Anthony’s Pizza and Pasta

Everything about this pizza is just right! I love coming with my daughter and ordering a slice. I love the big slices! Yum

Pizza is alright, but you have to put up with the staff, which are mostly rude. Would recommend eating somewhere else.

This. Place. Is. Delicious! Went here on my lunch break, and they had my food done so quickly, even though there was a bit of a line. The staff is super friendly, and did I mention the food is delicious? They also have super cheap beer. I’ll definitely be making this place a lunch break favorite.

If you’re gonna do Anthony’s near DU, you need to come here on the night they do $ 1 slices & $ 1 beers — it’s always a good time. I love the cheese pizza — they do it right, and it goes down smooth. This Anthony’s is special because they offer pool games & a nice hangout area. The pizza isn’t the best, but it’ll get the job done on a budget, you’ll be satisfied.

Very friendly group of guys. This is a busy location but everything is copacetic.

Peter reached out to me to apologize and did his best to make things right so I can appreciate that. I’d hope my situation was a one-​off and not the norm. Considering there are so many other food options in Denver, you would hope and expect people/​restaurants to do their best to get you to come back.

We’ve been customers of this location for many years and it’s been in the past year that their delivery AND quality have really slipped. I called tonight, a Thursday evening and was told an hour and a quarter wait time for delivery. The pizza did arrive two hours later, cold and hard. This has happened several times before. I’ve tried to pick up, and they give a time it’ll be ready. Then they don’t even start it until I show up! Seriously guys, do you know how many pizza joints there are in Denver? I’m about to branch out cuz I give up!

Real NY style pie! Great sauce, cheese is fresh, but the dough that’s the real specialness as evidenced by the love they use and the technique, it’s all about the technique. Don’t sweat the technique!

These guys are bad. Ridiculously rude. They could care less about being cool because they always have the DU crowd there. And it’s THIS location only that sucks. Anthony’s is good everywhere else. The guys on Evans forget orders, they look and act like you’re bothering them every time you place one, I swear, it’s like a twilight zone. They have a good location and that’s IT. Funny because I’ve dealt with them on and off for years I can’t deal with these slobs anymore. I’d rather go hungry !!!

I’ve been coming here for 25 years, and this place hasn’t changed a bit. Crowded with DU students, limited seating and awkward-​cramped waiting forever for your pizza. The counter guys always seem to be yucking it up and piled on top of each other. The cheese pizza is good though and I love to dump little piles of garlic, crushed red pepper and oregano on my thin paper plate to mop it all up. I guess that’s why I can’t stop coming back.
Every other location I’ve been to has excellent service and ample seating. One time, in Centennial, they just gave me a free pizza. At first I had to wonder if I looked homeless, but quickly appreciated their generosity and the prior customer’s mistake.

Ordered a pizza for delivery and they said an hour. After over an hour and a half I call and they say it is on its way and will be there in less than 10. 15 minutes after that I call back and get hung up on after hearing them discussing me in the background. I call back and ask to talk to the manager who has no explanation but offers to refund the bill. A few minutes later the delivery guy arrives. I tell him I talked to the manager who was going to void the bill since now I have almost been waiting 2 hours. The delivery guy instantly gets defensive and starts arguing with me that I am out of the delivery zone. I have ordered here before and this was never something that was brought to my attention. Sometimes Unilocal doesn’t always put the correct location on top and I have called the wrong location with other chains before and they have always pointed me to the correct location. After a short argument he thrusts the pizza in my hands and storms off. Honestly, I still would have probably tipped him had he been the slightest bit customer friendly. Very disappointing customer service from everyone I dealt with tonight. I will not be ordering from them or any other location again.

Anthony’s is gettin’ three stars from me.
The pizza was actually a 3 – 4. Non-​greasy cheap pizza that tastes like cheap pizza– which is actually I think a good thing. Everyone needs a little now and then. Also, I had a side salad which was actually delicious and under $ 4 which makes me a fan.
But, the cashier was sorting through cut vegetables, with no gloves, while taking our order and our $$. Ew. So I’m assuming the things you can’t see behind the counter are a bit worse off sanitation-wise…Yikes.

Already over our Thanksgiving leftovers, we tried Anthony’s for delivery on Friday. We ordered a ½ cheese, ½ mushroom and olive pizza along with a side of garlic bread. 45 minutes later our order was delivered. The pizza was decent, not amazing, but not bad either, and the garlic bread was tasty. However, I think it’s overpriced for what it is. And for that reason it gets 3 stars.

Classic NY Style pizza at a great price — my favorite «slab of pie» in Denver and perfectly foldable, unlike that Lasagna Cake Pie from Chicago :-)

«I Love Anthony’s» claims the website printed on the box. My husband and I discovered Anthony’s by accident in a summer rainstorm. While Anthony’s is nothing new in the way of pizza, any pie ordered from these guys is going to be satisfying. Next time I am in the neighborhood, I will definitely stop in.

Pretty authentic pizza, but not 100% NY. Of course, the slices are bigger, but they are easily foldable which is the key to a good slice. The cheese and sauce are layered thin which is correct, but the only elements missing were the orange grease and the oregano flecks on top of the slice. Yes, they have oregano shakers, but that isn’t enough. It was still a very good slice. The chicken parmesan hero at $ 7.50 was also a pleasant choice — very solid cutlets with good sauce and cheese. Might have needed a few more minutes in the oven, but this was a decent version of the classic dish and my personal favorite. Staff was friendly too, but some workers looked like they just walked off the streets with their shorts.

This place was a place I loved for over 9 years. I could always count on a great pizza despite the long delivery time. The last three times I have ordered from here, I have been sorely disappointed. It actually makes me sad as it was very tasty in the past. I found a new place in the neighborhood and I hope they make it. Anthony’s what happened to you? Did you become a chain and lower your ingredient standards?

Pretty good pizza. I stopped in for a quick bite for dinner with my 2 year old. We both got plain slices and they were fresh and tasty. It wasn’t a slice that had be sitting around all day and recently reheated. Oh– and the slices were HUGE. One was plenty. That and a Shock Top beer and I was satisfied.
They have two rooms for eating. One side a booth/​table dining room, the other a couple pool tables and video games with some tables for eating.

Solid pizza, polite and timely delivery, delicious garlic bread. Props for a crispy, yet chewy crust (that’s not so chewy you end up with TMJ). What more could a girl want from delivery pizza?
