The tacos out front are awesome! A little skimp, but definitely tasty. I would recommend the«pastor». I would never step foot inside this place, though. I have a laugh with their patrons out front by the tacos & by their patio, but by midnight there are usually a bunch of jokers turnt up & without a clue. A group of drunkards called me a bitch and try to start a fight with me(alone) while they stumbled to their car. They only attract the cream of the crop. Japanese dude & two vatos. I’m sure they make their Moms cry. Come for the tacos, leave before losers get drunk.

Just wanted to drink and dance! Been looking for a hip hop club in Denver for weeks… I’d rather slit my wrist than listen to EDM all night. Music was GREAT! New and old skool Hip Hop and R & B. Super mixed crowd a major plus. Drinks were strong and cheap. Street tacos outside were a perfect end to the night. Bartenders and waitresses were extra friendly and accomodating. LOVED that everyone was dancing and having fun not just standing around. Would have given more stars if not for the extra coked out, sloppy drunk white boys running into everyone and the gang banging crip who I think tried to break my arm when he was turned down. Thank God the security was soooooo on top of the activity around the club. He ended up throwing out the extra wasted white boys and the gang banging crip! Not a club I would frequent often but after a long, arduous week of work I may return.

Update: My first review of this place shortly after it opened was 5 stars but boy did they go down hill fast. Constant revolving staff, sub par music, the food tastes like it’s straight from plastic wrap now, and the crowd gets pretty unpleasantly rowdy to say the least. Haven’t been back in awhile.

A good time every time. Great hip hop music, always a packed dance floor, and tacos outside the door to boot! What more could you ask for? $ 10 cover which kind of sucks but it’s worth it!

If you like extremely loud bars, I mean the kind where you can’t hear anything but the beat, this is the place for you. Not exactly classy but your basic I-hate-the-world-and-want– to-drown-in-alcohol-and-base. I would say it’s generally a tacky place. Plastic cups for their beer. Awkward dancing that requires unhealthy amount of alcoholic social lubricant. Typical of lower middle class America. I will say this, I wish less for places like this and more places that encourage nice drinks and nice conversation. Maybe it’s just because I’m getting old, but I want people who are like minded to understand what they’re getting into when they do here. Maybe for people who are single, young, and don’t care about their ear drums.

Favorite place in Denver, hands down!!! Cheaper drinks than the rest of the area and best music/DJ’s you can get in this city! The taco stand outside is also some of the best street taco’s I’ve had. You can order from inside/ouside bar area or even get tacos w/o entering. 2 $ tacos, so worth it… Don’t skip the inside though, so many throwbacks from the 90’s R&B/Hip Hop from the 90’s with a good 30% of new jams. Moving soon, so I’m sad I just discovered this place :/

LOOOOOOOOOOVED Cold Crush(Did I put enough os for how much I loved it)? I’m not from Denver, so while visiting we wanted to find a place that played great music. Cold Crush was the first to come to mind with my friend, and we decided to give it a shot. I wasn’t too pleased about the $ 10 cover for a bar… this isn’t Vegas, and it’s a pretty small bar that shouldn’t warrant a cover. Haven’t seen that before, but oh well. It was a great time. Bathroom was straight-up disgusting. Won’t go into details, but let’s just say I don’t get grossed out easily and I wanted to shut my eyes and not breathe in the restroom air. Everything else was great! Music can’t be beat. Old school hip-hop, modern hip-hop, lots of Drake, and a couple weird techno songs thrown here and there. Everybody dances and has a great time here. Drinks are reasonably priced and strong. Pretty sure the bar tender poured a double for our vodka sodas each round — Thanks girl. The artwork in Cold Crush was my favorite part. Very detailed, original portraits of Biggie, Tupac, MJ, and others.

I checked this place out for the first time on Saturday and I LOVED it. I’ve been looking for a place in Denver that plays amazing Hip Hop for months now, and I’ve found it. The DJ was so spot-on, I didn’t even want to take a break from dancing to get a drink. The crowd was a good mix of people, all different races all different ages. I loved the patio and saw they have $ 2 tacos. Gonna have to check that out next time. Knocked off a star because they need a bigger dancing space! It’s really more of a bar with a little bit of room to boogie. I will definitely be back here. .. probably next weekend. .. and the weekend after that.

Cold Crush. I’d been hearing about it for a month or so from friends. What is the big deal? You want me to pay a cover for what? I’m not in my early 20s anymore… not so sure about this, guys! I. Was. Wrong. We had a group get together and end at Cold Crush one evening. The only downside: the cover(hence the four stars). I think it was ten bucks on the night we went. Not going to lie: usually a deal breaker for me, but the rest of the group was on board. The music. Old school hip hop perfection. The songs took me back in the best way possible. We danced all night long… the DJ knew what’s up. It was really crowded, but the bartenders kept up. From beers to shots to mixed drinks, they do it well and they do it quickly. The female bartenders were very friendly(not always the case with ladies at the bar) and good looking. Well done, ladies. We’ll be back – but not too often. I don’t want to ruin the experience! Plus, it took me a day and a half to recover…

Cold Crush has a love or hate relationship in Denver! Personally I love the place, I am a hip hop head and on any given night some of Denver’s best DJ’s are spinning their own personal iteration of Hip Hop for you. Cold Crush philosophy is ONE we are all ONE and you can get that feeling on any given night as the cultural mix within the bar can be very eclectic. I have always found the staff at CC to be right on point with the service, then again I havent been in here acting like a pretentious prick either. Funny that the hipsters who have taken over the Points are not a fan of CC as they know think the Points is owned by them but I think CC is a perfect example of how many worlds can intermingle. The gentrification of the points and its coffee shops where the baristas act annoyed to serve, and the pseudo dive bars with Pabst Blue Ribbon cans and plethora of flannel, thick glasses and beards! CC stands out as place that will even welcome them and others and even me! The $ 2 tacos are good because lets face it after your drinking $ 2 tacos are right on time. Order a Dilla at the bar sit your ass down and bob your head and you will fit in!

Loved the music so I give it 4stars but Cold Crush gets super crowed and they don’t seem to cap the entry. Every time I go there is a cover so can be a bit annoying especially when it’s just jammed packed. Bartenders were super nice!

Nice spot that had bumpin’ music. Good vibes and we got right in for $ 5. I like that it wasn’t too big so it felt close knit and people communicated with you over the music. They had a small patio and a booth outside set up for tacos. Didn’t get to eat the tacos but enjoyed myself non the less. I would go back!

This place is awesome! All the other posts raving that’s it is the best place for a mix of Old School, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Pop are right. For those that say racist and ignorant comments, you should keep your small minded thoughts and opinions out of the reviews. Anyway, the vibe was awesome, cool, and everyone came to have a good time. That’s exactly what I did with my husband. We had an amazing time! You won’t find a club like this around downtown. 5 points is getting hot! It’s up and coming. Hipsters, and anyone that wants to show off some of their rhythm, should definitely check out Cold Crush. I know my husband and I will definitely be back!;)

When I usually inquire after Denver hip hop clubs, this is usually the only spot that gets mentioned, maybe Chances and Chloe too. Came here last night with a few girls, wished I could’ve stay longer. I absolutely adore the crowd, an eclectic mix of people all there to enjoy the music. White, black, Asian, Hispanic, young, middle aged, cheesy but it was kind of inspiring to see everyone unified in their enjoyment of music. The actual music was phenomenal, an equally eclectic mix to suit the crowd. Contemporary, throwbacks, some funk and r&b, usually I’m put off by changing genres but the DJ seamlessly weaved each song and genre into one another. I’ve honestly never experienced such a happy and content vibe at a bar before. You typically have that one drunk or bellig dude who throws the entire mood off, everyone at Cold Crush exuded great vibes and danced uninhibitedly. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

Boooooo! BOOOO! Move this shit show to lodo where it belongs! Watched as a hummer limo pulled up with 15 girls wearing tube top dresses and falling all over the place wasted. I will say the tacos rule and they get through the line fast! The people working the taco stand work hard! As far as inside, two thumbs down. Over priced drinks, filled to capacity and drunk bros galore. Not an authentic hip hop bar.

The five stars is for the taco stand outside!!! The bar itself is more like 2 stars. There always seems to be some douchebag DJ who is way too loud. The taco stand they have outside is fucking incredible, however. Get your tacos at Cold Crush and walk across the street to The Meadowlark for a cool bar to eat them in!

I don’t understand Cold Crush, but I don’t have too. I only know there was a great guy serving tacos al pastor here. I was waiting for a friend when I noticed the meat on a spit topped with pineapple. Food senses on high alert! My stomach said I was full, but my eyes said there was room for more. Chicken was sliced and added to the grill. Some onions were added. Cooking implements schnicked and schnacked. The meat was added atop corn tortillas along with some grilled pineapple. He recommended that we mix the two salsas together. We happily took his advanced. Delicious! I asked to take his picture while in action and he happily agreed. He wants to be famous. Go there and check it out!

Absolutely, some of the worst brunch food I’ve ever had! We had a couple items, chicken and waffles and just the standard breakfast. Let’s start with the eggs, bacon and toast. Bacon appeared to have been microwaved to cook, eggs had no flavor, and the toast came with no butter or anything on it and was so hard it could crack a tooth. The chicken and waffles: pecans weren’t too bad in it, it was incredibly dry though, the chicken are just hot wings thrown on top of the waffle. The plate didn’t fit the meal, so the hot sauce from the wings soaked into the waffle making it taste awful. The wings seemed pretty old and if those are the regular wings on the menu, good lord they are bad. Had a few bites, closed our tab and went and ate lunch elsewhere. I would never recommend eating at this place.

Cold Crush, trying to bring the ghetto back to five points. I live a few blocks away, so I was happy to see this building nicely renovated and serving a menu, which five points badly needs. At first it was welcoming with surprisingly good food for a bar and a decent staff, but as the quality of staff has gone downhill, so has the clientele. At this point, this place needs to be shut down. The owners have shown their inability to run a respectable establishment in addition to being awful neighbors by leaving the doors open and music blaring well past closing hours most nights of the week. It’s so poorly run that I wonder if it’s merely a drug front for morons. It was no surprise when three people were shot on the patio the other night after the vibe I experienced the last few times I was there. Take note Denver restaurateurs, any restaurant/bar would be successful in this location.
