Worse customer service ever! Staff is led by example, meaning the manager was rude and didn’t greet customers. Close to 10 employees standing around chatting with each other. No one bother to ask me if I needed assistance or had questions. Had to find someone to get key for dressing room. Then a male employee open the dressing room door without knocking. Good thing I was already dressed. Cashier was short, snobby and rude. NEVERGOINGBACK

This Big 5 is basically a «convenience» sporting goods store. If you need some tennis balls quickly, or if you desperately need some snow boots and quality does not matter, then you go to Big 5. The staff is not helpful, and often times does not even know their own merchandise. This is like the Wal-Mart of sporting good stores.

This place is hit or miss but it is convenient so I keep coming back when I know exactly what I need. Finding it is another story. The front desk staff always seem to be engrossed in a super important conversation to correctly direct me to the right location. However the young guy in the shoe section is on his game and making up for his fellow employees lack of service these days by walking me around the store to find stuff. Size selection is often limited. Lots of smalls and XXL’s but mid range is usually missing. They do often have deals on kids sports shoes if your not too picky on brand /style. My kids never mind the bad service as long as we walk out with Gator Gum or Big League Chew.

Everytime I am here I feel like I am going to run into all the staff sitting outside the entrance, smoking cigs and talking smack. The last two times I came, I did get a hello, which was more than I expected. The store is crammed with all sorts of sporting goods — from biking to fishing to camping to clothing and they are reasonably priced. The store, like a Walmart with its dim lighting, makes me aggravated. I will only come here if I know exactly what I am looking for…

This is in the Stapleton plaza with everything else, this one over by the Home Depot. I went in here looking for some new workout clothes. They had a huge men’s selection but a very limited woman’s section. I saw some stuff I liked just not enough to buy I guess. I did get distracted by all the workout items. I felt like it was«I saw it on TV» area. Every infomercial was represented in true form. We all we watched them and think they are the neatest looking contraptions. I have to admit for a moment I was thinking about buying, but common sense kicked in. I still might be back for the workout bands for fun. Good place to go for shoes, clothing, camping gear, fishing poles, and workout contraptions.

We encounter entirely a different customer service when we were there a few weeks ago. When we first enter the store, we browsed what we need to look for. Then one of the staffs approach us if we need any assistance from them. Perhaps by now, they are under a new management or a new manager etc etc… so the service was OK. Since we need certain items for camping and some shoes, we managed to get to choose and try on several shoe sizes that they have. They are attentive and offer us some suggestions with regards to the shoes we are looking for. All in all an OK experience shopping here. Hubs intend to return to this store in order to get more deals on what he needs be it sporting goods or his camping needs. That time when we were here we get good deals on the items we purchased.
