okay… so heres my tale of dealing with this shop. on Friday I had taken my lg d500 phone to have the digitizer replaced. got the phone back and everything seemed to be going great til about 20 minutes later. then it started first flashing a red border… googled that and found that you have to disable the strict mode in your settings. so then, my phone just loses service… all data gone. I played around and drove around to find signals. didn’t want to take it back to the shop as I had a feeling he would try to fluster me with jargon that I wouldn’t comprehend… so I took the phone to the geek squad at best buy. they tell me its probably a sim card issue, to go and have a new one installed. do that… and still doesn’t work. they tell me at the T-​Mobile store that if it doesn’t work then its internal and may need lg to take it and run their own diagnostics. finally… I go to the full cycle cellular shop at the Colorado mills mall. the guy takes the phone and tells me to give him 30 minutes. come back there and he has phone dissembled on the bench… says to pay attention. and plugs in the friggen antenna! problem solved!!! the question remains that… why would the antenna need to be touched in order to replace the digitizer, let alone disconnected. and in 13 years you haven’t learned to plug all appropriate connections back into where they belong? in a panic and thinking it might be infected I wiped all information from both my sim and my sd… lost a ton of contacts and personal information because of that.
I do not recommend this store based on the fact that ALL phones should be returned to the customer with reasonable surety that their phone will be working properly. sure… there is a potential with all repairs… however, with my situation and based on the posts about this business, there surely appears to be a lack of professionalism at the base… and perhaps something a little more shystey !
