try and their bartenders are always great. They make one mean margarita and can even do some interesting twists — just ask. My spicy food loving friend says their food is great and reasonably priced. You’ll have to take her word for it as I can’t do anything spicy at all. I just like Margaritas.

A friend told me it was terrible food. I wanted to prove him wrong so I went to try it. Service was pretty much not there. Managers/employees were sitting on the patio and we had to stand inside for a few minutes before anyone came to help us. We then make our way upstairs to the bar and the bartender wasn’t there. Turns out he was one of the ones on the patio. I ordered the tacos and my friend ordered the burrito. We both ordered chorizo. We had to wait a bit for our food. When it arrived, it looked good. Looks are definitely deceiving. The amount of grease was unreal. The chorizo had zero flavor and all I could taste was grease. The bartender was never around to ask how our food was. Finally when I said I didn’t like it, he didn’t bat an eye. He grabbed it and asked if he wanted me to take it off. He never asked what was wrong Hell yes I did. It was terrible. I was charged for the one taco I powered through and my friend asked for his to go. I do not recommend this place. Denver has good Mexican food and this is not a place to go to for Mexican food.

There is no shortage of taco places popping up in Denver. Unfortunately, many of them aren’t that great, and some are incredibly overhyped(sorry Torchy’s). I’m happy to say that Los Tacos Famous Taqueria is a different story. They have a relatively simple menu, but there’s something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable. You have an option of two taco sizes — the Jr. and regular. I found that two regular-sized tacos and one Jr. taco are more than enough food, even if you’re starving. In fact, next time I’ll probably go for two Jr. and one regular taco instead. All of their tacos come in a double corn tortilla(I think they’re grilled, which adds to the flavor and also makes them less dry) and are jam-packed with delicious ingredients. On my first visit, I tried the Veggie, Pescado and Diablo Shrimp tacos, and all of them were absolutely fantastic. In particular, I was surprised by the Veggie taco, as I didn’t expect it to have as much flavor as it did. It was filled with caramelized onions, green peppers, mushrooms, pico de gallo, white beans and shredded cheese. Yummy! Both the Pescado(fish) and Diablo Shrimp were excellent, as well. Diablo Shrimp had some kick to it, but wasn’t overbearingly spicy, which is totally fine with me. The person who took our order(I assume it was the owner) was also very friendly and helpful. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back, especially to check out their happy hour and the patio/bar upstairs.

This place is perfectly located near the heart of Denver. If you are coming to a game or just happen to be in he area, this restaurant has everything you need for a great time. The second floor has a great view and allows for you to eat, drink and watch the sunset. The first floor has the same minus the view. I recommend the Tacos and quesadillas. The margaritas are awesome! You will not leave upset.

Well before I get started on this, I did have lower expectations overall due to my visit being on Cinco de Mayo, for the record. The experience here was just that horrendous from start to finish. First, there was a long ass line. Yes, but wait. There is only one cash register and one person tending to it. You can only order your food and a beer there if that’s what you want. A margarita? You must go upstairs. Fine. So I go upstairs and it’s damn near IMPOSSIBLE to get much of anything, not even a «hey, I acknowledge your existence.» There are not enough people working to serve everybody. The blonde was taking her sweet time chatting with people and not doing much of anything except pretending to check an entire stack of IDs. So yeah, pretty lame to have to wait in 2 different areas to get food and drink. And the tacos? Not even nearly worth the word«good.» The meat was mushy and gross. They threw on Mexican cheese blend on every one. The only good thing I have to say is that the tortilla was kind of good but nothing outstanding. Overall the service was terrible here. And all they could do is make the excuse of «oh yeah, it’s just a crazy night» after I complained about standing and waiting at the bar for half a goddamn hour. That’s not a great excuse, jerks. Bad service is bad service, end of story. Don’t make excuses for it. Or maybe hire some people who are quicker and have more common sense. I’m sure the experience is fine here during off hours, but the tacos themselves were pretty lousy. Oh yeah, had a taste of the guac too and it tasted powdery like it wasn’t really made out of avocados. I don’t do this 1 star thing too often but I really felt this experience deserved it.

Had a breakfast burrito, with shredded chicken, egg, potato, cheese and green mild sauce. It was very flavorful and was ready quickly. I also got a Strawberry Aqua Fresca which tasted just like summer! It was a delicious and inexpensive grab-and-go breakfast. There is a parking lot in the back which makes visiting less of a challenge. Will definitely be back to try the lunch options.

I had written a 1 star review out of anger when they were closed two times in a row when I tried to go. Finally got to actually eat here so I’m re-reviewing. Burritos were tasty, the lengua was crisped a little(on a griddle I assume) was was unexpected but good. I highly recommend the sopapillas. They’re a little denser than average but in a really good way.

Went here on a Friday night because they have a Groupon and this place is walking distance from my house. There’s 2 levels. Dining room downstairs and a bar upstairs. We went up to check it out and the first thing we see is some frat bros playing beer pong. In a restaurant. I was kind of shocked. I’d expect this in a college town but not in Denver. Along with the beer pong bros there was awful EDM blasting and I couldn’t even hear what my gf was saying. We went downstairs to eat. Got 4 tacos and some chips and queso. The chips were the best thing we had. They were in house and the queso was tasty. The tacos however were not very good. They fry the tortillas a bit which is fine but there was so much oil on the tortillas that made it unappetizing and messy. Had to use so many napkins. The tacos are huge. They say they’re ½ pound tacos which is excessive. There’s just nothing impressive about them. Sort of bland. I didn’t really like any of them and especially didn’t like the chorizo. There was nutmeg or cinnamon in the chorizo that made it taste weird. Don’t think I’ll be back unfortunately.

I wanted to like it more. My hubs and I went on a weekend for a quick lunch. We wanted to try something new and both of us had passed this«new» taco spot. Let’s just say that we are suckers for tacos. And, as such, have pretty high expectations. We each ordered three. I went with the pork, chicken, and shrimp. I don’t recall what my hubs ordered. We were the only people on the ground level(perhaps there were more upstairs?), and we were helped by one employee. He took our order/payment, cooked up the food himself, and delivered it to us at our seats. He was friendly, and the food arrived as ordered and fairly quickly, considering it was a one-man job. Bottom line: these tacos just don’t compare to others in the area. They were decent. I felt like the meat was a little overcooked. And the pork and chicken was just too dry. Even drenching it in salsa/sauces didn’t help. The tortillas fell apart for both of us, which made eating quite messy. There was also an advertisement for free chips and salsa at our table. We brought it up, and the employee informed us it was out of date, but he brought some over to us anyway. Appreciate the gesture – but maybe your advertising should be more clear. Another man stopped by as we were cleaning up our table. Perhaps he was a manager or owner? He was nice and said thanks for stopping in. We made small talk for a little bit and he mentioned they had been there for a while now. They do have some breakfast burrito specials on the weekend and on Tuesdays for Taco Tuesday. While I love the sound of both of those, I’m just not convinced we’ll be back.

I went on my first visit to Los Tacos for lunch today and am so glad I did. Thanks, Groupon, for giving me the incentive to try out a new restaurant that’s now my favorite food hotspot on Colfax. Los Tacos offers fast-casual(first floor) and regular restaurant dining arrangements(second floor). Since I was on my own for lunch, I chose the fast-casual option, and even though I was notified that the food might take a little longer since it’s all freshly made to order, the wait time was minimal for food on par with the best taco joints in Denver. The pollo and pescado tacos were succulent and perfectly flavored(not a given at many Denver taco spots where animal protein options are often on the dry side unless deep-fried) and came with the creamiest Great Northern beans I’ve had the pleasure to scarf. I went with the Jr. Taco size(akin to the street taco portions at Pinche and Torchy’s) but may try one of their mega tacos the next time I’m in. Just as good as the food were the friendly service and lack of ridiculously long lines. I like Torchy’s and Pinche but am not a fan of the long lines and mediocre customer service. Los Tacos is a gem on Colfax. I can only hope that as it grows in popularity(delicious food? inexpensively prices? great service? how could it not?), I’ll be able to beat back the hungry hordes to grab tacos to go. Thanks for the excellent food and service, Los Tacos! I can’t wait to come back with hungry friends.

Chicken taco is amazing ! So flavorful. The rice and beans were fantastic. I can’t say I’ve ever had white beans served with a taco but I’m sure glad it happened. The owners Lisa and her husband Micah make you feel at home. Music and atmosphere are a plus. WhatchA waiting for ? Btw, free and large parking right behind restaurant by the Natural Grocers Hanan G
