Absolutely one of the premier parks in Denver. Huston Lake Park in the Athmar Park neighborhood is simply stunning. The view of the mountains over the park and lake is unbeatable when looking west from the east side of the park. The lake has some long grasses and marshes rather than regular shore lines in many places that are really beautiful. There is a paved trail around the park that is just under a mile long. On the weekends there is a general party atmosphere with people playing volleyball and grilling. In the mornings it is peaceful with dog walkers and runners. And the homes on the north side and the south side of the park add a totally different flavor to luxury. The whole package is worth experiencing, I guarantee you will come back.
Also there is a playground and basketball courts.
