Darrell Elliott and his law firm attorneys should die and rot in hell. You’d be better off representing yourself. I should know first hand, because I’m a former client. Since I didn’t know CO work comp law, I figured I’d go with a specialist. Elliott is only interested in taking bread and butter cases that give him a garunteed 20% cut of anything awarded to you. He lost an appeal of my disability rating even though the ortho surgeon said I’d be 30% or higher after the surgery and that I was already 25% disabled pre surgery. The insurance dr. rated me out at 24% which put me under the insurance cap on awards. A third independent ortho dr. evaluated me at 30% but ‘couldn’t explain’ the difference in the two ratings. But, I still had to pay for the evaluation. CO work comp is a rigged game and Elliott is one of the bottom feeders in it.
