We have loved this place since it was garcias back in the 90’s. The chips, salsa, and queso are amazing. I always eat too many chips, and have to get most of my dinner to go. The steak fajita nachos are my fave. They are HUGE! I eat a full order for 3 days at least. Love the fajitas too. They are brought out hot and sizzling. Hubby always gets the cheese enchiladas. He refuses to eat them anywhere else. My mother always has chicken quesadillas. She compares every quesadilla to these. The only downside is if Kents is closed, or we are out of town, we have to hear her gripe about how her quesadilla doesn’t compare to Kents. I could eat here every day. I do wish they had longer opening hours and days.

Best rellenos in the world! Every thing else is pretty much average. They’re the only thing worth the price, but they are definitely worth it.

My husband and I took my grandfather here for his bday. As we’re walking in I get splashed from water leaking from the ceiling, so I’m already annoyed. Then we get a waitress who takes our drink orders then never brings them, my husband tells the waitress that it’s my grandfather’s bday. Then we’re waiting for our drinks and a different waitress comes and takes our drink orders again. My husband once again tells her it’s a bday and to give us the check. We got chips and queso before we even got drinks! Fina she takes our food order and even though the place is pretty dead it takes over 30 min to get our food. And every time she handed me anything she was on the opposite side of the table. She would lean over the entire table to hand me my food and drink. That made me mad. The food was very good though. And even though we told two separate waitresses multiple times, she still didn’t hand us the ticket. And after we had paid and had put our stuff in to go boxes they sang happy bday. I was supremely disappointed in this place and will never go back.

I really loved Garcias when they were in Denison. And I’m so happy that Kent opened this place back up. Their queso is truly delicious and one of a kind. Their chicken fajita nachos are singled out on each chip instead of a pile on like most mexican restaurants in the area. My favorite dish here though, is the chicken fajita chimichanga, with queso and sour crème sauce. Food is always hot and served fast. Their salsa is good, but a little too much like Pace to me. But overall a great texmex place.

Fast service during the lunch rush. Nice roomy atmosphere. Food was seasoned well and it arrived hot. The owner was moving around the room checking on everyone and made sure the food was up to par. Beef tacos are stuffed full of meat and the chicken enchilada was good too. Standard rice and beans. Salsa was good.

Went there for the first and last time today. Food was not well seasoned. Prices were on the high side for most dishes. Ate very little and relayed my displeasure to wait staff. No compensation was offered.

A definite hometown favorite, as my family and I have been eating here since I was a youngin’. This is the third installment of what was once Garcia’s. It’s good, but not as good as it was the first go-round(in the old El Chico on Austin Avenue/Business 75). With that said, everything on the menu is fresh and tasty. Enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, fajitas… you’re good with any of those. And the chips and salsa? They’re a must! Great for to-go orders, too!

Great margaritas, the quesadillas, enchiladas, and most of the menu are great — the beef fajitas tasted roasted, not grilled but overall a very good family meal
