Great location on the strip. A bit hot at the bar sonce its an open air establishment. Good Happy Hour deals, and always pretty decent food. Always a fun enviornment

Johnnie Brown’s isn’t bad. Any place that has different types of sauces to put on wings always intrigues me… because I like wings. They’re certainly solid, and they offer a cool island vibe even if the beach is a mile further east, although it does come off a little touristy — which is not my thing. It’s not a bad place, but if you’re looking for some culinary experience, then this is not it. This is where you go for wings and maybe some beers — wasn’t too fond of their cocktails. At the end of the day, there’s not much to set them apart when you can just as well go to Bru’s Room across the train tracks for wings and beer. To me, they’re both the same, just depends whether you want to watch sports — Bru’s, or listen to live music, JB’s.

Came here with my brother one Saturday night about 2 months ago. Great dive bar in Delray Beach to grab a cold one and enjoy some live music. Highly recommend.

Bartenders and wait staff can be hit or miss, but I normally find them pretty darn good considering the place is normally jammed and they’re working their butts off. Good prices, great location, open air bar with good local music nearly every night. This has been described as a dive bar and that’s hard to argue, usually a lot of heavy drinking patrons having fun. So popular the crowd spills out onto the sidewalks. Don’t go for a fine meal or attentive service or a complete wine list, this place is for drinks or beer, ½ price shots when a train goes by, be ready to have fun or don’t go.

Cockroaches. Seriously nasty. Crawling on my food. If I could give this place negative reviews I would. On top of that, the bartender(blonde hair in pony tail) was nasty she verbally abused me and my boyfriend. Refused service to two of my friends from NY who are both 28. Felt like age discrimination considering majority of the clientele is 60+. She was rude to us and when we asked for the manager she ran away and sent the bouncer to us instead. We asked the bouncer to then give us the manager. He refused as well. The bouncer was equally as rude and beyond ignorant. Don’t think he could even spell bouncer if he tried 3 times. Put his hands on my boyfriend as well. To be clear, I’m a CPA and my boyfriend is a NY and FLA double bar certified lawyer. We certainly are never treated this way. Really bad considering how many options we have in Delray. Go here to listen to the music on the street but DONOTGOIN.

This bar was great! Except for the pink haired employee with the snakebites– she was insanely rude and should probably find a new job. Otherwise I would strongly recommend checking out Elvis Night it was awesome!

Great, fun bar on Atlantic to come for bands and drinks. Bands are every night and the place is jumping. Last night a band named the flyers was there and they were awesome!

This is a great corner bar. The lack of a 5th star is not because they aren’t awesome. It just isn’t that kind of place. Service was awesome and friendly. Drinks were good. Had margarita’s and a Dark and Stormy. Made very well. No mixes in the margaritas. Made proper. The appetizers were really good. Steak kabobs, parrot fries with truffle parmesan and the Coco Loco shrimp. I forget the name. Would definitely pop in again.

Mr. G and I enjoyed a great St. Party’s day evening here. While there were no specials for the holiday, we still had great discounted beer for HH, even appreciated the waitress telling us the taps weren’t pouring well so we ended up with bottles instead. He got the boneless wings with Mango Sriracha sauce and I added shrimp to the Caesar salad. Not happy that I got 4 shrimp for an additional $ 7, but it was all tasty. Great service and great spot when in this part of Delray Beach!

My friend and I went to eat in the restaurant called Vic ’ s & Angelo. After that great restaurant, we ventured to Johnnie Browns. A very open bar, and restaurant. Also a very good live band was playing there. People were outside on the sidewalk, and listening to the music. As well as we were also. We danced, for our very first time on our kind of blind date. The restaurant will be seeing us again, because we had a great time there.

Johnnie Brown’s is a fun dive bar with live music! When I came, the band played a mix of 80s and 90s rock. They definitely draw a crowd with the live music and open air room. People on the sidewalk were gathering to listen also. The beer selection was nothing but average, and the wine list was tiny with overpriced wine(a glass of Cavit Pinot Grigio was $ 6.50…when the bottle can be purchased for $ 8). There were lots of really drunk people that should have been cut off and were still being served. However, the live music with the open air room make it a place worth visiting.

We were in Delray on business and every night ended up at Johnnie Browns. They have live music every night and it was a fun atmosphere. Whatever you do, Santi is the bartender to see. His drinks are very consistent and he does a great job. Elvis night was the best as the crowd was really into the music. The impersonator did a great job. The second night was Rod Stewart night. You would think that he was the real person. The people that I were with told me that he had been there forever. The only downfall was that«Rod» kept yelling at the crowd and many times told people to leave if they didn’t like it. If I was the owner, I would have yanked him off the stage. All in all this is a fun place to hang out.

Been there twice. The first experience was nice, food was good, so was service. Went a second time, Saturday afternoon. Sat down at the bar. Watched the bar tender give drinks/food to a family sitting next to us, then made drinks for 2 men sitting on the other side. She Conversed with them about a bar they should go to, «To see a hot bartender» this conversation the bartender continued with these two men were more important than serving my boyfriend and I sitting at the bar directly in front of her. After listening to their conversation about 5 minutes and not greeted, we got up and left. Will not return.

In one lunch, we encountered an hour long wait for food, a server who COMPLETELY disappeared, 5 of 6 meals being sent back, a manager who threatened to call the police because we did not want to give a tip, and a bartender who called a member of our party a «f***ing b****». WHAT?! What kind of business are you running? This was not an isolated incident, either. I have been to the bar a few times at night and have seen bartenders berate customers for no apparent reason and flat out ignore anyone under 30 trying to get a drink. Mediocre food accompanied by the most horrific, offensive staff I have ever seen in my life. I am not usually one to complain about service, but this was absolutely beyond. We will never, ever return.

Wings and spinach dip are great. It’s a simple place with a simple menu. They have live music every night. Don’t expect much. Most people are there for the music. Also you get a free shot every time a train passes. They have a large drink menu. The crowd is usually older and sometimes biker predominant. Depending the band the crowd can be so big it extends to the sidewalk and street. It can be fun to dance there when the band is good. They have several TV’s for sports. However you can’t hear the sound. It’s pretty hot in this open air bar, they fans all over. Dress appropriately

Was here with my son Friday, Aug 14th. Highway Run was the name of the band. We both had Pain Killers to drink(very good, on the sweet side *they forgot the nutmeg in ours). We shared Conch Fritters which were shaped like balls, had creamy consistency like a good crab cake(delicious but spicy) & a Classic Burger with Johnnie fries and a side of the«soon to be famous baked beans». Burger was fantastic and huge… great for sharing. they even cut it in half for us. The fries were average but those beans really were AMAZING. Our waitress did a fantastic job. Food and drinks came in a timely manner. The band played 80’s cover music and did a good job of it. In addition to that show we also got to watch«wild cougars on the hunt». Shake it grannies!

Went in Thursday night for a few drinks. Didn’t partake in the food. I can say the service was good, beer was fresh, live entertainment was entertaining and it was honestly the only place on Atlantic Ave that had patrons my only filling the place but overflowing onto the sidewalk/street. I’ll probably go back.

Absolutely love this place, somehow we always end up here no matter where we begin in Delray. Most likely due to the ½ price shots when the train goes by, including the SHOTSKI!(4 shots on a ski so 4 people can take them at once — buyer’s shot is free so it’s a 4 for 3 deal). And obviously the live music is always a hit, they get great bands! It usually gets a good, fun crowd on nice nights with the live music. I usually come here after dinner since they play music pretty late, but I’ve been a few times for dinner. It’s your typical bar food but everything is really good, and they definitely cater to food allergies and things like that. All the way staff is very friendly! As always, I will be returning without a doubt. We had such an amazing time the other night!
