went last night, arrived at 730. had to ask three times for a table inside, host staff offered the bar. we said no thanks, they then offered to take a to go order and we again declined. finally someone with a brain intervened and helped us drop some dollars! wait staff, Jocelyn was excellent but the bus boys kept trying to take away plates that still had food on them… food was great. note: there were multiple tables open.

Meh. Alright tacos, about $ 6 – 12 per each taco which makes it a terrible value for average tacos. Pork one is not great, chicken griddle was our favorite. Shrimp one seems to have instant or average quality grits on it. Watermelon margarita is tasty, they will make it not spicy if you want.

Best place for a happy hour with light bites with friends! The watermelon jalapeño margarita is probably one of my all time favorite margs ever. The pineapple habanero is delicious too! Great happy hour prices for guac, chips, stuffed jalapeños, and more. The dinner menu is good too, a good amount of variety and flavor. Love it!

After we were done drinking our beers at the Crooked Stave, we walked over to eat some tacos for dinner. These were probably the best $ 4 tacos that you’ll ever have in the Denver area. They served on soft corn tortillas. They give you a menu and an order sheet. Just write down how many of each item that you want. Here’s what I had: *High West Rendezvous Rye Whiskey* Not too bad. However it was burning and stinging the heck out of my chapped lips. *Stella’s Pork Carnitas* Slow cooked pork shoulder in Stella Artois over smoked gouda sweet potato mash with pineapple habañero salsa. This was a very flavorful carnitas. Good stuff! *Camerones a la Diabla* Spicy shrimp over jalapeño grits with pico de gallo, avocado, lime, house crema and cotija. I love shrimp tacos, but I wasn’t a fan of the crema and cotija cheese. Simple, fast, and delicious! Great place to get some quick bites in a relaxed atmosphere.

First taste of Comida was at Denver’s Top Taco Festival in 2014. SOOOOO good. Hubby and I decided to go to Comida and were not disappointed. It’s a bit pricey, but delicious.

Good for drinks and a few tacos. Price point was reasonable for the hipster environment. Attractive looking margaritas, but not very strong. Extra star for the awesome service here!

I used to love and I mean LOVE Comida, but the last time I was there was… terrible. I give it two stars because the service was okay and the chips were also just okay. We started with a round of salsas and guacamole and while we should have followed the cardinal rule of Mexican food: one must always judge by the salsa; but we didn’t. And it seriously sucked. The shrimp taco tasted like the bottom of a trolling net slathered with a little off-brand mayo and the grilled steak… Just no. I can’t think about it anymore. Adiós, Comida. I loved you once. What a bummer.

We were told 30 min wait for 2 after a problem in the kitchen. I get it. Stuff happens, I’ve worked in the industry. «If the reservations aren’t here by 730(an hour after we were told 30 min) we can seat you»: hostess #1. 20 min later hostess #2: «she probably shouldn’t have told you that. It is still going to be an hour.» With at least five open 2 tops. And other tables set aside for big reservations. Sigh.

Ya know, I really wanted to LOVE this place. I had heard about the sauce and I love Mexican anything. We got there before 5 so it was empty. We got seated right away and our server came over and brought water. He gave us good suggestions and gave us the card to fill out but we wanted mexi mess and that’s the only thing not on the card. The story about comida starting from a food truck then having a restaurant space is pretty cool. Service: He was not attentive, didn’t know what a lot of the dishes tasted like, and forgot to bring our drinks completely even after two reminders. Food: underwhelming. I walked away sad. I was full but I wasn’t raving about the flavor. Maybe try the tacos. Mexi mess was meh

Came here for brunch with my wife after visiting the Source on multiple occasions. I ordered the Comida Benedict and wife got the Fried Chicken Option. There were 3 other tables at the time, so there really wasn’t a reason for our food to have been served lukewarm. When I ordered, the server asked if a medium poached egg was fine, and I said yes, but when I cut into the egg, it was so undercooked that it completely collapsed into a runny mess of raw egg whites and yolk. The menu stated the Benedict came with avocado, but only one of my Benedicts had a trace of avocado on it. The chorizo hollandaise and pork jowl had a good flavor, but the underdone egg kind of ruined the dish. It was definitely not worth $ 16. Wife liked the fried chicken and it had a good crisp, but the mashed potatoes were cold and the collard greens were so watery that they soaked everything else on the plate and made it soggy. Again, good flavors but the execution needs improvement. Will likely return to try the tacos, but there are much better places in Denver for brunch.

Went to Comida for the first time today for brunch and the food was delicious. I love the atmosphere at The Source. I had the Huevos Rancheros, which was beautifully plated. A crisp corn tortilla at the base of the dish, hugged with a layer of black beans and roasted poblano peppers topped with queso fresca, two perfectly cooked eggs awith a harmonious spicy red sauce. Perfecto!

AWESOMETACOS I have a severe taco addiction and after going to Comida, my love was reaffirmed. Conveniently located in The Source, next to other awesome shops and restaurants, Comida has a hipster, modern vibe that boasts great food at a fairly low price. We started with the house made pomegranate lemonade and the house made limeade. Both were very refreshing and served in adorable mason jars. As for tacos, the fish and the skirt steak were at the top of the list. Each one was a bold fusion of flavors, and each bite was delicious. My boyfriend loved the special of the day; the pork belly which was served with a pineapple salsa. Will definitely be back for more!

Came to the source looking for beer and food. I found both. We decided on Comida for the food portion of our trip and was not disappointed. The environment is fitting for being in the Source. Laid back/yuppie/fun is the overall vibe. I don’t mean any of those adjectives to be negative. We started with the chorizo nachos. They were delicious. The perfect balance of goodness. The chips seemed unique to me in the fact that here were thicker/crunchier then most. We had an assortment of tacos. My favorite was the fish taco but each one was flavorful. I also had the watermelon jalapeño margarita. If you like watermelon and can handle a little spice I highly recommend it. If you are near by, stop and get some nice taco treats!

This taco restaurant is located inside The Source in the RiNo area. Went there for lunch with my husband and son. The food was absolutely amazing. Ordered a little bit to start, then ordered more because it was so good. Even the 3 year old like it. It is not a very cheap place to eat though, so expect to spend a little bit of money. I think it’s well worth it though.

Went to this place for dinner with the wife for new years eve. The food was fantastic. The queso, man I don’t know what was in it but it was amazingly smoky with hints of bacon. liquid crack I tell ya. I had two of the griddle tacos, bacon jalapeño. Perhaps some of the most yummy tacos I have ever had. I also had one of the camarones a la diabla tacos. Which was good, but I would have liked it MUCH spicier. I mean come on, it has the name of the devil in it! Service was great. I had just had some severe dental work, so my chiclets were hurting. So they brought me soft corn tortillas to dip into the queso. I thought I had gone to heaven. We will be back!

Warning: I’m a bit of a tacoholic. My husband calls me a taco snob and I did once fly to Cali mainly to eat a poke burrito… We stopped by The Source really to get a baguette… sold out of course… but decided to check out Comida for a quick bite. Our server was very nice and attentive, and helped to explain the sushi-ordering style. We ordered quest fundido to start. I’ll be honest, I love an Ooey gooey cheese dip. This one was miggggghty tasty… but it was more queso-esque than other fundidos I’ve enjoyed(Tamayo shout out – theirs is amazing). We then move on to tacos – ordered four, I’ll rate them for ya: –1– griddled taco, pork: as my husband pointed out. basically a corn tortilla quesadilla. But easily the best thing we ate. That crema was delish. –2– steak. Really quite tasty –3– shrimp. I love the idea of grits on a taco, not sure why. –4– fish. Oddly the one I wanted the most turned out to be my least favorite. It was ‘ok’, but maybe not as fresh tasting – cilantro might have helped? The atmosphere is oh so hip and trendy, and I’d certainly go back to get more griddled tacos and try some drinks – many looked really inticing.

Renovating the inside of an old warehouse, I’m immediately in! The Source in itself is cool, and Comida is a great addition inside. When you walk in you are greeted by the openness of Comida. It almost seems like a rustic cafeteria style, lots of tables and then a bar. The bartenders, Teddy and Loren were awesome. Very attentive. Drinks were phenomenal! I love that they serve them in cute little mason jars. I tried the Smokey Sombra Margarita 8 ~ Sombra Mezcal, agave, lime using fresh squeezed lime juice! A la carte tacos, w/guacamole, and thick tortilla chips made me one happy Kat! Super cheap and perfect before going out because it doesn’t leave you feeling so stuffed you want to nap. I am a believer that condiments are everything and Comida definitely delivered. I love the whole concept of this place and can understand how it grew from being a food truck to a restaurant. I can’t wait to come back here next time I’m in Denver.

Bomb diggity tacos! Want flavor? Freshness? Friendly servers? Chic location? This place has that and a bag of chips. Seriously though… We ordered 3 grilled tacos — jalapeño bacon, pork, chicken. Then two soft shell: the situation which is probably the best taco of 2015 for me! And a carnitas. Yum yum yum. If you are into tacos as much as I am — check this place out.

If you go to The Source on a weekend day, your only option to eat is Comida. On Sunday they only have their brunch menu. Lots to choose from. I had the shrimp and grits. It was decent at best. The drinks were tasty but kind of small. The service was not so good. Our server had trouble getting our salsa order right and was a bit irritated about it. The manager was very nice and friendly. I thought it was a bit funny to see one of the employees drinking a beer on the line. A bit too layed back I think. All in all, food is decent, service not so much.
