Convenient– yes. They will even send a pleasant technician the same day. When you start having problems on day 8– they offer no advice or suggestion. I was asked to comb her hair, place the nits/​eggs and lice on a paper towel and take a picture. Funny, they are willing to send someone when you are paying $ 175 for the first hour and $ 100/​hour after that. On day 8 when you need help– they send no one!
This service is simply olive oil and a complete waste of money.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from one of the owners today who was willing to hear my concerns and address them. I was pleasantly surprised to get this call and am so grateful to her for out reaching me. She offered guidance on the phone as well as hearing my frustrations with the follow up actions of the person who triaged us on the call. Thank you Linda — your call meant the world and I am glad you care.

Not a business you want to need but lice doctors had an 800 number that was taking calls Friday night. They were able to schedule us right away and Ashley, the technician was at our house the next morning. She treated everyone in the house and helped to educate us on how we continue the process. She debunked some myths and helped allay our fears. I hope not to need them ever again.

I called two companies this morning, Lice Doctor and Lice Magic and I am so glad that I went with Lice Magic. Patricia and Rosie were understanding, fast and professional. My son had minor case and we were done in an hour. Our fee included a brush that we can keep for future combing. Rosie covered the follow up and preventive care very thoroughly and encouraged me to call her cell phone at ANY hour with questions or concerns and to even send photos if I’m not sure.
LiceDoctors’ representative hung up on me and threatened to charge a cancellation fee (they didn’t mention it previously) when I called and cancelled my unconfirmed appointment. She also demanded that I tell her who I was going with and I told her that I didn’t have to tell her that. She said «I suppose you’re right» and hung up. I’ve already put a notice on my card’s account.
Go with Lice Magic, go local! Don’t let the Black Hawk address make you hesitate, they were at my house in under 2 hours and they answered the phone when I called prior to 7am.

ps. Lice Magic was $ 90/​hour with a $ 50 travel fee to Denver (standard — more for Fort Collins, CS, etc), $ 10 disposal fee. $ 150 all said and done. Lice Doctors started at $ 175/​hour and $ 100/​hour after pro rated.
