Dr. Susan Moison is a wonderful doctor. It’s so disappointing that it takes 5 months to get in.

AVOID at all costs! The MD’s may be fantastic (never got to see one). My wife called to make an appointment. They took her insurance over the phone and said everything was fine. She waited three weeks for her appointment, got there then was refused to be seen because they didn’t take our insurance. The kicker is that the DR we wanted to see did take our insurance. Heard horrible things online about guggenheim or whatever her name is and can report that Susan Moison can join the thumbs down category. Like I said the DR may be fantastic but I would know because the office staff is horribly disorganized leaving a soon to be mother to leave in tears. Do yourself a favor and see anyone (ANYONE) associated with the university of colorado birthing center. Much better customer service.

This office is the best! I went to Dr. Guggenheim because my previous provider was making me very uncomfortable with suggestions for procedures that I did not feel I needed. Dr. Guggenheim was very thorough and it turns out that I, in fact, do not need surgery. That was over a year ago and I am healthy, happy, and a huge fan of this practice. I moved a lot farther away but would not entertain the thought of ever going anywhere else.

I have been going to this office since 1974. (Yep, I was 5 yrs old! Just kidding!) I originally went to Tibor (Ted) Engel and he delivered both of our sons — 1979 and 1984 — and I felt like I received the best of care. Even back in those days, the office staff was helpful, cheerful, and polite. The same is true now, brand new location, some new employees, but many have come from the original location at Rose Medical Building (not sure of exact name — it’s been awhile). I have seen Cynthia Mueller several times, and our visits have been pleasant even though it’s not the friendliest situation to experience! She was great. She even seemed to enjoy my anecdotes (zzzzz, sounds of snoring) from several of my volunteer experiences. Also with a very informative and low-​key approach, Cynthia was a good person to go to for this medical (nothing most ladies look forward to) procedure. I recommend this office for gynecological and obstetrical procedures. I’ll come back.

I love this gynie office. I’ve been a patient for years and am just now getting around to a review. My doctor is Cynthia Muller and she is the BEST! I’ve already given her card to several of my female friends and I really recommend her. I’ve had other gynecologists in that past (at different practices) who were judgmental, pushy/​preachy and/​or some horrible combination of those attributes. I am so pumped that Cynthia is none of those things. She is nice, friendly, easy to talk to and seems like an all-​around normal person. I just had my annual last week and everything was great.
As far as logistics (billing, facilities, scheduling, parking), I’ve encountered no problems/​nothing negative to date (and I think I’ve been a patient since ²⁰¹¹⁄₂₀₁₂?). They have online scheduling, which is perfect for me because it always seems that I get around to scheduling appts after hours. Their parking is close and plentiful (on street and no meters), I’ve had no negative billing issues and their offices are spacious and clean. They also have a keurig/​beverage station in the waiting room, which is a nice touch.
If you’re looking for a new gynie office, I’d highly recommend this one.

After doing the full monty w/​Dr Guggenheim, I will be looking elsewhere for a provider. This was hostile.

I’ve been going here for about 4 years (found them after an emergency GYN surgery) and love them! Drs Moison and Heights are great. They don’t make you feel rushed and they will spend time with you. And they really LISTEN instead of being patronizing. The rest of the staff is great as well. I’d refer anyone here.

I have been seeing Dr. Moison for over 20 years. She’s terrific! Interested, approachable, open to questions, helpful. I have also been seen by a couple other practitioners and NPs at the practice and they’ve always been great.
In the past, I did have a problem with getting a return phone call, but that issue seems to be a thing of the past as I did not have that problem the last time I called. The current front desk ladies are also an improvement over the 2013 set — attentive, helpful, and not engaged in their own conversations to the detriment of the patients.
AND, much to my surprise as I was told I’d hear about my test results by mail if everything was normal, but Dr. Moison would call personally if they weren’t, today I received a phone call from her nurse practitioner telling me all my tests were normal/​negative — a mere two days after my well woman exam.
I had to go to another gyn for a couple of years due to insurance issues, but came back to Dr. Moison as soon as I could as I was having an issue and the other doctor passed it off as ‘normal and due to my age’ when it wasn’t either as it turned out. Sure, there is usually a wait, but I’m willing to wait to work with a doctor who is a genuine human being and friend that takes all the time you need for an appointment to make sure you are comfortable and informed!

Pleasant and helpful staff. I’m pleased with the quality of heath care provided for myself and baby.
Appointments easily accommodate your schedule, reschedule and booking can be done last minute essentially. Always more dots a sizable by far if you call in as opposed to book online, though.
Runs efficiently, and appointments are rarely behind, and not very late if off schedule.

I switched insurance providers and needed a new gynecologist and found this practice through their online scheduling page. It seemed easy and friendly at first, booking online, but as a new patient, I had to wait almost three months to get into see a doctor. Fortunately, my partner and I wanted my birth control to expire so we could start trying to conceive. In our eventual appointment we talked about fertility with our doctor but really I booked the appointment so as to have a new gynecologist. However the way it was coded/​billed was not as routine and our insurance would not cover it. So instead of a $ 60 copay, we were charged $ 300+ just for the appointment that told us nothing. At the same appointment we also had some lab work done. I was unaware that the lab work would be done by an out-​of-​network provider and that uncovered by our insurance would cost us closer to $ 4,000! Not to mention we didn’t get the bills for this lab work until after 90 days of the original appointment and I still have no idea what the results are of this supposedly necessary blood work. In short, this office has poor transparency and communication when it comes to the best interest/​needs of their patients. I’m shocked that a ‘consult’ is going to cost us over $ 4K and they didn’t even do any procedures. Thank goodness we’re not pregnant, though even when eventually do, I’m sure as not going to go back here ever again.

I had lots of experience with Consultants in ObGyn last year when I was pregnant and gave birth to my daughter. Though it began ok, I wasn’t satisfied by the time it was all over. Initially, I thought the doctors, specifically Dr. Guggenheim, seemed knowledgeable, albeit a little less than friendly. As the pregnancy progressed, I met everyone in the office. For the most part, I liked everyone (especially the ultrasound tech!), although I had concerns over the efficiency of the office when they lost blood work of mine.
Near the end of the pregnancy, once we decided to deliver at Rose (the reason I picked them to start with), Dr. Guggenheim started getting pushy that I plan to deliver at PSL, which is right next door to the office. The final weekend of my pregnancy, Dr. Guggenheim stated that she was on-​call at PSL all weekend and wanted to schedule an induction for me. Although I get that she’s busy and would like to have all her patients deliver next door on her schedule, I didn’t appreciate at all feeling like she was pushing me to do something that I didn’t want to do. I resisted the induction and went into labor naturally early Monday morning. That morning at my appointment, I told her and the nurses that I thought my contractions were fairly close. After two hours of monitoring, they finally checked my cervix and found I was 5 cm dilated and had me rush to the hospital.
Since it was no longer the weekend, Dr. Guggenheim was no longer on call, Dr. Stephanie Owens was. She did a really great job of helping me through labor, delivering our daughter and caring for me after. I chose to continue seeing her for my follow-​up appointments and a related surgery I then needed to have. Unfortunately, Dr. Owens is no longer with the practice.
My understanding is the practice has since merged with another, so I can’t speak to the new dynamic as a whole. However, I was less-​than-​impressed with Dr. Guggenheim, the nurses and the staff who somehow lost my blood work. If you’re looking for a caring environment where you don’t ever feel pressured to go against your birth plan, I would advise you to look elsewhere for a provider.

First off, I want to say that I really like Dr. Jennifer Guggenheim. If she had a private practice I would happily go. The one star is for everyone else I have dealt with.
It all started when I had trouble conceiving. Up to that point, I had been happy with the practice. I had numerous tests done to check and make sure there weren’t any problems. I was called and told my blood work was all ‘good’. No one explained what ‘good’ meant. I was then waiting on the results of X-​rays. A tech called me and told me everything was fine. I had nothing to worry about. She had the results in front of her. I was relieved. About 30 minutes later my doctor called to tell me that was not the case. The tech had made a mistake and the opposite was true. The results were very bad. As you can imagine I was pretty devastated. I went from joy to tears.
I wish that had been the end of my troubles but it wasn’t. I now had to find an endocrinologist. I did. One that I am very happy with. I called to ask for a form for a transfer of my records. The receptionist was beyond rude. I felt like I was being treated as a traitor. As soon as I explained the reason, she lightened up and was friendly. I turned in the form at the end of February. It took until the END of May before my records were transferred. On top of that they were incomplete. I spoke with my endo doctor LAST WEEK and she was STILL missing a test and now they were telling her it had never been done. So I called. It had been done and I made sure they faxed it over. The tech then told me that she could tell me the number from my test but had no idea what it meant. Are you serious? Luckily my endo doctor’s nurse is competent and called to go over it with me.
I have been so disappointed and let down by the staff here. I am already dealing with an emotional and stressful situation. Do I really need to add their incompetency and hostility to the mix? Needless to say, I am switching doctors because of my terrible experiences with the staff.

I had a great visit with Cynthia Mueller, her bed side manner was absolutely awesome! I felt immediately comfortable and would recommend her to all of my friends & family!

Such an easy person to talk to and to get a hold of when I have questions.
Now that I’m pregnant with my first, she’s even more amazing.
I would recommend her to anyone for anything!

This office is just great. From the moment you walk in the door you are acknowledged by the front desk staff who are kind and really courteous.
Dr. Williams is of course fabulous. She is warm, professional and kind. Her exams are thorough and I never feel rushed. All the staff are just very patient oriented. Being an RN makes me very aware of what good care is. This is excellent care with staff who are warm, kind and funny. Wish every practice could follow their example.

I used this practice for my third pregnancy and was completely happy.
I was not satisfied with my previous ob/​gyn practice, and went in search for a new one when I became pregnant with #3. Specifically, first I called the labor and delivery ward at several hospitals to find out which had the lowest cost estimate for uncomplicated labor and delivery. (My health insurance does not pay 100% of everything.) Presbyterian/​St Luke’s had the lowest estimate. Then I called PSL’s labor and delivery ward and asked the nurse who answered the phone which doctor she would recommend for someone who wants a non-​medicated birth — that is, no scheduled induction, no epidural, no nothing. The only doctor the nurse could recommend was Susan Moison. The nurse did not have a suggestion for runner up; it was Dr Moison or no one. So I went to Dr Moison. (Midwives would have been another good option, as the nurse pointed out, but I decided to go with MD.)
Everything turned out as hoped for — no scheduled induction even though baby was (i) breech until very late and also (ii) was born a week past due date — both which happened during my last pregnancy and both caused my previous obs to schedule inductions (which I managed to get out of by being assertive, and it was my second pregnancy so I was able to be more assertive) — I think most obs would have scheduled inductions.
I have no plans to get pregnant again, but if I did, I would return to Dr Moison, and would also recommend her to other women.
Since it is so difficult to find a doctor who fits this criteria, I did not give a hoot about whether the receptionists were polite or not. However, I found them to be fine.

What could have been an uncomfortable visit, turned out to be a walk in the park or, ahh… bush. Cynthia Mueller has a fantastic bedside manner and was very informative about all medications and procedures. The office is very clean and nice. The service from the front desk was just fine and they had plenty of good magazines to choose from in the waiting room. I did have to wait a good 20 minutes after my appointment time to be seen, but I understand it’s a doctor office after all, the unexpected does occur. I would recommend a visit with Cynthia if you are looking for a new lady parts caretaker.

Dr Mahoney moved to a new location, go see her… not her old practice. I Unilocaled her updated location so look for it

I won’t go back. EVER. Such awful service, perhaps someone needs to remind them they are in healthcare and the services they are supposed to provide really effect and matter to people.
I got called and left a message by some person stating they are ‘reminding me of my appt.” so I show up on said message specified date /​time and the lady at the front desk looks at me (and speaks to me) like I’m a moron. I told her someone called me and left me a reminder. Glad I could play her my vm so she could shove that smug look back where it belonged. This was the second experience I had here.
If I have to call them twice in one day, then I have some serious concerns, but they won’t even call you back! Screw this place. Days later, still haven’t heard from anyone. Its not like this is the pizza place and I can’t place an order, its my health (and for some people their babies health I would imagine since is is Consultants in OBSTETRICS), days later STILL NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK. RIDICULOUS AND CARELESS in my opinion. Why would I trust you to manage my health when you can’t even manage to return multiple phone calls!!! Oh, that’s because I won’t. See ya! This was the fourth interaction I had with this office.
I actually really liked the midwifes but if I can’t trust a simple call back, or for someone at the front desk to be friendly when they mess up, its not someplace I believe should have my trust or my business. I get its a doctors office but I feel sometimes they forget, this is a business and they should really treat it as such and concentrate on calling people back, or making sure their staff is rude. No reason to trust at this point and certainly not a reason to give you money when your are not dependable!
BTW-​Dr. Mahoney started her own practice some time ago, so you can see her elsewhere, perhaps her office is a bit more organized and competent.

I feel kind of odd reviewing an OBGYN but I figure lady Unilocalers like myself may find this information helpful. So here goes:
I sought out Dr. Mahoney a few years back for annual exams, also keeping in mind future family plans. Personally I think she is a gem but after my last appointment I am starting to wonder if this office is a good fit for me :(

— - FRONT. DESK. STAFF.: they are rude, unhelpful, unfriendly, uncommunicative.
These ladies never pause their personal conversations to turn to greet patients. I’ve taken note since my first visit a few years back. I don’t know if they need my insurance information or if I have a co-​pay. I’ve watched many woman hesitantly approach the front to ask these ?‘s as well.
— - WAIT TIME: At my last visit a few weeks back I waited for 20+ minutes in the waiting room. Then I was brought to the Dr. s office were I waited an ADDITIONAL 20m.
Note: I was called by the front desk prior to the appt and was asked how long I need with the Dr. and we agreed 15m would suffice — including wait time I was there an hour and a half. Completely unexceptable in my book.
I’ve gone back and forth on whether I should continue here or not. Because I really enjoy Dr. Mahoney. I’ve decided I will attempt ONE more visit and take it upon myself to politely address the front desk staff with the Dr. herself to see if maybe she can help turn things around so folks can continue seeing her.
