Food was pretty standard nothing to jump for joy over I had the wings and the fish and chips, waitstaff inattentive, had to ask for malt vinegar as well as ketchup and hot sauce I mean come on fish and chips?

Despite all the positives in the Sung, the negatives still linger ominously in the form the the man we all call mumford… new management has forced the #1 bartender along with almost all others of the best staff… NOTETOOWNERSHIP… WAKEUP!

This bar was A-OK. It was super clean, the service was alright. The atmosphere was a little stuffy and they were playing loud club music, which seemed odd for an Irish Bar. I’d probably go back when I’m in Denver next time, but wouldn’t make it a place that I stayed at all night.

We had awesome service and good food. It was starting to snow, so we thought Pot Pie and Shepherds pie would hit the spot. We were right.

The Irish Snug is a fun place to come for events. They host Geeks Who Drink every Tuesday, which is awesome. They always run drink specials during trivia and have a pretty decent happy hour if you come before 7 or stay until 10.

I love the laid back atmosphere here. They have a legit happy hour and it’s twice a day. They also carry Breckenridge beer which is one of my favorites.

My husband and I went here when we first visited Denver and we’ve been back several times since we moved here. The last time we took some out of town friends by for a drink, they loved it. Their menu has changed a few times, something new to try is always nice but I do wish the curry fries were a constant, they were delicious. The Irish Nachos weren’t bad either. The only thing I’ve had that wasn’t good was the hummus. It had so much garlic it actually burned and I couldn’t taste anything else but that’s not exactly a traditional Irish dish. Their drink specials are decent and I love the atmosphere. We’ve had good service every time we’ve been in as well and my husband always enjoys his food from there. The patio outside is half smoking half non smoking, as someone who is pretty allergic to cigarettes, it might as well be all smoking but it’s nice to have the option to sit outside. We were even ‘serenaded’ briefly by a homeless man walking by but I didn’t take off stars for his singing skills, the servers were pretty quick to ask him to leave. The parking in the back is a nice plus. It’s available in the evenings once the business it’s tied to closes.

This was my first time here, and it was on my list of authentic Irish Pubs to hit. The place looks the part. It has the ‘snugs’ you would expect, rich wood décor, and just a beautiful pub. The food is somewhat authentic, with a nice traditional English breakfast, but with some other faire that is purely made for the yanks. The drinks were good, but I think the server forgot mine as the other people at my table received their second round, and I did not. The server returned about 5 minutes later, glanced at me and said ‘Oh, your drink should be coming shortly’. This is usually code for ‘Oh, I forgot about you’. Service started off good, but all but disappeared when we were ready to get the check and leave. Not sure if they were overly busy, short handed or what, but when the check did finally come, no acknowledgement from the server that we were waiting a while for the check. Not sure if I would return, as there are several other pubs on my list I have yet to hit, but if I am in the area again and feeling a bit thirsty, I may pop in.

Very delicious salmon plate. It was the healthiest item I could find on the menu. Good staff and bar tenders are what make this a good bar.

Came here for the Women’s World Cup Final expecting a s**t-show, and it wasn’t that way at all. They accommodated 12 people pretty easily though we were there early and it filled up quickly. Food was alright, nothing special, but good. especially after a few drinks. Waitress forgot to ring in a few food orders, realized her mistake, and bought us a round of shots. Nice of her. She did quite well actually. Pretty solid Irish Pub, will probably be back.

I’ve been here multiple times since discovering it a few months ago. Everything has been really consistent and pleasant. Their happy hour is really awesome, especially when you can hang out on the patio out front in the beautiful weather enjoying two for one drinks. They also have a food menu on happy hour and everything is mouthwatering delicious! The waitstaff are really on point with making sure everyone is taken care of in a timely fashion as well as super happy and polite. It really does a lot for the vibe here and I will continue coming back!

Just came here yesterday to watch the women’s USA vs. Germany World Cup semifinals!(GOUSA!) What an awesome place. Got here at 5 and got to take advantage of their happy hour. They had 2 for 1 Brekenrdige Rotators! You can’t beat that. And to make even the non-drinkers happy their Happy Hour appetizers aren’t too bad either! We got the Beer Battered Fried Pickles(A MUST since they use Kosher pickles they are nice and crispy after being fried!) and the Pretzels with the side of beer cheese sauce as a starter. We also ordered the Corn Beef Cabbage Rolls and the Pulled Pork Sliders. All were top notch! and all for $ 6 each or less! Atmosphere is great– it was a packed house and the patrons all got into the game making it a very fun time. Staff was very efficient and was able to stay on top of our orders, checking up on us, while keeping a friendly fun attitude. I’d highly recommend coming here anytime! P. s. There’s a down stairs so if it’s ever packed make sure to mosey on down to check for additional seating!

The food is perfect, but the service is a little lackluster. You pretty much get your food, and your check. I don’t need to be bothered my entire meal, but come on, a refill would have been nice. This has been a problem every time I’ve been in, weekdays/weekends, so no real rhyme or reason. However, if you want a pretty damn traditional full Irish breakfast, in the heart of downtown Denver, this is the place for you!

Music was super laid back/upbeat to set the mood for a great sunny brunch on the patio. Walked in and was able to sit down right away(perk for a busy Sunday afternoon). Service was top notch even with our waitress just having started. Can’t miss the $ 3 mimosas and blood Mary’s! This will be a go to spot for brunch from now on.

Pros: ample room for seating, plus there was live music on a Thursday night. The Bangerz and Mash was amazing. Service was phenomenal. our waitress was super attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Although our full party didn’t arrive until an hour in, she handled everything with grace. Cons: no real cons, except for the fact that parking is always difficult near colfax. The Irish snug does have its own parking lot, but it seems to get full quickly. I just decided to look for street parking. Overall, great place to hang out with friends, drink, and watch sports. Definitely will come back.

We came for the snug run which is every Thursday. If you aren’t in on it, you should be. It is a scenic 5K around Cheeseman Park and past the Botanic Gardens. After running it 10 times you get a free shirt. Everyone starts and finishes at the Irish Snug, which is a pretty cool spot. We tried some of the pasta and salad which was available to the runners but were still hungry. The lack of 2 stars is for the service here. When we finally found a server, a brunette named. Larkin? she brought us not enough menus. We ordered beers,(awesome beers on tap by the way!) they took a while to show up. She then got our order, the table also ordered soup, fish & chips, & wings. When it started taking a while we decided to order more beers, also took some time. Someone else brought out the food, it was hot and delicious! By this time though we really had to get going, we didn’t plan on staying at this spot for so long. We asked for our bills by the person who brought our food. They didn’t tell our server. Our server, who instead of coming to check on how the food was, was constantly snatching her tips off of tables who had left and seeing how much she got, literally counting the bills. She also ran our cards incorrectly. Instead of taking any ownership and responsibility, she blamed the kitchen and being understaffed for the poor service. At least she said sorry, but I have been a server before, you take ownership when things are going wrong. We will be back for the snug run but next time we are ordering beers directly from the bar and eating dinner elsewhere.

Now that I’ve actually had a meal here, I’m glad to update my review. Had the lunch appetizer of Blackened Mahi tacos. Couldn’t decide between their regular tomato artichoke soup, or the soup of the day, which my waitress(Maggie) highly recommended. And, I can’t remember the name of the soup, but she mentioned it had olives(world full of nope), so I got the tomato artichoke soup. There were two tacos in the appetizer, but they served me well as a meal. They were light, well seasoned, and the cabbage gave a nice crunch. The tomato artichoke soup was creamy and delicious. The outside porch was awesome on this gorgeous day, Maggie was awesome and always seemed to be there when I needed her for something, and the food was yummy.

Sometimes you just need to kick back in an Irish pub and Irish Snug is really OK for such pursuits. The front patio is pretty pimp… only it was taken over by a ragin’ bachelorette party the night I visited. I have a strong feeling they attract that contingent on the regular as the place lends itself well to these. So, we sat inside. Inside is well-kept. I had a mediocre glass of Pinot. Then I switched it up for a more appealing cocktail off their list. Nice that they have cocktails. I don’t expect that in an Irish pub! The truth is, I’d be hard pressed to return when there are so many kick ass bars in the vicinity with a lot more character(and a lot less bachelorettes). Also, the practice of doing last call right before you flick the bright lights on is pretty damn lame. My experience was all around A-OK and I’m sticking to it.

This is a good bar with good food. The Irish songs that I had no idea the words of, were blaring from everyone’s mouth. GOODVIBES! Great music… one of the guys was even plaing a SAW like a violin! I felt like I was Ireland. It was very Irish authentic, per my friend, who’s been to Ireland multiple times. The Irish car bomb and shepherd’s pie were delicious, however the bangers and mash was a huge let down. But, again, you have to try the shepherd’s pie!
