Got the club going up… On a Tuesday! I only come for electronic Tuesday’s. The best show I’ve seen was Megalodon and it was«lit». Also the atmosphere is very relaxed here. You can really get loose just handle yourself accordingly and you’ll be fine.

Cervs is great. Pretty wookie which makes me feel safe and at home. Music is typically above average. Free bluegrass on Thursdays is great and shows are typically cheap. Plus, they don’t kill you on service fees. Cervs is my go to spot for vibes, tunes and good conversation.

People that work here are totally rude and condescending.

Nice place to hear good music for cheap. The prices for alcohol were even better.

Great venue with a very nice selection of music and drinks. Connected to The Other Side which is also a great venue/bar. I would recommend it to anyone.

I love Cervantes. Love it. Shows are cheap, the music is always great, and they go late. The drinks are cheap, STRONG, and huge in actual pint glasses. The neighborhood is a bit iffy late-night, but nothing crazy, and is actually on the up-and-up. Best smaller venue in Denver, by far.

I LOVE Cervantes, as it is a neighborhood place where I can see much variety of live music and get a drink for $ 5. Shows are relatively cheap($ 15 – 20 usually) and start late, which I also enjoy. I like Cervantes especially on Friday nights because I got home from work around 6 – 7PM, so it is nice to be able to relax before a concert and not have to rush out the door to get to a show that starts at 9PM. Cervantes is a little divey, sound is decent, has a nice patio on the Other Side where you can mingle and smoke. All in all, Cervantes represents a nice neighborhood feel where you often see people you know. I could show up at Cervantes alone and would likely see a friend and have a good time! There’s also food on the Other Side, which is nice if you have been drinking and need something to munch on. Oftentimes, Cervantes does free ticket giveaways, as well if you are on their email list. I, for one, love free things, so this is a nice perk when you receive their emails! Staff is oftentimes very friendly as well and I have personally gotten to know a few of the security staff. They are pretty lax about things inside. Also, the bartenders are always friendly if you tip! All in all, great neighborhood spot if you want to check out more underground Denver night life that you may not find at the bars.

They’re churning out serious music and on a regular basis. The venue is intimate and dual band jams still can be pulled off. The back patio is like a transport into Kentucky when the bluegrass is going. It’s a scene for sure, cheap drinks, and partying in every capacity all around you.

Went here for the first time last night to see Opiou! The sound was fantastic! Vibes were great! The back patio area is beautiful, lots of places to kick it and artists were out back selling… art! haha. The staff was friendly from the box office, bar and security. Big thanks to the brown haired girl with glasses at the front(I forgot your name hun but you were sweet! loved the high five and good vibes) Benny was very cool, helpful and also helped me out with getting my sweet jacket back. You guys are killing it, keep spreading the love and happiness :) Lots of love from myself and friends who shared the experience.

Quintessential dump music hall. Heard a guy that embodies a Jeff Healy but better sound. Overall this place is a dump, run by a bunch of hippies concerned with being cool to there«friends». Nothing historic, it’s a tear down clinging to history.

My favorite venue in Denver, great acts, great sound, great staff. And the location/neighborhood keeps the squares away…

Been here twice. Once to see the 7-Walkers, and once to see Touchpants! There are 02 music venues.(connected) On the night I saw Touchpants, they were having a separate concert next-door(the Everyone Orchestra) which you were suppose to buy separate tickets to. I started off in TP then went through to EO(and they were equally awesome, if not better.) Bottom line, they don’t police it tightly, at least it didn’t appear that way. They have excellent beers on tap(you would expect being in Colorado). I have always had a lovely, wonderful time here. Touchpants is family-friendly entertainment. If in the Denver area, this is a great place to see music.

Not bad, not great. Good sound but the crowd wasn’t too friendly and was on the younger side. Good for shows you can’t miss but hardly an iconic venue.

One of the most consistent venues in town. Big or small every show here is great. Solid booking week in and out, a true ‘fan freindly’ venue. Free parking to be had which is more than most.

It’s a cool place but not very organized. The box office doesn’t talk to the person who checks you in and the kitchen doesn’t know what’s going on outside. We went there for the first time because we had a groupon-type of deal for the funk festival and cajun boil. First of all, nobody knew where we supposed to redeem them. After about 20 minutes, someone finally directed us to the box office. At the box office, they told us it’s only good for admission to the festival but not the cajun boil. We would have to purchase separate food vouchers. The food was pretty good. I really liked the bbq ribs. What mostly bothers me is the lack of customer service skills and the«I don’t really care» attitude from the many staff members.

Had a small ticket issue which was handled so well and cool by Duncan the owner! Really impressed with this organization and obviously how much they treat you like a person not a guy who bought a ticket to see a show! Look forward to supporting the folks at Cervantes! Five stars! Thanks again!

I’ve been to several shows at Cervantes and have had great experiences but was incredibly disappointed when I was charged four times for a total of $ 42.00 for one drink. I disputed the charge with my bank but it must have been too late because the charge stuck. If you will be going to Cervantes make sure to pay with cash. Risk being over charged if you use a credit card.

Pretty great for live music. The band sounded great, the crowd was awesome and better yet, they serve big tall drinks in pint glasses. Parking is a little iffy, but I found a spot 2 blocks away. I’ll be back!

Badass joint! I had high expectations and they were met. This place has everything a live music venue should, except for functioning ATMs. There was helpful friendly staff everywhere, there is a gigantic disco ball that makes the scene ethereal(see pics), a kitchen on the ‘other side’, tables and seats in back of the other side, a balcony for those who want to change their perspective, and some amazing local crafts. You could fart in there all night an no one would be the wiser as others were adding to the aroma with herbal essence and incense. The box office even gave us some incense to burn inside the venue when we picked up our tickets! The girl’s bathroom was excellent, fun weird art, and clean enough that I didn’t feel too bad about our friend who spent the night in the stall hovering around the toilet. Plus, I am a sucker for a checkerboard floor! I can’t believe how good the acoustics are in each space, no noise spilled between sides. The ballroom had a large bar where we got great service until it got crazy crowded. $ 4 for a PBR tallboy is decent concert fare. But charging for water is lame. I was easily able to glide right up to the stage and back. Plus the people watching was great! I love how the space is divided and you could easily go outside, back and forth and up to the balcony for a great view since the tickets were a twofer — what a deal! I had friends who wanted to sit, some who wanted to dance, some who smoked and all were accommodated nicely. They even had the Broncos game on! Catching a cab from there was a challenge, but the secret is to just jump right in front of traffic or wear a super short skirt. I can’t wait for my next experience there!
