I am so bummed they closed! what happened??? this was a fantastic eatery downtown. too much competition i presume.

I actually never went to this place until now because I assumed it was vegetarian and didn’t serve meat… which is only partially false… I got the Warrior«Chicken» bowl. It was more like stir fry rice than a bowl with meat on top like you would get at Tokyo Joes. Probably 2 oz of chicken in it if that, and it was finely chopped and mixed in with the very al dente rice so you couldn’t tell how little was in there. After picking out all the chicken I then noticed that my bowl was about 4 cups rice and ¼ cup veggies. Not a lot of veggies for such a vegan friendly place… You also get more of these at Tokyo Joes. Not impressed. And ranch sauce on brown rice? Total Boulder-stoner invention if you ask me, kinda weird. For a protein eater I would suggest at LEAST double the protein(for a chick) and probably 3x+ for a big guy, which would end up costing a lot. For a rice bowl like this, I would rather go to Tokyo Joes where I can get enough meat in one serving and my husband only has to get double meat. Now I’m just left with an immense amount of not quite cooked rice with little dots of veggies in it for $ 7. It’s nice that pretty much everything here is gluten free or has a gluten free option(minus the oatmeal), but that doesn’t mean I just want to eat GF carbs and no meat! I wonder if their salads have more meat in them, since they can’t hide the little bits in rice and pretend there is a lot there? They also have tart fro yo with fruit toppings which I will definitely be back for since that is my fave snack. I’m giving them 1 star for my rice bowl, but I might go up if these options are better.

I had a short lunch break so I stopped in here around 12:30pm because it was pretty dead. Kind of weird for a salad place on 16th street mall. I went with the«Best Seller» Buffalo Chicken wrap so i could eat on the go. Very disappointing… minimal flavor, sweet not savory, and no tanginess that you expect from«buffalo» anything. If this is a «best seller» I’m not sure how likely I am to come back for something else.

So I tried this place for the first time. Ordered a small Lemongrass soup. Went to the register and the total was for 8 bucks. «Is this the small or the large?» I asked. «Large» they said. Whatever, I paid the 8 bucks. It was very large. In a word: inedible. bits of chewy stem-like mash and what seemed like 2 or 3 heaping tablespoons of raw garlic. Had to throw it away after a couple of spoonfuls. Might have been good as the broth could have been tasty– an abundant soup for sure. Disappointing.

Make sure you let the person know who is making your food what is supposed to be the true ingredients or you will face the same issues that I did 2 breakfast sandwich later. The sign and the eat in spot they offered gives you the feeling this will be a great food(NOT) I ordered a breakfast wrap and it was filled with spinach, goat cheese and a few other items that should taste great when you marry the ingredients but that was not my experience, when I bit into the wrap it was bland and awful so bad that I had to give it back to the staff. Luckily they cared about your wrap experience and made me another wrap, they truly made an attempt to give me my total $ 4.00 eating enjoyment but the person they had making these wraps cannot do the job and a second wrap later I took a bite and just trashed it when I’m in the area again I may just request a refund lol!!! The food was bland and over priced my first and last experience.

My choice when I need a quick lunch downtown. Foods good, quick and easy. They offer a good variety and the staff is friendly. I see people get a little confused how to order but if you just walk about to the folks and tell them what you want they will take care of it.

I was attending a conference across the street and had to run in for a quick bite. Freshii had some really neat choices for salads and I got the Antioxidant one with tons of delicious fresh veggies. I even added some kale! Everyone there was really nice and everything there was fresh and crisp. You know how sometimes those salad places have sad wilted veggies? Not here. Great place to grab a quick lunch in the area and for a good price!

Overall, the food is good. At least what I’ve ordered in the past. Fresh, flavorful, etc. On the whole, enjoyable. However, if you want good, fast service and you generally expect that your order is correct, go elsewhere. I’ve had both the customized orders and chef creations and they seem to screw it up almost every time. And make me wait forever and a day to get the food in the first place. I really wanted to give them one star, but the food really isn’t bad, just the service leaves a lot to be desired and I wish they could get it right once in a while, so I bumped it up to two. Note that this review only applies to the downtown Denver location. I’ve never had a problem with the one I used to go to in Chicago.

What I had? BBQ Chicken salad(Freshii mix, romaine, bbq chicken, avocado, sweet corn, cucumbers, diced tomatoes, jack & cheddar, ranch dressing) Food review: I had started to get sick of some of my low sodium lunch options being as limited as they are so it was nice surprise when I found more options at Freshii. It was a salad that was generally tasty too. Lots of different little flavors made this salad pretty good but maybe a little on the sweet side. Probably could have used a little more cheese to offset the sweetness of the bbq sauce and sweet corn but overall it was good. The quality would probably be my biggest complaint if I had to complain about something. It wasn’t horrible but compared to other places to get a salad quickly downtown(Green Fine, Choppers, and Mad Greens, Smiling Moose), this would probably be ranked below all 4. Service? No complaints although maybe slightly unorganized Other thoughts: Bumped this review up another star since the sodium content(if accurate on their site) is pretty low. Otherwise, I probably would have rated this salad 3 stars)

Not wanting anything heavy for dinner tonight, I decided to stop in here to grab something to take home. Having not been here before I looked the menu over and decided on the Antioxidant Crunch salad to go. Grilled chicken, sliced almonds, blueberries, celery, broccoli and spinach with an extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing. The serving size of the salad is perfect, not too big and not too small and if you’re counting calories, this salad comes in just under 300 calories with plenty of protein. This salad is my new favorite overall from anywhere. Service was quick and there menu has plenty to choose from. I will definitely come back here to try some of their other items.

Hmm. Just got back from lunch there(so I am semi-full and not hungry and rage-full). So, Freshii wasn’t my first choice. I really wanted to try the Thai Food Cart — and I remembered my experience at Freshii the last time(see below) and resisted. But when I waited for what seemed like forever on my minuscule lunch break I decided to give Freshii another try. So my previous experience there — let me tell you, was that I got overcharged basically. The food was fine — but it took two people and they STILL got it wrong. So I ended up paying a couple more bucks for lunch that day. Still a little peeved — but alas — that is why I wanted to avoid them today. Well, today, they got the whole«charging me for the right wrap» — good but not the wrap itself. So today — I walk in — its a little busy(good for them) — and I looked up at the board and ordered one of their best sellers — with extra dressing, simple right?. Inadvertently, this happened to be their special for the day. No big — but I expected it to be fresh and grilled, and delicious. So it was none of the above. I asked the woman at the register who seemed to care less — about the extra dressing — she was a bit confused — and ended up grabbing another wrap — which… wasn’t mine. I think the only thing that was right in this wrap was the chicken. Wow. There is something going on there recently that is screwing it up. Urgh. I might give you another try in the future — but not anytime soon. I started out this review giving you all 3 stars… and I decided to bump you down to 2. Sad day for lunch on the 16th street mall.

Freshii has quickly become my favorite place to get lunch when I forget or don’t have time to brown bag it. I can order AND pay online, which lets me make the most of my short 30 minute lunch break. No standing in line! I’ve made several combinations here and I’ve enjoyed them all. My favorite was my most recent creation — spinach with cucumber, tomato, red onion, artichoke hearts, avocado, kalamata olives, roasted chicken, and lemon juice. YUM!!! All the ingredients were super fresh and it’s a HUGE portion, so even though it’s a tad pricey(that salad cost me $ 10), it’s worth it! It’s also much healthier than noodles or any of the food court options downstairs(excluding Cava Greens, that is).

I work a few blocks from Freshii. It’s my favorite quick lunch spot in downtown Denver! Everything is super yummy, fresh, and healthy(with several vegetarian options as well). I really appreciate restaurants that have actual healthy food(they have nutrition facts on their website) as opposed to food that seems healthy but you realize actually isn’t when you read the nutrition facts. It’s not cheap but it is less expensive than other similar type restaurants… and you are getting really high quality food that you won’t feel guilty about eating. The portions are also huge! I can easily stretch a noodle or rice bowl over two meals. Everyone who works there is genuinely friendly and helpful and they remember you the next time you come in. I just wish they would open one in Boulder!

Bummer, my high expectations for a tasty salad were not met! I do give em three stars for the effort and concept though. The staff was friendly, the menu looked well thought out and I like their environmental policies(using little water, biodegradeable packaging). But, seriously — how to you f up a salad?! I chose some tasty veggies, but the salad came out gross! The chicken ‘teryaki’ had no flavor, the mushrooms were old, and the artichoke hearts had a funny taste. It was a very big gross salad — not sure if that is a good or bad thing. It made me feel bad tossing it and wasting food, but it was not about to be eatin by me that is for sure. There is limited seating and it took a while to get my order. I had to go elsewhere to get food on my lunch break — swing and a miss!

I must be the only one here… I think this place blows. Healthy does not mean tasteless, drab, boring. I’ve tried a variety of things, and all of them are exactly that. The soup was like water with barely cooked veggies. The wraps are so bland I practically choked one down. The salads, are um, ok. I wish someone would introduce the world of spices to this place. I actually had a chance to have a free lunch from them today and passed it up. That’s really bad for me.

Freshii is my healthy downtown option, and it’s tasty too! I love that all of their menu items are customizable! If they are not sure what you are asking for the staff is happy to consult with you so they can get it right. :) The menu is great, and has something to fit almost any taste, and offer a frequent buyer punch card! The price is a bit more than you will pay at fast food places, but it totally worth it! I am able to make most of their wraps last 2 lunches, or a lunch and a working dinner. :) The staff is friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have, and are happy to make suggestions if you ask for them. They also know the menu well, and can give an honest opinion when you ask for it. Their snack selection is also really good, and healthy. The are in my top 5 lunch spots!

Freshii is a fabulous little place downtown to go whenever you have no idea what to get for lunch but want to try to be healthy. Walk in, grab a paper, and check off all that you want in your salad. I was a bit disappointed in the buffalo chicken salad as it came, but when I went back again I created my own salad it was great! Their diet dressing was not very tasty so I think next time I will just get some regular dressing on the side and use sparingly. Great, healthy, customizable lunch spot.

Freshii is one of my new favorite lunch options in downtown Denver. For one reason, there is a great variety of options on the menu and they are all delicious. Secondly, the menu is healthy, but satisfying. Third, you have the option of customizing the pre-populated menu combinations with whatever suits your tastes. I would recommend starting with one of their combinations and then altering it to your liking, as I think this produces a better outcome than starting completely from scratch, but if you’re feeling adventurous, don’t let that advice stop you. My favorite Freshii menu items are the Spicy Lemongrass Soup(ahhh-mazing, I crave this soup at least once per week!), the Grilled Vegetable Wrap(I also add grilled chicken for some additional protein), and the Santa Fe Wrap. Also, if you’re super into the nutritional content of your food, you can go to the website and select the exact combination of ingredients in your Freshii meal to see the nutrition facts. The only drawback is a relatively cramped waiting area and indoor seating options. They do have a great outdoor patio seating area with great people watching on the 16th street mall. One more perk– they have a punch card for frequent Freshii customers! After you buy 10 Freshii meals, the 11th meal is on the house. And let me tell you, there’s a reason why I have 8 stamps on my Freshii card.

This location just opened… so i will cut the service a little slack. It is a learning process… what you can always depend on from the staff is a big smile, recognition that you are in the store, quick service, and healthy choice! Freshii has been giving me weird yogurt cravings! I bike ride down to 16th Street + Court just to have some of that fresh frozen yogurt with fresh fruits. I will also recommend the breakfast wrap — the bacon, egg and cheese! It is a great way to start your day… with a warm triangle-shaped wrap of total awesomeness. If you are looking for a salad, you can always design one to your liking or go with an already prepared one… like the ASIAN chicken salad! carrots, peas, spring mix, a good amount of chicken, wontons, and corn with a sesame dressing. This place is one of the best choices 16th street has for quick, healthy, delicious food.
