4050 Mesa drive Denton, Tx 07÷29÷15 Our stay started with dirty linen on bed, front desk did take care of. However bathroom door was not lined up with frame so could not shut. Tiles were coming up in front of toilet on floor, seemed to be missing the grout that holds them in place . 100s of cigarette butts in front lot, wife and I were somewhat concerned as large portion of the tiles on roof were missing where you could actually see the plywood. Rain would definitely drain into attic. When I booked on line it showed a four star hotel. Far from the truth

DONOTSTAYHERE! The hotel looks fine from the outside and it is decorated ok but don’t look too hard. My daugher slept on the pullout sofa … that we had to make ourselves. We called the front desk for sheets. They were brought up promptly … a fitted sheet and a flat sheet; no pillow or blanket. The fitted sheet had some kind of blue stain all over it so we went it back. The flat sheet also had stains and had a large tear in it. Once we got settled in, we went to the vending machine to get a drink. 2 out of the 3 vending machines wouldn’t accept money. We finally got drinks and tried to watch tv. The tv remote didn’t work properly so the front desk clerk brought 2 more for us to try. He was not at all surprised that we were experiencing difficulties. When my husband and I went to bed we found brown stains in our bed. We just put a towel down because we were tired of messing with the front desk. We slept great once we got the temperature right in the room(there is a wall thermostat, but it isn’t connected; we used the cheap wall unit). When I got in the shower the following morning, there were BLOODSPLATTERONTHEINSIDEOFTHESHOWERCURTAIN. AND the towel was dirty with what looked to be blood and makeup. Absolutely disgusting. We went to breakfast, where the seats and floors were dirty, 6 – 7 of the tables had napkins stuck under them to prevent wobbling, and the employees were too busy chit-chatting to be helpful. We found the same to be true with the hosuekeepers. At checkout, as we were walking to the front desk, we saw 2 housekeeprs chillin’ in one of the rooms! One was sitting in a chair talking to the other who was lounging on the bed. We reporting everything to the front desk and were told that the Manager would be contacting us. We never heard from the Manager. Save yourself the trouble and the distress … DONOTSTAYHERE! The hotel was not clean.

First really bad experience I’ve had at a Comfort. Everything was ok until 4 am when we were awoken by an annoying tapping clicking sound coming from the window 2 feet from our heads. Got up to check it out and saw that there was water leaking from the drywall near the top of the window. It was leaking both inside and outside the window causing the dripping tapping sound. It was not raining so I assumed it was coming from the AC unit in the room above us. We called downstairs to say we wanted to move to another room to go back to sleep. Said he’d call us right back. 10 minutes later no call. Went downstairs and he said we’d have to move all our stuff. We said we weren’t doing that we just wanted a key to a nearby room to use the bed. He finally agreed and we got a new room 4 doors down. He also agreed our room would be comped. Next morning a guy named RJ was at desk and he said the overnight guy had no authority to comp our room and that he would have to check with GM named Kim Patel to tell her what happened to see if we’d get any discount but he assured me it would not be full comp. Then he said they were not responsible to acts of nature like rain. That’s when the conversation escalated. I told him there was no rain at the time and that the water was leaking both inside and outside the room. He even confirmed that he’d been to the room and seen the leak inside but kept inferring it was caused by the rain which at 4 am there was none. He said he’d talked to GM and that she would call me. I asked when she would be in and he said he didn’t know. This was a Wednesday morning at 10 am. Still have not gotten a call. My complaint is not with how they handled the leak but how RJ kept saying it was caused by nature and trying to cover their butts when it was obviously poor maintenance. You go to hotels for a good nights sleep and when that’s interrupted because you have to change rooms due to water leaking in the room I think you deserve better treatment.
