I have heard so much about Pei Wei and have wanted to try it for a while… I finally made it here on Saturday and I was very pleased! I honestly didn’t go in with any expectations. I figured it would be just like Panda Express(which I enjoy). When I got there I was happy that there was a nice bright menu to select from. The lights are a bit dim, so I appreciated the lit up display. I chose the honey seared shrimp with white rice and spring egg rolls! I sat at a table while I waited for my food. I figured it would take a while, but it didn’t. The food came out quickly and it was bagged with the essentials(utensils, menu, napkins, sauce…). Everything was hot and fresh! Perfect amount of honey without being overly sweet. Nice light crisp on shrimp. The rice was a bit dry, but adding sweet Chilli sauce to did the trick. The food exceeded my expectations. I used to work next door to the location and can’t believe that I never went here before now. Well, I will definitely make up for it because I plan to add this to my regular rotation. I love the options they give you for healthier Alternatives. I also want the thank the lady who took my order. She was very patient and helped me decide on my final selection. There were lots of options and they all seemed good, but she helped me narrow it down.

I knew this would be one of my favorite places when I ate the crab Rangoon. No matter what I get for my main meal I always get a side order of this. The teriyaki shrimp over rice is good meal that seems over indulgent but isn’t.

Can’t believe how good the food is here! I’ve visited other locations but this is by far the cleanest one! They always take great care of me. By far the best Asian food in Denton! Thanks Maddy for making my experience perfect at the counter!!!

Why would this place have any less than 4 stars. It’s very predictable and tasty in everyone I’ve been to. Atmosphere is nice and staff are very polite. What gives?

The one in Highland Village is a lot better. Thinking I was going to get the same grade of food I was wrong. The staff seemed very friendly and food came out fast… a little to fast as the noodles did not seem to be done along with the broccoli was not cooked at all. It was as though someone took it out of a fridge placed it in a pot for 30 secs and said good enough. The platter itself was drowned in sauce to the point I ate half of it going through trying to fill up on chicken as I had bitten into a fatty piece that I discarded into a napkin. Safe to say I won’t be back to this location.

The food is heavily sauced with no taste besides sweet and salty. The worst Dan Dan noodles I have ever had in my life!

Saturday evening 8 pm, no crowd. The food, a step above Panda Express, a little bit more healthy, with some verity. Sesame Chicken with brown rice, not the best taste, but was colorful. Colorful too was the male employees sexual HARASSMENT of the not so happy female employees. My fortune cookie said, «If you see something, say something,» but the number two complaint agents law enforcement these days is sexual assault, and I ain’t going up against these fellas to say poop. The world’s going to do what the world’s going to do — — mediocrity or bust — — we can only hope.

Pei Wei used to be my go to, Asian fast food spot but they have taken a turn for the worse withy their new menu and ingredients. The beef LO mein used to be delicious and I got it almost everytime but this last time the noodles looked like cheap spaghetti noodles instead of the proper Asian lo mein variety and the flavor was completely gone! I even asked for an extra side of sauce and it tasted like water. my husband pad Thai was equally terrible. We will never be going back

We love pei Wei and have eaten here for years. Unfortunately something has changed. Restaurant was dirty, floor was slick, food didn’t taste as good and took longer than normal. Need someone to come in and turn around the Denton location.

It’s not bad for asian fast food. Staff is very friendly and the food came out pretty fast. It was our first time in this Pei Wei so I don’t know if the portions are getting smaller or not but I still ended up taking home quite a bit of food. We split an order of shrimp kung pao sushi rolls. They were alright but definitely pre-made. The rolls were cold but the shrimp on top were fresh out of the fryer. Not great but not horrible either. My husband ordered the dan dan noodles and really enjoyed them. He got a small order since we split the sushi but he managed to finish his. I ordered a small chicken pad thai and only ate half of mine. It was alright but it definitely didn’t taste particularly authentic. I’m positive they didn’t use fish sauce in it, which is good if you’re a vegetarian. It was just a little too tart for my liking. All in all, it’s a good place to stop if you’re in need of a quick, decent meal but don’t expect anything fancy or authentic.

This is our go to restaurant. Highly consistent, very helpful and professional staff, and the management is over eager to please. I once saw a manager bring a man an egg roll when he though one came with his meal. When the manager offered to bring him one for free, the man said not to worry about it, and then he brought one anyway. I’ve ordered my food wrong and realized it when it was delivered and they’ve fixed it for me. It is clean and friendly and we are never disappointed,

Hadn’t been to Pei Wei in a long time. Went in and things have changed. No more are the days of just ordering a dish off the menu, they have gone the route of customizing orders. I’m not a fan of this. They have also jumped on the sushi bandwagon which is a joke if you know anything about sushi. My meal was disappointing. There was literally four pieces of chicken(think nugget sized) on my plate with noodles and veg. Now, I’m a proponent of portioned eating, but I do not expect that from a $ 12.00 meal. Oddly enough it’s the high end places that we expect portion control with. Needless to say, I doubt I’ll be going back to Pei Wei. Sad too. I loved Dan Dan noodles.

Very good for our first time. Next time I’ll ask for not so much vegetables. Other than that, honest management when it came to suggestions and advice about items on the menu. Awesome smell when you open the doors, so good.

Do the Thai Dynamite with noodles. You can’t go wrong. I just wish they had grilled items instead of everything being fried.

I am not a big Chinese food fan. Never have been. You can blame that on my father. He loves it so much that while we were growing up, every other Sunday was Chinese food restaurant time. Granted in New Jersey, there’s plenty of places to choose from and they are all usually pretty decent. Very rare to find bad Chinese food in the New York/New Jersey area being that the largest concentration of Chinese people outside of China, is in the NY/NJ area. But this is Texas. Totally different ball of wax. For many years I limited my Chinese food to one time a year. Christmas day. Why? Well because up north, those are the only places that are open on Christmas day. At least while I was growing up. That and movie theaters. So I kept that tradition going for awhile. A couple of years ago, while living in Carrollton, I decided to try some of the local restaurants in Addison and in Carrollton. For some odd reason I craved it. The local places weren’t half bad and I started to eat Chinese food again. And this now brings me to Pei Wei. I had been to this location a few times, prior to being on Unilocal and have been to the location in Addison.(one of those places I tried years ago) The food here is good, I haven’t had a bad meal, but I also haven’t had one that has knocked it out of the park either. I had Dan Dan noodles on this occasion and they are pretty good. Fresh cucumbers, sprouts, noodles, minced chicken and a spicy brown sauce. I like spicy, and restaurants never make it hot enough for me(not even Thai places), so I always add some extra kick to it. The food was good, great textures, but it could have used another crunchy element besides the cukes. It became a little one dimentional. But there was more than enough food and I’d still patronize them again. Between my last visit over a year ago and now, they added those new Coca-Cola machines that dispense over 40 – 50 drinks. Pretty cool, also I had never seen black ones, just the traditional red Coke machine. Plenty of options even for someone like myself who doesn’t drink carbonated beverages. All and all, a good place to go back to when I have the time… Enjoy.
