Run, Run far and fast away from this place, Stephanie did a lousy job on my wife’s hair on Saturday 1.24.2015 she cried, Stephanie has no business doing hair. Again Run — Run to another Salon. And if ownership allows this they are guilty as well!!!

Andrea is the best. I went to her years ago when the salon was on Tennyson, but lost track of them when they moved. I thought I was out of luck, but a drive down 29^th the other day proved me wrong! They are still around, and Andrea is still my stylist of choice. Prices are more than fair, and the atmosphere is fun without being overwhelming or stuffy. Perfect stylist, perfect salon. Won’t go anywhere else!

So I started the hunt for a new stylist. Being a girl, we all know this is not an easy feat! I will say I initially looked at the Unilocal review of this place and questioned it. Then I realized the last review was over two years ago. Being that it’s down the street from my house + I had a wicked gut instinct that it had to be awesome (Honeycomb has been in the Denver community for a good while), I chose to stop in. I was cheerfully greeted by one of the stylists, Stephanie. Well… let’s just say my gut instinct was correct and absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair. I cannot say enough in this review but bottom line she does not lack «attention to detail.» The cut, the color and lets not forget the conversation! WE all know we go to our stylist for a slight venting/​therapy session and let’s just say she aced this. I loved her and Honeycomb so much that I also sent the significant other. We will continue to be regulars for Stephanie and the Honeycomb Salon.

Love, love this salon. Angela is the best to me and my kiddos. Rebecca is great with nails and it is such a fun and cute salon.

Rebecca always takes great care of my daughter and I. We love the products she uses and she is so great with color. Appreciate the time she takes to find the right color reds that I Iove and the perfect cut for my super fine hair and busy life. Thanks Rebecca for your attention and patience with my teen… we are forever in your very capable hands with complete confidence.

This is a wonderful salon. Andrea is a gifted stylist: warm, personable, funny, and highly skilled. After three attempts by another salon to fix the reddish tint they had colored into my hair; Andrea knew exactly what to do. In one visit she corrected the color leaving me with the exact ash brown shade I described and the red has not returned. The customer service I receive from everyone here is always excellent. They devote their time and services to local Denver children’s charities. The Highland’s location is fun and the shop is inviting.

I was very nervous about trying someone new for color. I thought by explaining IN detail what I wanted up front and what I did NOT want would prevent any chance of miscommunication. I walked out with everything that I said I didn’t want! My roots looked like the color was about 2 months old, I was blonde when I specifically said I wanted LOW lights with minimal blonde and the blonde color was literally in CHUNKS. The salon was very dark and it was difficult to see the results as well. It looked very bad as several friends and co-​workers concurred with me.
The stylist name was Brooks. He did a decent cut, but I do not recommend him for color. Customer service must be a «bonus» these days instead of the «standard» apparently. To bad there was no bonus in this deal. When I called a few days later to explain that I wasn’t happy and why (that I didn’t want to be blonde, the color wasn’t anywhere near the roots, etc) he didn’t listen the second time either. His response was, «have you ever thought about just going blonder?» All of his suggestions for fixing the problem were exactly what he did the first time, that of course, I didn’t want.
The owner seemed very nice but the other female stylist a chair over had a very bad attitude and snotty.
I would never recommend this stylist due to poor work and very poor response his customers asking for help with a style/​color they were not happy with.
It was an expensive mistake seeing how I had giving him an approximate 35% tip and then had to pay $ 140 to have the problem «fixed» at another salon! You would have thought he would have at the very least offered the tip back to me.

Michael is awesome and gives not only a great hair cut but good conversation. This little place on Tennyson is gem of a salon with very fair prices. And, after your cut, you can shop or eat at any number of unique shops, boutiques and restaurants. I followed Honeycomb when they moved from their Highlands location which was only a few blocks from my house.
