I contacted this lawyer for assistance. As I was about to explain the reason for my call, I was transferred to voice mail WITHOUT warning. I find that conduct to be rude and unprofessional.

Ms. Claudia Abernethy practices real estate law, but she has the rare specialization of only defending tenants in landlord/​tenant disputes. I could tell that she was trustworthy over the phone, and she impressed me by making time for our initial consultation the same day we called. She was prepared for our meeting, and took a real interest in our case. She evidenced a true understanding of the laws throughout our conversation, even when I sneakily tested her a few times on research I had done independently before we arrived. She seems quite experienced, and it is my understanding that she wins her cases much more often than not.
It’s refreshing to find a lawyer who is truly interested in protecting the «little guy». I would happily recommend Ms. Abernethy to any tenant involved in a dispute. You do have rights! It is heartening to be reminded of that, and to win your case.
