Contact me for an in depth rant. Lets begin by saying I never chose to do business with Iron Mountain, but they bought the company I was using. After a series of overcharges, mis-billings and poor customer service, we are attempting to sever ties with this worldwide company that prides themselves on customer service. When researching alternate companies, I contact a total of six(including Iron Mountain) for quotes on contracts. Iron Mountain came in priced 18% higher for services and included two charges the other five did not. One was the gas surcharge. Apparently this is an industry standard. However, they were the only company in that industry in the Denver Metro area to charge it. There is the additional charge of an Administrative Fee(about $ 20-$ 60 a month depending on type of billing you want). I was advised that this was to appease the investors to offset the expense of upgrading their network and online end users programming. They truly do have their customer by the short hairs. Especially if you are small. The enormous amounts of up charges to close an account is mind-boggling.
