Well. .. the five star version only exists in the album of my memory. In the 1960s and 1970’s, this was a great place to go. It had a «Woolworth’s» and a «Denver Dry» and«Fashion Bar» and a candy stand that sold the best caramel corn you could imagine. But all was lost to the ravages of time and we must move forward. ..(sigh.)

Lakeside Center used to be a mall which at one point and time according to an ‘ex’ of mine was a cool place to go to. By the time I moved to Arvada that time has long since passed by. I don’t even know if there were shops where the main mall area was to tell you the truth. If there was they were useless stores and did not make an impression on me. The only store that I do remember there was a Target store. It was so old it was best called a Targhetto store. Very small, about the same amount of merchandise as compared to the other Targets only you were reminded where you were and it totally sucked! A couple of weeks ago I was in this area and most if not all of Lakeside Center looked like it was getting torn down. Goodbye to an eyesore! How about putting a nice open space park here now since they finally gave this place the axe, which it needed a long time ago!
