Not a bad shop– the barber(there seems to be only one) is gregarious and boisterous and takes his time; but between his energy level, the unofficial appointment system and the fact that it’s a one-chair shop, the cut was not particularly good; the fade came out a little steppy. Pro: warm atmosphere, great banter, arcade games. Con: awkward location, not enough attention to detail.

This place is absolutely fabulous. Been going there for 3 years now. Justin is an awesome guy who works there every single day it is open. It is like an old school traditional NY barber style where you can feel totally comfortable talking about anything. I go in there now get my hair cut, he knows about my personal life, sports, job. We catch up on everything. On top of that his attention to detail is immaculate! Open razor for such straight lines, tapers my hair really well. I have really curly fuzzy hair that is VERY hard to cut as well. He makes it happen every time. I used to go to big chains like Great Clips and it was ALWAYS a gamble what was going to come out. Besides the gamble almost always would have someone new and you’d get the«Sure is nice weather outside today» conversations. Now I have a place I walk in I even know some of the patrons after going there so long. If you love throwing your money to huge corporations feel free. But, if you are looking for an awesome local barber shop that does great work where you can feel at home this is the spot.

Save your money for a real barber or chain shop. The dude is a black man trapped in a white mans body that cuts your hair the way he wants, not you. He doesn’t know how to taper, he just keeps changing clipper guards rather than a real barber with clipper/scissor over comb. My mistake. Gonna take a while to growthis mess out!

I got to agree with the other reviewers. Justin is meticulous, is really attentive and overall a cool dude to chat with while you’re getting cut. Between his attention to detail and the unbeatable price, I’ll without a doubt be going back.

My son is picky about his hair. I mean really picky. We’ve found 2 people who he willingly goes to get his hair cut and as it happened they were both unavailable today. So, I looked around and found that Buzzz-D was right around the corner from our house. We stopped and got cash and then headed over. I’m glad we did. First if you go– do not expect a beauty salon or anything fancy. It’s not. This is back to the basics BARBER shop. Which if you are looking for a barber is great, because they actually do a really good job. We got right in, listened to what my son wanted with his hair, and got to work. There are very few barbers we’ve come across in our part of town that know how to cut black hair. They did. Even better it was totally affordable. Reeaally affordable. We now have 3 people in town my super picky son can go to and I won’t even mind taking him more often to Buzzz-D because it really is a good deal for a great cut.

Nestled in between Broadway & Lincoln(right behind Famous Pizza) on Bayaud is a tiny little barber shop ran the urban way, with plenty of DVDs & CDs made in that special way… FYI, Google maps claims this is 55 – 99 Bayaud, which is why I wanted to point out this is between Broadway & Lincoln, because the stickers on the window in the photos provided says 11. This is not the kind of place with a website, hell, I don’t even think they have a yellow pages listing. Bring cash, no credit cards are accepted. They do have a «Happy Hour», 5pm-7pm where you can get a $ 10 male’s cut. The boys working there do it right though I’d suggest going for that short, clean cut, where half of your style requires clippers, for optimal results. The place is called Buzzz-d after all… Bonus, they will be sure to run the grease along your chops before sending you on your way. Great place for a guy’s hairdo, and at a great price. We’re all looking to keep it simple in our grooming. After all, why do you think I stick with the 5 o’clock? Who needs expensive razor replacements these hard times? Get BUZZZ-D.
