This became one of my go-to spots for a beer and burger in Denver when I didn’t have internet for 3 months. They have free wifi, which came in handy for me! The servers are always quick to take my order, even when they are super busy, and accommodating to specific channel requests. The food is classic bar food done right and they have a decent draft beer selection which some sports bars seriously lack. I also love the fire ring they have on the patio. Just be careful, they sometimes have karaōke night or song bingo night during the week and the crowd gets pretty loud!

Cool place to watch sports. Gets pretty poppin in here on a Football Sunday. The service is good and the waitresses are friendly. Sometimes during football service can lack at places but we had several people come check on us to make sure we were doing ok. That is nice. Good wing sauce I think it was Boulder Gold. That’s all we’ve tried here. The only thing I would suggest is maybe rotate your taps a little bit? People(myself) love a place that has rotating taps cuz it adds the excitement of wondering«what will they have on tap today??» I already know I’ll be going for Titan IPA or Upslope Pale, neither of which are exceptional beers in my book!!! I’m just whining I know but I want more IPA Selection lol. All in all I will keep coming here for a beer here and there

Two stars for great tv’s. I have been coming here for many years and have loved this place, but the changes in service staff have killed it. Our experience this Sunday for the Broncos game was terrible. Food was cold, waitress was colder and she didn’t seem to care that we were at the table. No offer to help with cold meals and was just rude. Towards the end of the night a table next to us had an issue with how many drinks were on their tab, we looked at ours and had 3 extra drinks added in. We didn’t complain, but the cold food, terrible service and lack of crowd, compared to how it used to be on Sunday, told us this would be our last visit to college inn.

The food isn’t good, the bartender is rude and talked back to me when I didn’t even address him(once again another person in Denver that gives the service industry a bad name), and the other person behind the bar stared at me when I asked him for help and then proceeded to completely ignore when I asked for something as simple as blue cheese dressing. For the record, both ppl in my party were/are service industry employees(myself for 15 yrs) and that is probably the only reason the rude bartender received any kind of gratuity. Real sad. The guy could make so much more money and the place would get much better reviews if the attitude of the bartenders were positively adjusted(apparently I’m not the only person writing a bad review about this guy).

I say good things when the place is good and natural bad for a place like this. Too much décor, this place looks awful because of that. Chili mac is supposed to be chili, but the one I had was totally salty. Smoked wings was also too small. I do love the taste of the smoked wings but the portion is not okay.

Surprisingly this is an awesome place to study on a sunday afternoon with large tables, beer specials and free wifi! I had a really delicious patty melt with a yummy side salad, and great ranch dressing(they must make it there)! I spent about 6 hours here and no one was bothered by me hogging a big booth with all of my gear the whole time!

What a cool neighborhood bar! It really is the essence of a dive bar except it is very clean, has great service, and good food. I can’t wait to come back during football season.

They have done a great job of sprucing this place up, which has been a favorite of mine over the years regardless. The service used to be pretty good here but more recently it’s not. It’s not good service if a customer has to work to flag down a bartender to get any & all service, who gives the impression she is only conscious of or interested in the men at the bar, rarely looks up to make a sweep of her patrons needs, when this places has its normal steady business that isn’t packed and not where you can’t follow up with customers in a reasonable amount of time. I waited a good bit hoping she would come back to give me a menu, which I should have been asked if I wanted in the first place, to have to flag her down to get a menu & again to get my food ordered, was never asked how my food was, if I needed anything else, and b/c of that, I ended up finding my own silverware which I was never asked if I needed & should have been brought out in the first place. Hardly an ounce of friendliness here. It’s happened a few times and even the men in our group noted it was the same female bartender they’ve had issue with service before as well. Major disappointment that this is becoming the norm. Borderline not worth coming back ever, but this review gets one extra star out of courtesy for legacy of good service; I will not keep coming around if particular people are working or if her behaviors carry over to others. This is how you lose loyal customers. Food Note– Don’t order the«chicken pieces.» You’d get better at a high school concession stand, and again this makes me question what’s going on with this place.

Finally after almost a decade of living close to this I finally tried it. The service is fine and the classic hamburger was tastey. This is a nice hang out spot for the neighborhood. I like the fact they had a special on beer. Otherwise I think i’m going to be back. I’m definitely going to try other things on the menu.

I love this place. This is my go to spot now ever since I moved into the neighborhood. The staff is always very nice and after a couple of years, I don’t wait for a drink ever. This is not a «dive» as it has been referenced to in previous posts(see Ram Lounge for that). It’s a good neighborhood bar staffed by real people who are friendly and funny if you let them. The food is way above average. Wings are awesome and the burgers are on point every time. It was a nice reprieve from when I moved from downtown and abandoned 95% of LoDo bars.

This little dive bar is a hidden gem for some really good food. The wings are excellent, especially the smoked wings. The salads are huge, very fresh and delicious. The burgers taste like fresh made patties. The Mexican food is even good. The chile relleno is crispy, delicious and bursting with cheese. Don’t forget the delish nachos. There are also an array of great sandwiches that aren’t to be missed.

I’m not a huge fan of this place. It’s the only bar in short walking distance from my place, so my friends and I would meet for football games. Sometimes it can be really difficult to track down a server and they seem bothered that you’re requesting something.

A-OK. It’s a dive bar, with good eats and good people. They won’t treat you like royalty here, but are nice enough. Good for single meal/beer at the bar, tables for groups and a game room with pool and games. Juke box as well. Cheap drinks and no complaints!

ANDTHENREADME! I’ve been coming to the College Inn for about a year now and it has become my go-to neighborhood watering hole. Plenty of good things to be said — the food is good and well-priced, and the menu is big enough that you can come back several times and always find something new to try. The smoked wings are especially good, and honestly I haven’t found anything on the menu that I didn’t like. All in all, there is plenty to do and the place is generally filled with people who live in walking distance so you get to meet a lot of your neighbors. There’s always something going on here. Plenty of TV’s to watch football on the weekends and Monday. They have enough TV’s to make sure you can find every football game on at least one. They also have trivia on Tuesday, Rock ‘N Roll Bingo on Wednesday, and live music on Thursday. They’ve also got two pool tables, darts, pinball, Buck Hunter, and Golden Tee. If all of that’s not enough to keep you entertained, there’s always the possibility that the people watching alone can fill your time — like the night when Erin, who wrote a review below about her«physically aggressive» bartender, came in! I was there that night and watched everything that happened and feel the need to respond. When Erin talks about the«rules that he was enforcing», she means that she was told that her dog couldn’t be on the patio so she took the dog to other side of the railing. Unfortunately she also brought her drink with her, and when she was told she couldn’t have alcohol on that side of the railing she became combative. When she talks about«physically ripping something out of a woman’s hands», she means that the bartender had to physically take her drink away from her because she wouldn’t return to the patio. And when she talks about«following up with our fine law enforcement», she neglects to mention that they had to call the police just to get her to leave — so she actually has already followed up with them, in a way. While Erin’s review may be good for a chuckle to anyone who comes here often, or to those of us who witnessed all of this(or to those who aren’t so pretentious as to think we are above«patroniz[ing] a place with a name like ‘College Inn’»), it shouldn’t be taken as anything more than a snotty rant from a princess who got 86’d by anyone else. EDIT: Erin made some massive edits to her post after I wrote this, so some of my quotes are gone(she was originally very coy or vague about what exactly happened, but now she has elaborated in the form of a movie script, as she remembers it); but she made up for that by accentuating both her anger and her generally condescending attitude that was on full display that night. All in all, College Inn is a great place that I continue to recommend and introduce friends to. And frankly, Marc is one of the best bartenders here or anywhere else that I frequent. Highly recommended, as long as you can act like an adult. If you can’t, understand that 90% of the people inside are loyal regulars — because it is a neighborhood bar, like Cheers — and we are all laughing at you.

POORCUSTOMERSERVICE! Please take the time to read. Physically aggressive«bartender» named Mark(Mike?) took out his bad day on a customer(me) who never planned on patronizing a place with the name«College Inn» in the first place. A barkeep like Mark probably starts fights with people on a daily basis because of his own insecurities. This place could be cool if they employed people with half a brain. I randomly stopped here while on a run a with my dog at 8pm one evening. The people on the patio were super nice and got my dog some water, and they ended up buying me a beer, too. I stayed for the good conversation and friendly customers, but before I’d even finished my beer«Mark»(Mike?) was angrily swooping up empty glasses and told me my dog could not be on the patio. Fine, those are the rules. I respect rules. So dog and I went outside the patio, and I leaned over the railing to chat and finish my beer. Then Neanderthal Mark came by and told me I could not hold my beer while on the other side of the railing. Fine. Those are the rules. I respect rules. But I question stupid rules, and half-brain couldn’t answer my simple question: «How much of my body needs to be over the railing to „pass“, considering my beverage was sitting on a table on bar premises?» The chick straddling the rail a couple feet away with no dog, why is she not being confronted? Instead of answering my simple question, this guy aggressively grabbed the glass from my hand(spilling it on the patrons around us) and told me I should leave. Again, I asked a question. WRONG move considering this idiot really hates questions, likely because HECAN’T ANSWER them. Me: «Why should I leave? What have I done?» His response: «Just because. And you are drunk.»(I’d had ONE beer, FYI) Me: «Ahem, [Idiot bar worker], how many beers did you serve me?» Idiot: «Um, uh, eh, one of these guys bought you a couple beers. You just need to leave.» Me: «So you indirectly served alcohol to me and didn’t check my ID? I don’t even have my ID on me, I didn’t plan on stopping here during my run. And I’ve had one beer.» Idiot: «You need to leave now.» Me: «Why? I simply asked you a question.» When I asked to speak to the manager, Mark stated he was left in charge. I can’t get past that poor business decision. Idiot M: «I’ll call the cops.» Me: «Please do.» Fast forward to the lovely conversation I had with a very nice officer who told me the guy probably had a bad day due to dealing with drunk Bronco fans all day. Essentially, a customer service issue and not a legal one, and the officer said he’d «have a talk with the [idiot] about his behavior.» A slap on the wrist IF the officer had that conversation at all. Not a good excuse for the conflict I was subjected to, in my opinion. Even though the bar was backed by an officer who says they don’t usually have issues with this place, I am highly DISGRUNTLED by the inability of Mark to control his temper, his lack of knowledge, his inability to distinguish a benign and potential future customer from the opposite, and the poor customer service I received. Disappointing considering this establishment has the makings of a great hang-out, sans the Neanderthal employee with an inability to control his temper or answer simple questions about the rules he’s enforcing. Highly aggressive, uncalled for behavior. I’d rate this place higher based on atmosphere, beer and food, space layout and customer accommodation, etc., but I can’t get past the poor employee. If you are an educated, self-respecting woman on a run with your dog who stops to chat with great people, this is not the place for you. But the people I met who were only there to hang out and have a good time… I give those customers 5 stars. I give the College Inn 0 stars.

This is my GO-TO spot on Sundays as they have poker starting at 6:00 and $ 2 Coors Light pints, can’t beat cheap Sunday Funday! I am a big fan of their Buffalo Chicken Wrap, as they don’t skimp on the chicken, veggies, or hot sauce. Keys being the chicken & the buffalo sauce, both top notch in my book! Plus they have an array of TV’s to watch sports from anywhere in the bar. For gaming entertainment there are 2 pool tables, Golden Tee, Buck Hunter, Darts, & a Family Guy(«GIGGIDY!!») Pinball machine.

Went again and it was still pretty bad in terms of service. The male bartender was terrible… as in walk up, look at your empty, and walk away. The bright spot was the waitress who seemingly was responsible for the floor, but would also work behind the bar and seek out thirsty customers. She served us 3x more than the doof behind the bar.

I am really surprised I haven’t written a review for College Inn before since I have been here too many times to count! So, really, it’s just your local watering hole but they have great food and great happy hour specials. Football Sundays are huge here and it gets pretty packed pretty fast. I go here quite often for lunch as I work nearby and we are always in and out in no time. Their burgers are great and my co-workers highly recommend the green chili mac and cheese(even though it’s on the appetizer list, it’s plenty for a meal). I recommend the chili cheese tots, the soft pretzels, and nachos if you are in a snacking mood. They tend to be a little short-handed I’ve noticed when it comes to Friday/Saturday nights so service can be hit or miss. They have a great little patio with a fire pit too. It’s a great local bar and I definitely recommend it.
