Bandera’s Market & Deli

If you want a fantastic sandwich, go to Bandera’s. The food is fantastic, the people are friendly, you won’t be disappointed!

The people who work here seemed very nice but I would not say that this is that good of an Italian Market & Deli. I think the reason people have given it good ratings is because there aren’t any other Italian Markets on the Cape so they don’t have any other point of comparison. If Porcaro’s was located in New York or Philadelphia where there are a lot of great, authentic Italian Markets, they would not survive. Their meatball sub was okay, the Italian sauce was acidic and runny. They use Dietz and Watson deli meats in their Italian hoagies; Dietz and Watson is a good enough brand of deli meats if you’re going to use it for your kids’ school lunch sandwiches but not good enough for a true Italian hoagie, D & W Italian meats such as the prosciutto and capacola are not ones that any Italian would ever eat. They also don’t have other foods that are always sold in a true Italian market such as an olive bar, homemade mozzarella and tomato salad, etc.

New owners but they have kept mostly everything the same. Now serving breakfast sandwiches and iced coffee! Prices have even seemed to drop a little. Still have the same subs, under different names. Still a go-​to lunch/​sandwich shop. Hooked on the Italian subs right now!

Now, if only the people from the Sand Dollar Bar WOULD NOT park in front of this business NOR smoke their NASTY cigarettes in front, all would be okay in the world! (Yes, there are signs, but we gather the people don’t care) :(

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! It’s a great place to grab a sandwich and snacks for a day at the beach. Their sandwichs are sooo good. The waldorf-​type chicken salad is my personal favorite. The bread is always fresh and delcious. The hot subs are amazing as well and they defintely don’t skimp out on the serving size. It’s family run and the staff is so so nice and friendly! They have a cute little bakery section in the back as well which should not be skipped.
