Hangar 2 is nice community market. I was walking the neighborhood and came upon the Saturday Farmer’s Market. I like that the market wasn’t crowded, it had a nice relaxed environment. I’m not a fan of overcrowded farmer’s market; it seems to take away from the experience for me. While the crowds were light they do need to get more people from the neighborhood to stop by to make it work. When we walked by at 11:00am the crowds were slim. The market is tucked within the neighborhood which may make it hard for visibility. I noticed parking was easy, as it’s in a lot. There were some folks walking and biking to the market as well. They layout is nice with a couple of rows of vendors lined up and two trucks on each end. It was nice to see they had covered seating for one to enjoy their food or drinks. I only remembered one produce vendor, but there were plenty of offerings on their table. I also came across some food vendors, coffee, crafts, candles, sweets, sauces, breads and more. The market runs through the end of September. They have a Facebook Page with updated information. The vendors we came across were friendly and eager to help out.
If I lived in the area I’d stop by the Farmer’s Market and pick up some produce and such, and perhaps a bite for lunch. Once done at the market, make your way over to the Lowry Beer Garden for a local brew. Sounds like a nice Saturday afternoon to me!
