By far not the best Walmart around. Not the cleanest and the workers aren’t very fast to help. I go here only when I have to.

LONGEST/WORST oil change experience of my life! Drove up, the lady taking my information said the wait would be an hour to an hour and a half, i was ok with this. Went to thrift giant did a little shopping for about 45 mins. Went back to Walmart to finish up shopping, upon walking in i saw my car was next in line, YAY. Shopped; this store is poorly stocked and the aisles are so narrow it allows for only one cart at a time. I checked out went and looked where my car was, it was in the same location it was 45 mins ago! The ladies at the lube desk couldn’t give me an ETA. 3 hours. Yup 3 hours from the moment i drove up till i drove off.

Absolutely disgusting. The employees, the store shelves, bathroom, everything in that store is gross. I’m a huge fan of Walmart but this one is just a sad excuse of a store. They should be ashamed of themselves. I guarantee if the district manager came to that store he or she would shut that piece of trash down in a heartbeat.

Never get an oil change here. They’ll cut cost at every chance possible. They used the wrong oil grade(cheaper price). The guy also over inflated both tires on the right. Their receipt said they would never touch the tire pressure. I could feel the difference right after I started driving. I brought my car back and they just drained the oil, then put the same oil back in. I’ll never return.

Location is OK in terms of stock and customer service. Getting in and out of this location is pretty nasty. All of the connecting roads get gridlocked to the loop. The parking lot itself is downright scary. Cars flying all over the place in every direcion.

Not sure why anyone wants to shop here. their parking lot has trash all over it… their photo machine inside has not worked in the 2 times I have been up there to use it and while leaving the store noticing all the very long lines at check out. Unbelievable!

Believe me I’m not one of those people who just hate on Wal-Mart for no reason. But this Wal-Mart is ridiculous! If I need anything in the middle of the night, i don’t care that this one is 3min away from me. I will always drive to the one on university! Its unorganized, dirty, they employees are rude and very very sketchy. As a woman I don’t feel safe going here alone in the daytime much less at night! The fire lane in front of the building is always packed with cars idling with people waiting for their buddy to come back from shopping. The parking lot is always covered in trash. I can never find what I need, and the few times I attempted to get a few groceries I didn’t even make it to the check out stand because I looked again at my items and saw the milk had already expired, and there was mold on the bottom of my butter box! This is what people think of when you say«people of Wal-Mart». This is NEVER a good place to go with anyone. I feel the need to take a bath after i go there. Save your self effort, time and a tetanus shot by driving to the one on university.

This store is dirty and the workers are rude. Pretty old store but just cause its a older store does not mean they need to treat it like a going out of business buds

Our old WalMart could change and rotate tires. Not this one… car kept pulling to the left after our tires were rotated. We had planned to take the car back, but our dealer noticed the problem at an oil change and fixed it. It was apparently quite obvious to the dealer’s mechanic, but either ignored or not noticed by WalMart.(Neither of those options makes me feel better, though.)

My rating is for piss-poor customer service skills of Wal Mart employees at the Loop 288 facility, starting with the store manager, Charlie Campbell. I had to spend half an hour getting a refund for a produce item I’d just bought instead of the usual five minutes because the customer service girl, who didn’t know the procedures, wanted to give me the refund on a Wal Mart debit card instead of crediting it back to my Discover card. I asked for a manager. Another young girl appeared and started lying to me to cover for her colleague by saying that they’d had this new policy for two years. I asked for the store manager. Michael, the co-manager on duty, appeared and walked right past me without as much as acknowledging me or saying anything. When I complained about this glaring omission, his excuse was that he wanted to get to the cash register so he could process my refund ASAP — like 30 seconds of apologizing would’ve made a big time difference. He, by the way, confirmed that the 1st girl had made a mistake and that the 2nd one wasn’t telling the truth. I wrote to Wal Mart Customer service on their website and specified that the message should be forwarded to the store manager, Charlie Campbell. Several days passed — no word from Charlie the Man. I called him, and he claimed that he’d never received my e-mail. That happens(another ball dropped for Wal Mart’s Customer Service website people), so I asked for his address(which he willingly gave) and e-mailed the original letter promptly. That was a week ago, and still no word from Charlie. No indication that I got the address wrong since the message hasn’t come back. This whole company, including Sam’s, seems to have reached a stage in their development where they think they’re untouchable and that they have God by the cojones. That kind of attitude in individuals and large organizations(a.k.a. hubris) usually appears right before their downfall. Mark my words.

As Walmart’s go, this one is good for me. Fairly clean, although you better shop early if yo I like the selection at this location way better than the University location in Denton. It’s odd they don’t carry the same items. For instance, my home has serious coffee drinkers and we only use half-n-half. I easily buy two half gallons of the Great Value brand a week. I can always reliably find them at this location but the University one NEVER has them in stock! I’m lucky if I can find the teeny pint sized cartons. This location is also convenient for when you have to hit the Kroger across the street for the OTHER items you still can’t find. :p

The workers here are so rude, and make it feel like you’re wasting their time. I was trying to purchase some furniture that they didn’t have on their shelf, and I was asking for assistance just to be sure it was out of stock before heading home. I ended up going to the paint section to find help that wasn’t busy, and decided to ask the guy about prices on paint while I was there, he actually asked me «so are you going to buy anything, or just stand there and ask questions?» He could have just asked«do you need anything else?» Then I had to ask him for help with what I was looking for, which I had to repeat three times because he wasn’t paying attention. I ended up having to go to two different people, they both paged people, and I waited for several minutes, both times, before just calling it quits and heading to the Walmart on Hickory Creek. (Happy ending: I found what I was looking for within the first 5 minutes being at the walmart on Hickory Creek, and the employees even offered to help me carry it out.)

Just stopped at the Denton, TX WalMart from out of town. The Walmart experience was ok. The store was pretty clean, but as usual a long line at check out.

This is a horrible Wal-Mart. I like the one in Plano, much nicer, informative, helpful even when calling the store. I feel like every time I go here for something, they do a horrible half-a** job at it and I’m just disappointed. I went here to get my oil change on my car… they OVER filled my oil tank, they did not clean off the pan once finished… so I thought I was leaking oil for the whole night. I had to drive to ANOTHER Wal-Mart, out of my way, because of it(and I was no where near Wal-Mart in Denton). I was treated with more respect and quite informative there, than at the Wal-mart in Denton. I hate going to Wal-Mart here now. Just too dirty, nothing in stock, customer service is rude. I feel people are just going through the motions of their job there and don’t care about helping at all. I rather go to Target, than Wal-Mart. Affordability? I don’t know. I actually took the time to compare Christmas trees during Christmas, and realized Wal-Mart was more expensive than Home Depot. I got the tree of my dreams(tall/large) at Home Depot at a cheaper price than Wal-Mart. Yeah so now I price compare when I go to Wal-Mart, not to mention quality compare.

They have very cheap items and most always have what I am looking for. I have found that the employees are very rude at times and the place is very filthy. The floors look like they are never mopped. The fruit and meat selections can be down right horrible at times.
