I recently ordered petite apples as favors at my wedding. Although my wedding was a few days beyond the shipping dates for their spring season, their customer service rep promptly replied to my inquiry, and they were able to accommodate me because the apples were not shipping very far. This was perfect since my heart was set on these, and Daffy Apple seems to be the only vendor anywhere who offers caramel apple favors a very reasonable price. The apples were fresh, crisp, and lasted for quite a while after the wedding too(in the fridge). I enjoyed eating the leftovers! :) They shipped and arrived on time and exactly as planned. You do have to re-wrap them — I used bags, ribbon for a simple bow, and attached the place cards to each apple. This took about 3 – 4 hours for 126 apples.(With three people.) Not bad at all.

I ordered caramel apples for favors for my wedding in 8 days. I had delivery scheduled to arrive on Monday. Today, 4 days before they are scheduled to arrive I receive a call from Daffy Apples saying they can’t ship the apples because they will«freeze» due to the weather and when they thaw out the apples will be watery and not good quality. The only way they would ship it was if I signed a waiver. The company is lacking costumer service skills and will not even consider insulated boxes, overnight shipping or any of the other suggestions I had given. Her only solution was either to receive bad apples or to cancel the order. I canceled the order and am now scrambling 8 days prior to find wedding favors. This company is unreliable and I do not recommend ordering from them. I’m sure they would say the apples will«melt» during shipment in the warmer months as well.

Ok so Daffy Apple may not be gourmet carmel apples that you can get at some candy stores. On the flip side however I always look forward to getting the red carmel Daffy Apples every Fall and try to eat as many as I can before they go out of season. As I have said before they are not like some gourmet candy shops where their apples are dipped in Tiger Butter but every year I enjoy getting carmel apples from Daffy Apple no matter what I have gotten earlier in the year as far as carmel apples go’ which is not usually much to begin with there. So buy some! They are in season now as I speak and easy to buy since they are at most grocery stores!
