We happened upon the Five Points Jazz Festival when we were just trying to hit a local brewery, and we couldn’t have been luckier — this festival is amazing! There were several stages featuring all types of jazz, and the music was really top-notch. In addition to the music, there were lots of merchandise vendors, food vendors, drinks, you name it. The food selection was incredible. You could get anything, from fried catfish to Cuban specialties, snacks, dessert and more. They had fair food, food trucks, restaurants, and even several guys just manning their BBQ smokers serving up some delicious BBQ. It was like being transported from Denver to New Orleans for the afternoon, and it was so much fun! We may have accidentally happened upon the Five Points Jazz Festival this festival this year, but we’ll be marking our calendars to attend every year going forward.

Jazz on a beautiful day! What’s better than a free festival full of fantastic music & wonderful people. I love this fest. It brings together a diverse crowd of people all for the love of great music outdoors. The Youth stage was awesome — area high schoolers coming together as a heritage ensemble. If you missed out ensure you get it on the calendar for next year.

A definite must do for a free weekend activity. There is quite a lot of music going on at the main stage, the square, and cervantes. If you like Jazz at all or just want something to do, you could certainly do worse than the Jazz Festival. Five Points is a really unappreciated and overall cool place to be. The only downside is the food vendors… there aren’t very many, and the prices are pretty ridiculous. Eat before you come and bring some bottled water would be my best recommendations.

I was really impressed by how well-organized the festival is. The music is great, lots of varieties. But food is not so much. Will go again.

I like jazz a lot and so during my vist to Denver found the annual festival at Five Points and decided to drag my boyfriend along. The weather was nice and so we walked from LoDo to the festival. It was crowded with tons of people, a few stands with hot dogs, sausages, turkey legs, beverages, some yard sales, and a lot of fun live music sets. Really enjoyed the jazz(especially the slower numbers). My boyfriend liked the salsa music. All in all, we had a great time and I would definitely recommend it as a event to stop by if in the area. It’s free and fun and gives you a reason to be outdoors!

One of Denver’s best free events in the city, takes place in the historic Five Points District. A day of great jazz music on a couple of stages. The awesome smell of grilled turkey legs and other food is everywhere. There is something for everybody in the marketplace as well. If you want to get a great start on music and festivals going on over the summer, this is the place to start.
