Do you like good hookah? To be treated well? Then this is not the place. They have numerations health code violations from what I saw, don’t treat employees with respect, don’t sit with department of labor standards within Colorado this is a horrible establishment don’t waste ur money here and go somewhere nicer this isn’t the place for you by all means save yourselves!

So I ended up going to this hookah bar because my friend knew two people who were DJing there on Friday night. It is safe to say that their music was the HIGHLIGHTOFTHENIGHT! My friend and I walk in, and it’s like we just walked into the back of an abandoned lazer tag fun house. This place seemed like the type of sketchy joint where vulnerable, unsuspecting women that hang out with Bill Cosby would be. Unnecessary black-lights filter the lighting of the room, perhaps to distract the patrons from the service which is comparable to a 12 year old boy wetting the bed and a 30 year old man actually taking a shit on his bed. We order a hookah, sit down, and receive our hookah with no coals. I did enjoy how we were able to pick between a straight glass hookah and a hookah with ice cold water and an ice hose, at no extra cost. What I didn’t enjoy was the fact that we had to wait 30 minutes to get our coals. That’s right, 30MINUTES! Here is a list of things that can happen within 30 minutes: * Bill Cosby can meet, talk to, drug, and effectively bring home a vulnerable young woman to engage in the act of daterape. * Martin Luther King Jr. can give his«I have a Dream» speech TWICE! * Hiroshima can be hit with a nuclear bomb * Nagasaki can also be hit with a nuclear bomb * Bill Cosby can mix a drink for an vulnerable young woman called«The Nuclear Bomb», take her back to her home, and daterape her. Our waitress_who looked like she was responsible for the death of Kurt Cobain_found time in between getting her nipples pierced to finally get us some coals. I give this place two stars because they had a good choice in DJs and because the hookah was okay. But if you are someone who takes the service of a hookah bar establishment more seriously than he takes the president, the internet, and your family, someone like me, please DONOT go to this petri dish of a hookah bar. Go to Nara Hookah Lounge instead. The waitresses there are hot. And they didn’t kill the voice of a generation.

Place was pretty typical hookah bar/lounge. Nothing stand out to me! Just got my hookah, relaxed for an hour or so! Nothing was amazing and nothing was bad! It was a very normal hookah bar experience for me!

Honestly feels like high school night at a club, music ranges depending on the night and the normal patrons can be a bit rude. The staff is friendly and willing to help anyway possible. The hookahs hit smoothly and produce tasteful clouds, not too expensive considering some of the other Hookah Lounges I’ve been to. Its a nice atmosphere to go to during the weekday late-night adventures. Of course being Colorado you can’t buy alcohol there which sucks but the law is the law.

Can’t speak for the hookah but really liked the vibe and the layout of the place. Small, intimate and very limited parking but cool nonetheless.

Jasmine is awesome! She’s new here but she’s very kind and generous. This place is very chill(on weekdays) and it’s just nice to sit and talk to your friends. It’s one of the better hookah places. They allow outside food and dogs. So chill ^^

This is easily the best hookah lounge in the Denver area. Great vibes and grade A hookah. I have never left disappointed. Amy and the rest of the crew are friendly, inviting, and helpful. If you really want a place to kick it with some friends and genuinely have a good time come check this place out. 10⁄10 easily. Smoking Caterpiller and Marrakech need to take notes, calling you out.

A little pricier than most hookah bars, but easily the best hookah, best service, and great staff.

Not even a busy night and it took over half an hour just to get my hookah and another 15mins after that for any coals. Watched the server change the coals on several other tables so far, seen her change her own. Ive been a regular for years and the new people theyve hired on are awful. The service tonight and the last few times ive been here is at best abysmal, if there were a better way to describe it i would. Holding out hope that next time its better.

I’ve been to a couple hookah joints over here in Denver and back in Seattle. I like their selection and the staff was friendly. Eric was the guy who helped us out and was willing to give us the run down and chit chat for a bit. We used one of their glass hookahs, which is what I’m gonna be rolling with from now on. Music wasn’t great, but I had a fun time. Seems a little pricey, but I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic service. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I was greeted outside and again at the bar. They helped me order and made some fantastic suggestions. I suggest the ice bowl and ice tip. Music wasn’t too loud and I could easily have a conversation. The hookah came very quick. I highly recommend this place and plan to return.

Decided to stop in with my boyfriend after dinner. I called ahead to see what tobacco brands they use, and to my surprise they carry a lot(Starbuzz, Haze. Al Fakher, Tangiers, Fantasia, Fumari, ETC) more/better than I anticipated. Anyways, we get there, walk in, and I wasn’t really sure if I was supposed to seat myself or go up to the counter and order. I went up to the counter to order anyways and the gentlemen I spoke with was nice. It’s 15 dollars for one hookah for two people. It may be more expensive depending on tobacco flavors and extra amenities(ice tip, funnel bowl, flavored base, etc) but I already knew what I wanted when I arrived so, I ordered that. It isn’t a very big space and there was extremely low music playing in the background, one coin-operated pool table and one TV that wasn’t in use. There is a dimly lighted side to the café and there is an extremely bright side. I personally prefer the dim lighting, however there was a good-sized group of regulars taking up the couches and being a little loud for my liking(and the lack of background music). My boyfriend and I sat down, and it took about 10 minutes for out hookah I come out. Which is standard, in my opinion. Right away, I noticed that the hookah pipe we were given was either brand spanking new or just really thoroughly cleaned. Which is a HUGE deal to me and made me so excited! However, the hose we were given was stained with a grape or guava flavor, which definitely offset the flavors I ordered. But, oh well. The coals that were placed on my hookah in the very beginning were definitely the«leftovers» from the coal carrier and it took a little while to get new coals. I did find out from the gentlemen who owns/operates the café that him and his brother(?) recently(October 2013) bought out the place and are in the process of revamping it. And that is always exciting. He also told me that they have DJ’s on Fridays & Saturdays, which gets the place a little more busy. So, overall, I may be coming back to this place!

Habibi hookah just got bought out by new owners who really know their stuff! From what I can tell, they’re taking many steps to improve the interior and up the quality of service. Both times I’ve been here in the last month they were eager to help me pick out good flavors and were always friendly. I never had to wait longer than five minutes from ordering my hookah to it arriving to my table. And the tea is delicious. With the upcoming events like Xbox gaming nights, Habibi Café is only going to get better.

Habibi is such a chill spot during the week. I love to go and relax with my friends, play some cards, listen to some music. Then on the weekends it gets crazy– I’ve gone to some wild foam parties and dress-up nights. The DJ, [or DJs?] are always playing something fun and different… and the hookah is good too.

I have known about Habibi’s for a while. From what I understand there are two girls that run a coffee shop in Capitol Hill called Gypsy House(Which I recommend) and the mother often steps in to help out. One time the mother was there and said that she also ran this place. At the time I did not want to smoke hookah but kept what she said in mind. I finally decided to try hookah and liked it! I have been to several since and wanted to try this place, remembering what the mother said. The first time I went here they were not open. It may just be me but opening at 6 p.m. even for a hookah bar seems late. Most that I have been to open in early to midafternoon and assumed it was standard practice. Not here. The second time I went here was on Halloween evening. I assumed they would open at 6 and planned accordingly to do other errands but when I drove by at 5 their sign said they were open. So I stopped and went in. Indeed they were open, no one forgot to turn off the ‘open’ sign or anything! I hate it when that happens. Yet it did not make any sense because on their business hours on their sign it still said 6 as to when they open. Whatever. Maybe they opened early for the holiday. They had an impressive array of hookah merchandise for sale but I just wanted to hang out and smoke most of the evening. The guy that was there was the only staff member at the time. He handed me the menu of hookah flavors. I picked Cinnamon. He said«Uuuuuuh. Blue Mist or Pumpkin Pie.» I assumed that they did not have any Cinnamon left but boy what a menu of items just to have only two in stock. Maybe it was an issue with the language barrier, who knows. Regardless he was not friendly at all. Where was that nice mother at anyway? I did not want to argue, I just wanted to smoke. I chose the Pumpkin Pie. Since he was the only one there it seemed to take forever for the hookah to come. Two other customers came and he helped them which delayed the process even more. Now I don’t want to sound like a big baby here but when the hookah did come he did not get it fired up for me to smoke at all. All of the other hookah places I have been to the staff takes drags on the hookah pipe until it is ready for the customer to smoke. He just clattered it down and left. So much for etiquette which I thought to a certain extent was important for smoking hookah. It was not a big deal really but again, not accommodating or friendly at all. As the night went on I hopped onto my computer and spent several hours there goofing around, surfing the net and smoking. More staff members came in as the night went on and the place became more friendly. Still no sign of mother. As for the tobacco itself I have had better for sure. Complex blends with complicated names usually pull off what they are describing. For example I had Cherry Cordial hookah once and believe it or not it actually did taste like Cherry Cordial. Here though I tasted nothing ‘pumpkiny’ as what was described. It mostly tasted like nutmeg and clove which was half right. The tobacco was not terrible but it could have been better and it would have been nice to have had Cinnamon hookah! Often times I slam Fort Collins which is where I live right now at the time for being subpar in various ways. However I have to say that I really like their two hookah bars in town. I know Denver has many more hookah places to try and I do not smoke hookah often but I have not come across yet a hookah bar that I really could get into in Denver. I hear Boulder has good ones but for now I think I will stick to the ones in Fort Collins!

The bar scene here is not my speed(young, loud, young), but I have to give major props to Habibi for its real deal hookah supplies. Imagine calling every smoke shop in the Denver metro area and asking where there hookahs were made or what brand they sold and getting responses like this: Random Smoke Shop 1: Umm… I think they are made in India or something? Random Smoke Shop 2: We sell the small kinds and the spinney kinds. Which one are you looking for? Random Smoke Shop 3: Aren’t they all made in China? I didn’t know there were different brands and stuff. Pure frustration. Now imagine calling Habibi and hearing this: Habibi Hookah Café: We sell Khalil Mamoon, Mya’s and other Egyptian types. We have American made ones too. Come on down and we’ll find a good one for you. Now that’s what I’m talking about! They have dozens of hookahs here and the staff knows there stuff. They know the stem width difference between a Khalil and a cheap Chinese brand. They know what shisha has the most molasses and which ones are dryer. They know which hookah’s can be converted to multi hose hookah’s and which ones are better left as single hitters. Unfortunately, when it was all said and done I didn’t buy a hookah from here, but only because they didn’t have something that was red(which is what my wife wanted and I wasn’t about to go against her wishes on this one). They offered to order me one but I decided to just go it alone on the net so I could get it faster. A part of me wishes I would have just bought one from them to support local business and all. I figured the least I could do is give them props for being a real deal local hookah supplier that I’m sure I’ll revisit at some point in the near future. If you want to hang out there that’s on you.

This hookah bar sucks. I’m not really a hookah bar connoisseur either, but I have never had a great experience here. I’ve had one good date at Habibi and it was because I was smitten with the guy and not the hookah bar. The hookah is standard hookah. The place is way too loud, and the seating is extremely uncomfortable. Walking in you don’t feel welcome, you immediately get an obnoxious flash light shined in your eyes by their«bouncer» who checks your id’s. Just doing his job, but the place isn’t well run at all. The DJ’s they hire suck, and they seem to be understaffed. I had to wait 30 minutes once for the woman to come over and start my hookah. And they always seem to forget the mouthpieces. Gross. Not sure what their target demographic is because on any given night you’re surrounded by bros, jersey shore types, barely legals, stoners, middle aged men, and 26 year old middle eastern guys who try to be gangster and try to get in with all the younger girls. The only fun part about Habibi’s is the guy who runs the place, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a high risk cocaine, human trafficking or illegal importing operation in the back. He’s the kind of guy that takes no shit, scary Middle Eastern dude who runs the business out of his own wallet. Paying for your hookah? No cash register, just his wallet full of stacks. Not worth it. It’s cheap fun for a group but honestly it’s a total hole in the wall.

This place is OK… coming from a person who does not frequent hookah bars and has little basis for comparison. This place has NO reviews right now so I figured I’d leave a bit of info for other Unilocalers looking around. I will say first of all if you’re there for a hookah — no problem! Over 100 kinds of shishah etc, so you get a large variety. The one we tried was a blend of 7 kinds and was tasty — hookah arrived quickly etc. Again no basis for comparison in Denver but seemed pricey? $ 15 for two people to smoke a hookah? we ordered a pot of tea and that was $ 5.99 no way! We griped a bit and since it was our first time in he gave it to us free, that was nice of the owner for sure. Our tea was served we asked what kinda tea it was, and our server said«I dunno, whatever he tells me to make.» Sub-par service from employees who were more focused on smoking hookahs behind the bar. Other drawbacks — they don’t serve food other then prepackaged food like chips etc. People also started smoking cigarettes right behind us — gross! Indoors? that didn’t seem right. If you live nearby and want to smoke a hookah check it out, but I doubt that I will return. Ambiance and furniture are pretty meh, and my 3 star review I feel is a bit generous for a place that’s kinda seedy!
