Awesome cut! Kurt fixed my hair after a pretty terrible cut from someone else a few weeks back. Very chill, relaxing setting and a truly professional barber shop experience in the comfort of a home. Neck shave and shoulder massage were a nice touch — for an unbeatable price. Also, very awesome chill dog names Huey relaxes, watches and makes sure Kurt lines you up proper! I’ll be back soon!

If you’re looking for a no nonsense, efficient and professional haircut, Kurt fits the bill. His place is meticulously clean and super convenient to Cap Hill and downtown. The scheduling process is extremely efficient and each time I’ve gone, he’s seen me right on time with no waiting. The hot towel and shoulder/​neck massage are definitely nice touches too. And you can’t beat the price. With that said, it’s definitely an old-​school barber shop experience, which I think is Kurt’s objective. So if you’re looking for a fru fru spa, this probably isn’t the place for you.

It was alright. He is punctual and gives you a firm handshake with a nice little doggy. When he started cutting my hair, I asked him for a gentleman’s cut. He said he could but he could not use scissors so I was a little bummed about that. I would expect for a professional barber to be skilled with scissors at this point. Overall, I received a pretty good cut that will suffice.

Kurt’s a good guy, he does a good clean job, and at a fair price. Once you figure out scheduling it’s a no-​brainer to come here.

It’s always tricky finding a new barber shop. Most of the time you have to fix and trim even after your visit there. Not the case here ! Too notch service with Kurt !

I highly recommend Kurt’s Cuts! Kurt is a great guy, and very good at what he does. And I love that at the end of each haircut he puts a warm cloth on your face and uses an awesome massage machine. I’ve gone to him several times this past year when I’ve been living in Denver and I highly recommend him to anyone!

A bit on a pricier side at $ 20+ for a men’s haircut, but this one chair shop run by Kurt is by far the best barbershop I’ve been to. I’ve lived in numerous parts of this country, and thus, experienced my fair share of haircuts from various barbers. More often than not — I’ve left feeling indifferent about my hairstyle.
That has not been the case with Kurt. After every haircut, I’ve left very satisfied with my new look.
If you’re a male in the Denver area, you should seriously consider Kurt’s Barbershop as your next stop for a haircut.

Love this place! For any guy that wants to feel like a gentleman for a ½ hour and then the rest of the day, this is the best place to do it. The space is comfortable and without all the mirrors you can relax and let Kurt do his thing.

I just moved here to Denver from a military town and needed to find a new barber that could give me an expert level barber cut. Whoa, Kurt exceeded my expectations! I’m an instant regular.

As long as you play by his rules, great cut for a reasonable (though not amazing) price. When I saw «play by his rules,» this is slightly complicated — you have to make an appointment for a 30-​minute slot on the same day — can’t make appointments ahead of time — and you can’t show up early or late — you better be right on time!
Again, though, if you do that, it’s a very good hair cut.

I love the fact you can send a quick text to schedule an appointment and you’re in and out in 30 minutes. No wait-​lists, uncomfortable chairs and old magazines to pass the time, plus his hours should be able accommodate nearly anyone’s schedule. Great full-​service haircut at a great price. Got a great hair cut, in and out in under 30 minutes $ 25 with tip, with no wait just texted ahead of time even though my office is next to his, I like the efficient but caring manner in which he runs his shop. He has plenty of clientele and I haven’t seen anyone walk out looking worse then when they come in. All my employees kept telling me to go, so I did and now I am telling you to go, Kurt’s great!

I am always looking for a new place to get my hair cut, preferably ‘old fashioned’ in nature and style. I found this spot and was excited to try it out.
It was around 10:55 am when I arrived for my 11 am appointment, so I rang the doorbell as instructed on his sign. It was December 29^th, so waiting outside for a
few minutes in the shade wasn’t ideal, but not a huge deal. We were let in on time.
After being seated, Kurt asked me what I wanted to have done. Being that I am not well versed in ‘shop talk’ and not necessarily great at describing what I wanted exactly, I had come prepared with a couple of pictures on my phone. He quickly told me that he didn’t find pictures helpful and told me to describe it to him. So I did, as best I could.
As I had expected, he didn’t seem to understand exactly what I was looking for. My haircut was good, very well styled in fact, but it was the exact style I had been wearing for awhile already. I was looking for something new. Basically, his refusal to glance at the photo I had brought in had caused a haircut I wasn’t looking for. We also did not speak a word to eachother while the cut was taking place, which felt… a bit awkward.
While I was fairly I dissatisfied overall, he is clearly very skilled at what he does and the environment was very well put together. He gives excellent shampoos and amazing shoulder massages.
Worth a try if you are comfortable walking away with the cut that Kurt feels like giving you.

Kurt provides an amazing value, I refer all my friends to him! Do yourself a favor and give Kurt 30 minutes, it’ll be the best experience you’ve had in this city!

I met Kurt 8 years ago long before he started Kurt’s Cuts and have always had wonderful service and cuts from him. Often he was even booked up because so many people would request him personally. :) When I found out he started up his own business I was definitely quick to support!
After Kurt greets you personally at the door you go to the shop which is small, cozy and very personable. It’s nice to finally go someplace to get a really good haircut and not wait in line for 30 – 45 minutes. Kurt is a fantastic conversationalist and definitely makes you feel welcome. His prices are lower than all the other places I have been.
I definitely enjoy the fact that after washing your hair you get a warm towel on your face to relax you and after your haircut a fantastic shoulder/​back massage. I saw in a previous review as well that someone stated he uses a «flowbee-​type device»… this is not true. He uses a clippers like normal but the fantastic thing is it just has a vacuum attachment that prevents the clippered hair from falling all over your face, your clothes, and the floor.
I have gone to several stylists and barbershops in Denver and usually leave disappointed because they just don’t seem to listen nor care but I never leave disappointed when I come to Kurt and would definitely recommend him to everyone!
