My wife and I have been here several times. A few times for dinner and once for breakfast. Dinner is not bad. Especially the Greek specials. Plenty of food. Breakfast specials are a good value. The menu clearly states that the specials prices are for cash. No credit card. Service is mediocre at best. The place needs a good makeover. Restrooms are gross. Carpets are dirty. Tables, chairs and booths are worn. Too many other choices out there to pick from. Feb 14 update I give every place a 2nd chance. It was worse than the first visit. Dirtier looking than ever. Poor service. Green beans with dinner were definitely out of a can. Large portions of just mediocre food.

Food is pretty decent, bread is amazing. Soups are good. Specials come with a lot of choices and dessert. Waitress was amazing. Owner was disgustingly rude. The way he talked to the customers and my family makes me wonder what keeps the place busy. Probably the chef and the wait staff. I heard the owner curse multiple times to customers and were even rude to waitstaff. If I can hear you or observe these behaviors then you are out of line and inappropriate. I hate that an owner like that is making money he doesn’t deserve. At least the waitress and the bread made my visit worth it.

Went to the Odyssey Diner for breakfast with the family. Typical breakfast items, but the Challah French Toast was great. Service was fine, with friendly waitresses. However, they charge and extra 50 cents per person for ordering a «breakfast special in the morning» and then using a credit card to pay. Of course this is not disclosed until we tried to pay with a credit card. Completely ruined a good breakfast. I doubt we will be back.

the hamburgers were good… waitress was nice. shrimp dish was beyond disgusting, as was the managers attitude about it. shrimp were raw and we sent it back to get a hamburger instead. manager wanted to charge us for the shrimp, because he said my wife ate three of them… wrong, she gagged out the second one and spit it in her napkin, go look in the napkin dummy… he had the nerve to count the shrimp. I told him to call the cops, because we are not paying for the shrimp. asked for the owner, not there, but I guess the genius called the boss and told him to fix the check… DONOTGOTOTHISDUMP. One of the worst restaurant or breakfast experiences I have ever had. In a party of around 12, more than half of the orders came out wrong, and several more were missing parts of the order. My French toast was completely uncooked in the center. Bacon was scorched. Half the table was never brought or offered water. The food took an eternity to arrive. Avoid this place!

I’m not sure how lunch is but breakfast is great. Good food at half the price of all the other bagel joints in town. Kids were happy. Giant plate of pancakes with bacon and milk for $ 3.99.

It looks dirty inside but in an old, outdated way. The food was excellent and prices very reasonable. The portions are very generous. Our menus were stained and ripped. No big deal. No roaches ran past me so that’s a major plus. We unfortunately had a rude waiter but the tasty food and good prices make up for it. I think I will dine here again.

Great location, parking and CHEEEP! Challah(2-dip) French Toast, oy! Came with Mom –’cause I’m a wonderful son, had the whole place to ourselves and opened the laptop and booked all the family summer travel. Honestly; pay cash, tip well and be friendly and cheerful. Everybody wins :-)

Food & service at your typical Greek diner quality. At about 11 half past waiter decides the breakfast menus on table are no longer applicable. Lunch menu with same breakfast items about $ 2 more but incl soup.

I can’t tell you about the food. But the service is below poor. After 25 minutes waiting for my beverage and salads we walked out. I attempted to talk to the manger /cashier but he was too busy. I have gone to this restaurant for a number of years. Each year it has gotten worse. I am well done, Bye

The locals love this place! My grandfather comes here at least once a month when he is down for the season. I have eaten here twice in the past five years while visiting my grandfather. The proportions are big, but the quality is not there. You do get a lot of options for sides and desserts. The servers may not be up to par, keep in mind: they have to deal with a lot when it comes to their regulars(bad tips, high demands, etc).

This may be the cheapest decent breakfast place I’ve ever been to. Just stumbled across it on the way to Watkodahatchee Wetlands(just a block or so away). When is the last time you’ve gotten a huge omelette with hashbrowns and toast for $ 4? Or the 2−2−2(2 of everything breakfast related basically) for around $ 6. Service was absolutely fine– not sure if thats the norm here but it was true for me. Sure, its mostly all carb laden breakfast items but they have tempting specials like Challah Mango or Apricot French Toast with real bits of fruit in there! Sure, its all seniors and the walker-bound crowd dining here and heavily Jewish-centric but does that matter? No. And I’d happily come back again.

We hadn’t been to the Odyssey Diner in several years. My 95 year old uncle recommended it since it had been newly decorated. Unfortunately that was the only positive as the food and service were awful. The soup was cold and was taken away to be reheated, but the surly waiter forgot to bring it back. The matzo ball in the chicken soup was tasteless as were the noodles and broth. My uncle’s fish was to quote him, «terrible». My veal francaise was swimming in a gelatinous lemon sauce. The apple strudel dessert bore no resemblance to anything ever served in the entire history of Vienna. The noise level was high, mainly because of the ongoing arguments in Creole coming from the kitchen. The Odyssey is apparently popular with the senior crowd which values quantity over quality and several patrons were seen carrying out styrofoam boxes of leftovers to be eaten at some future time. The question is why?

1 star is generous. My grandparents brought us here, very excited for us to eat here. The only good thing is that you get a good amount of food. Soup or Salad, entrée and dessert. But the food is awful, the service was horrendous. We were one of a few tables in the place, and we could not get menus. Then getting additional attention was difficult, and the server didn’t even know the menu. If visiting grandparents, avoid this place if possible.

This is a great spot for people whose taste buds are no longer functioning. Catering to the retired population of the Delray Beach area, the menu is large and includes Greek, Jewish and New England(sounding) seafood dishes. Seven of us visited and only the most senior among us — those who equate the number of included courses with«value» seemed to enjoy it. The service was OK. The meat was over-cooked and oversauced, the seafood defrosted long ago and dry and the deserts simply inedible. The price was, however, right. Full(three course) for $ 11 — $ 14. If you can get it all into your body, you may leave full but with an unsettled stomach. There are many, many better alternatives in this area for these prices. Almost any one of them would be preferable. The canned veggies were of extraordinary disgustingness.

This is my father’s most frequented diner when I visit him. The food is good but cannot make up for the bad service. Wait staff is inattentive to customers and look jaded at times, bus staff attempts to help but cannot make up for the poor waiters. When you can see into the kitchen, it looks dirty and so do the floors in the dining area.

I took my daughter here on a whim because we wanted to have a food adventure and try someplace new. It was okay, but not worth the 20 + minute drive it took us from Wellington. I had split pea soup to start. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t have a whole lot of flavor. The free bread basket was a nice touch, and the bread tasted fresh and was really good. My daughter got a kids grilled cheese sandwich, which looked like the cheese wasn’t fully melted but she ate it and seemed to like it. I ordred the gyros platter. I love gyros and these didn’t disappoint, but they weren’t the best I’ve ever had(those are at Lester’s Diner). The tsatziki(sp?) was just ok, again not the best I’ve had. The pita tasted fresh. The greek salad it came with wasn’t so great. Not horrible but they could’ve done a better job. Overall, if I were in the area, I’d probably stop by and give them another chance but no more adventures and long drives just to go there.

This is my grandparents’ hangout, so whenever I’m in town we go here at least once or twice. I’ve had both breakfast and lunch and I’ve found that everything tastes fresh and the prices can’t be beat. The matzoh ball soup is definitely a stand out.
