I don’t even know why this place is still in business. Definitely one of the most horrible food ever seen come out of the food truck or stall whatever think Black Crow is. Even a hotdog cart serve better food. For a $ 12 fish taco: They serve you two tacos with trout and apples on top of a thick hard tortilla shell that you can’t even eat, not to mention the tiny little size of the taco itself. The herb garnish for the tacos was definitely oxidize and old. I’m afraid to order the ceviche judging the quality of the food served to me and the staff that was there. The food itself was boring, no seasoning and not inventive what so ever. Please hire a new chef or just move on.

Stopped in here around 6 p.m. because Rio had a one-half hour wait. There were two or three empty tables, including one long picnic table, perfect for our group of six. To our delight, it’s casual and kid friendly. Our server, Veronica, immediately brought milk for the grandchildren and pointed out a set of blocks for them to play with. She recommended an avocado Margarita. I was dubious, but it was delicious. The original taco truck is still there, but the place has morphed into an avant garde bar serving the most wonderful heavy hors d’oeuvres any of us had ever eaten. We ordered two salads, two plates of sliders, one plate of the pork skewers, and one plate of brats. These satisfied four hungry adults and both children. Each salad was scrumptious and big enough to satisfy two. It contained a delightful and surprising mixture of ingredients including sprouts, marinated mushrooms and pickled onions, in addition to a nice variety of greens. The lamb sliders were our favorite because of the remarkable roasted red pepper sauce and a marvelous combination of herbs in both the lamb and the bread. The brats were also delicious, again mainly because of the three fabulous sauces served with them. We begged the manager to sell us bottles of all the sauces, when he came out personally to check on us. He promised to share the recipes when we come back. I asked him whether they sell the Shirts the staff all wear. He insisted on giving me one for free. The dessert was tempting, but one person in our party is allergic to nuts. No problem. The manager offered to make it with Mexican chocolate ice cream instead of snickers bar bits. Again, we found it overwhelmingly delicious. The servers all worked as a team, keeping our water glasses full. In short, every thing about this dining experience exceeded our expectations. All of us agreed we can hardly wait to return.

I stopped in here last night after dinner at Hapa across the street. We just wanted margaritas and it was a perfect place for an evening drink. It’s a great little patio spot without having to wait in the outrageous line for The Rio. The margs are the same – strong and yummy and the server we had was really nice. It also felt like the guys working in the truck were having a good time, which always makes the vibe of a place better. I would suggest you watch out for stank-faced yuppie-types who act like they are entitled to certain tables, but otherwise this place is kinda cool. I am definitely curious about the food, and will try it next time.

Buyer beware, they are no longer a «mexican» joint! They’ve replaced their wonderful menu, including the delicious tacos and tortas(the kind you craved when you wanted real, authentic, street tacos/tortas with well thought out and executed salsas) and now instead offer some sort of «fancy» «Urban Campground» fare. The item I still can’t get out of my head that was the reason for me walking away sadly disgusted by such a wonderfully wasted opportunity: a $ 10 smoked trout corn dog. If you’re into ridiculous prices(2 drinks and a dinner plate has you well over $ 30/per person), eclectic options(see aforementioned«smoked trout corn dog» and yet not a single vegetarian /vegan option(unless you count the $ 6 greens, salad with feta, pea shoots, and apple slices — sounds super filling, right?)), then this is is your place! This is no longer the tiny taco shop in a street car, located smack dab in the middle of a location with at least 9 other mexican food options, that had something none of them had to offer. The service was slow sometimes, and the quality wasn’t always consistent, but even on a bad day, the tacos were still good, and on a good day, they were to die for. They had a fun, relaxed environment, serving simply priced, simply made food that people loved and raved about. Now they have a menu that I scanned over at least 10 times trying to find a single food option that I thought sounded reasonably palatable for the price and the fact that I’m sitting out back ordering from an open trailer, and I couldn’t convince myself to order anything. We even gave them a chance by ordering one of their drinks instead of a marg from the Rio(because the waiter said they were trying to strongly discourage people from ordering from the Rio’s menu this year because they’re trying to make their own«identity»), and it was disgusting. It had a fancy name and ingredients listed to support the marked up cocktail price, but when we got it, it tasted like straight up tequila with a splash of water. We paid and left ½ the drink sitting there because we couldn’t even force ourselves to finish it. I’m sorry guys, I don’t usually give many reviews at all on here, and when I do, it’s been good. I had to share my experience, even if simply for the fact that people should be aware of the simple fact that you are no longer anywhere even close to the realm of being categorized as «mexican» food, so you should at least update that. Personally, I’d consider switching back to the menu that garnered 4 stars and a cult-like following and make small improvements to get people in, but maybe that’s just me. Either way, good luck!

Horribly overpriced. $ 9 for a standard margarita. Service was so slow that it was painful. We didn’t try the food so can’t comment on that but it also seemed expensive.

The Black Crow is mixing it up this year! Craft cocktails and refined delicious dishes, can’t wait to try em all. The fire pits, lanterns, and community tables keep up with the relaxed feel the Crow is known for, but the offerings keep it interesting and fresh!

Found this place by accident as I was walking down Blake today. Glad I did! Good food! I loved the shrimp taco. The chicken was good as well. The pork was a bit spicy for me but you may love it. The service was great, the gentleman who took my order was polite and friendly. I will be back.

Love this casual spot! The guy that helped us was super nice & helpful. We grabbed a spot on one of the wooden tables and noshed on shrimp tacos. Good vibe and total recommend.

This place is right across the street from my office which in some ways sucks(staring out the window at the sunny patio and all the people enjoying a margarita while I’m stuck at my desk) and in some ways is awesome(it takes .5 seconds to get over there after work to also enjoy a margarita on the sunny patio). They’ve got the Rio margs served in plastic cups and they also offer a «Ricky,» which is a delicious margarita with a coronita poured in. A perfect patio drink! When it’s not too busy, they’ve got corn hole or «bags» to hang around and play and in the warmer months, they project movies up on the outdoor wall. Pretty solid when it comes to hanging out…

Love me some Thursday nights at the Black Crow!!! Over the summer, they project classic movies on the wall and have $ 2 sliders and super cheap beer. I was a little skeptical of the sliders, as this is a mexican joint, but they were delicious! Definitely fresh beef, and they’ll even add avocado to them… yum. Def going to return soon to try out the tacos and play some bags!

Great patio setting, love the shrimp po boi! There tacos are a little dry I didn’t care for them too much. They serve Rio margaritas so be careful cuz they can bite you in the booty if you are drinking them like juice cuz they taste so good! Their salsa is on the spicy side but very delicious. Oh I almost forgot to mention if you can’t decide between a beer or margarita try the«Ricky» out. It’s a margarita with a Coronita tipped over sitting inside the glass. That’s hard to describe but just try it, I love it! They also have some bean bag toss game thing out on the patio for some entertainment along with a big projector screen where they show football games etc.

This place is great! Fun, casual, and an all around great place to spend the evening. I highly recommend it for an evening with friends on one of those unbelieveably beautiful Colorado nights. I think the margaritas are the same as the neighboring Rio(aka STRONG) but served in a plastic cup so you don’t have to worry about being careful with all that glass as the night goes on… I could see this place being so crowded that you can’t move, but it certainly wasn’t bad at all when I was there.

Food was awful. AWFUL. They’re so far off the mark that I finally signed up for Unilocal just to tell you about it. I’m just a man of the people in that way. You’re welcome.

Usually I try and avoid Lodo like the plague, but I will be back to the Black Crow. Fun, casual atmosphere and fun food and drinks. I am a vegetarian, so had veggie nachos, a veggie torta(sans the portabella mushroom because I think they are effing gross), poppers and a couple of margs. This isn’t the best Mexican food you will have, but it is tasty and the atmosphere is just fun. And while the first couple sips of the frozen margarita with a Coronita overturned in it was weird, after that I felt like I was on vacation. The Black Crow is great for groups, great for enjoying non-heat wave weather and when you want to pretend that you are not actually in BroDo for a bit.

I love street food, but hate looking for a place to chow down after ordering. This place solves this dilemma by providing food from a taco wagon, yet holding a permanent location to the north of the Rio Grande(apparently, they are sister restaurants). I thought the tacos were good, but the highlight was the Mexican style corn(the stuff is like candy to me). I was a bit disappointed in their happy hour specials, and their margs seem smaller than the Rio’s. I’ll be back to try out the Torta. I’m very picky, but if their tacos are good indicator of their menu, I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

This place has awesome tacos. My favorite are the barbacoa, but my brother preferred the jalapeño mango chicken tacos. The black crow pie was as street food as you get — sloppy, messy, and big. The Tortas were well dressed and layered in fresh veggies. The margaritas were the highlight. Better and stronger than the neighboring Rio Grande. Service from the girls was average, but Nik made sure we got our drinks and were never empty. Skip the Rio. Eat the tacos. Drink the ‘ritas. Happy cinco de Mayo!

Dudes… you’ve got to check out this new truck in the backyard of The Rio restaurant. I just had to add them on Unilocal, they had no listing here(your welcome losers). Their TORTAS rock and are served with fresh habanero salsa and powdered-chili, tiny-thin, crispy french fries, like in Paris(yes, I’m drunk). Must try their tex-mex shrimp po’boy! At $ 7 bucks you can’t get better TORTA in Lodo(I love typing and saying ‘TORTA’!). This is Rio’s new venture, as a separate, but crash-marketed street food themed restaurant and menu. WAY better food than Rio’s restaurant fare(burp), but shares their margaritas(tasty strong). Go eat a TORTA, get drunk and laugh at the people seating across from you who opted out of the street fare, in favor of dated faux-tex restaurant food. Good times. Oh, and say hello to my friend Nik(«without a C»)…he’s the most over-qualified waiter in Denver, yo.
