They are either the same outfit as the«Locker Room» store in the Mills, or are run by the same outfit. Either way, they’re pathetically bad at cashing out customers and understanding their registers. We came in on a Sunday night to get Broncos stocking caps, and after being asked by one or two employees if we needed help whilst looking at them, we went up to the register to pay for our items. Here is where helpfulness, and good service, not only failed but instead completely degenerated into a near-comedic series of errors. The register monkey took our items, scanned them, and ran my card about the same time he told us the astronomical number that was our total. Two hats, which were buy one, get one 50% off, came to $ 45. Apparently a single stocking cap is thirty dollars nowadays; someone is laughing all the way to the bank. I passed off the astronomical total as being attributed to the fact I was shopping in a mall, and went along with the prices. The register monkey told me my card had only authorized for ten and some change, then switched registers to re-ring us. I paid cash and we left with our hats. Only then did I figure out that the charge, ten dollars and some change, was still on my card. Not as an authorization. Not as a pending charge. As a closed transaction. He charged me ten dollars, then charged it all again. Closed the transaction. Took my money. I’m disputing the charge, and I’ll be calling the store tomorrow. That’s(at best) a rookie mistake. At worst, it’s the most deplorable practice in retail – theft. I’m not coming back.

My husband’s hat size runs small and this is the only Lids store in the Denver area that carries his size, so it was nice to find! The collection of hats is pretty extensive and they have a rewards program you can sign up for too.
