Service is slow. Bugs flying around restaurant. Rice was way overcooked. I’m sure there’s much better places to go in Delray. Bug landed in my mother’s food and the wasn’t even an apology from our waitor.

I need to come back here. Frequently. The staff made us feel welcome, the menu had something for everyone in our party, and we knew we could come here dressed however we wanted. The place was not too loud, clean, friendly, and even relaxing at times. The Pad Thai was delicious, the Miso soup had roasted onion in it for a tasty change, and the Jasmine tea was incredible. I will be back, because this place has a lot more to offer.

Food was delicious but the service was lacking– We didn’t receive two of our appetizers until half an hour after already waiting half an hour for our main entrees.

Had dinner here on a very busy Saturday night. The wait was reasonable, just about 5 minutes for a table of 4. Mr. G and I ordered the shrimp and Gorgonzola roll and the panang beef curry. The food arrived relatively quickly and the roll was a huge 10 piecer. We asked for the curry to be spicy, but it was just hotter than mild. Everything was incredibly flavorful, delivered efficiently, and our waitress was great at getting us anything we asked for. Would visit this reasonably priced establishment if we were in town again.

I liked this place. I was down in Florida for the weekend with a friend, and we went here after a movie on Saturday night. It was around 9pm and the place wasn’t too crowded. We asked to sit outside and they obliged. We had pretty attentive service. A waitress came by pretty quick to take our order. We put in our drink and appetizer order, and asked her to come back while we figured out what else we wanted. I settled on two cucumber wrapped sushi rolls, and my friend got the japango special fried rice and a cucumber roll. Everything came out pretty quick. We got an order of calamari to start. I thought it was really good, and not to oily/greasy. My friend thought it was too spicy, so maybe beware if you have a low tolerance for spice. Then shortly after that, the rest of our food came. My rolls were huge! There were 5 of each, but then were stuffed! I thought they were good, and the fish was fresh. I got the salmon and krab wrap and the tri color wrap, both were good, but I think the salmon and krab was my favorite. I didn’t try any of my friend’s food, because I was so full, but she seemed to enjoy it. I probably have a skewed view of price, living in NYC, but I thought this meal was pretty inexpensive. A beer, soda, app, 3 sushi rolls and fried rice cost total of ~$ 60. I don’t know the next time I’ll be down in Florida, or if I would seek this place out, but overall it was good food and good service.

This was a nice spot for a late dinner and a couple of beers. I ordered the Tofu Steak, triangles of flash fried tofu that put those of my neighborhood Thai place to shame. I will be ordering this at Japango again to be sure. The sushi was also fresh and well presented.

After movie, me and my friends went here for dinner. It sucked. We ordered a lobster dinner, the dish comes with a bowl of rice crispy noodles and lobster tails. Sounds great right? Except it is not!!! 1. The sauce is too salty even with the rice. 2. The lobster has sand in it!!! 3. The meat is so stuck in the shell it literally hurt my hands trying to get those meat out!!! It’s like just having bad food isn’t enough the waiter here is irresponsible after waiting for ten mins he comes up ask what we’d like and leave after 15 mins he comes back asking us what did we ordered !!! Wtf we repeated. And finally one of my friends got the wrong dish??? What a bummer!!! So if you are thinking of coming here, think again!!!

I like this Japango. Service is good but can be slow when they get busy. They have some unique rolls worth trying. They frequently have groupons and city book coupons to help prices. The portions are generous with nicely sized rolls. The seabass roll is very good but it has varied in taste from visit to visit. The different shrimp and lobster rolls are good. The quarter pound shrimp roll is good and a lot of food. I like the marketplace and this is a safe sushi spot in the area.

This restaurant is located in the mall on the corner of Lyons and Atlantic and extremely convenient for pre– or post-movie. We were seeing the 700 show and reserved a table for 530. The menu is quite large with pan-Asian cuisine, from Pad Thai to Curries to sushi, plus a few items that added other influences. For my appetizer I ordered the tuna pizza and the chicken Pad Thai for my entrée, described on the menu as chopped tuna, shallots, avocado and veggies on top of crispy tortilla with wasabi cream, eel sauce and wasabi tobiko. The combination had decent flavor, nothing to write home about but a middle of the road combination. To call the crust a crispy tortilla is a stretch, it was more the bottom half of a foccacia. For my entrée I ordered the Pad Thai; rice noodles stir fried with chicken, peanuts, bean sprouts and egg in a sweet, tangy sauce. When it arrived it floored me with its size. There was enough for two, possibly three people to share. There was more than a pound of noodles smothered in a sauce that is best described as borderline awful. The flavor was much too sweet and the texture was grainy. The was a teaspoon of crumbled peanuts on top of the mountain of noodles. This was more quantity than quality. I tasted one of my companion’s maki, this too was borderline horrible. The sushi rice was flavorless, no vinegar at all and the fish was not much better. Service was exceptionally friendly, almost as if they understood the low prices reflected the«get what you pay for» theory. Overall, I would definitely take a pass on Japango, buy a bigger bucket of popcorn in the theatre.

Come on with the rice, sushi is not sushi when the rolls are mostly rice, the location good especially when your choices are few for sushi in this area

The food is usually good but the service is literally some of the worst ive ever seen in my life. Takes them 45 minutes to get the water and take your order. If you dont want to have an all-night mediocore dinner event, dont come here.

Hands down this and the location in Boca… perhaps the best sushi I’ve ever had. Best friend discovered it and we went together… so glad she did. I have had the pleasure of visiting twice and I’m always looking for a chance to return. Their vegetarian and vegan rolls especially are creative, mouthwatering, and completely compatible in flavor and texture to traditional sushi. Highly, highly reccomend!

It’s really too bad that the service is consistently terrible in this place. Four times is four times too many to screw up what would be a good decent restaurant. Disappointed once more.

We LOVE Japango in Parkland, so decided to try this branch as we were meeting friends farther North. Food: adequate at best Service: awful. Awful. «sir, there’s avocado on my roll… I requested no avocado» server: «No you didn’t»(just one example). I should add we were there early, the place was nearly empty, so no excuse for slow service, bad service, empty water glasses for over 10 minutes, and so on. We won’t be back.

One Saturday afternoon at around 3pm, my husband and I decided to try this Delray location as the Boca location has different hours. We love the Boca location and have dined there twice. The restaurant was empty of customers. Ok, we were seated and ordered a soda and water. My husband requested for smoked salmon sushi and was ensured that it will be cooked fish while I asked for the bento box with chicken and miso soup as an appetizer. The miso soup was pretty good. They brought out the platters… his salmon was the raw/cured kind– but not COOKED as he was informed. My Bento Box was DIRTY. There were black and water stains in it along with a dead mosquito. I hesitated to eat off the bento box. I mean dude, the restaurant was empty… they could have taken the time to inspect the plates and whatever else before serving it to us. The waiter came over and he seemed to KNOW that everything was dirty and still served us dirty plates? He was very unenthusiastic and gave off the vibe that he hated working there. My husband was also hesitant to eat his raw sushi after having seen my dirty plates because if they’re dirty back there, there’s no knowing if the sushi is contaminated. We left. Please. Get your shit together and CLEANEVERYTHING before you serve food on it to your paying customers. Thank god that we didn’t pay a cent!

I came here last night for my sister’s birthday dinner. She said that I was going to love the menu because they had a section for vegan rolls. She was right! At most sushi and Japanese restaurants all I can ever order is the same thing. Usually they offer the standard cucumber or veggie roll. This place offers more exciting variations on veggie rolls. The roll that I had included tempeh! It was delicious, I am excited to go back and try the roll with tofu and they also have one with soy mozzarella. I also ordered a seaweed salad which was very fresh. The miso soup was flavorful and delicious. I would highly recommend them!

Two Saturdays ago, my boyfriend and I decided to see a movie. When we got out of the movie, it was about 6 p.m. We were hungry and on a search for some dinner. To the right was a beer place that did not serve food, and to our left was Japango. We decided to check out Japango. We walked in, and the staff greeted us immediately. There was no wait, and we were seated right away. We sat down at the table and looked over the menu. When we eat in a Japanese restaurant, we usually order edamame. However, it was not on the menu. We asked the waiter, and they did have it. After we ordered it, it arrived a few minutes later. Now, let me get to the best part. I was going through the menu, and trying to figure out what to order. My boyfriend pointed out in the back of the menu there was vegan roll section. This is when Japango stole my heart. I ended up ordering the Ultimate Vegan Roll. It was a large roll that was filled with arugula, cucumber, mango, potato gnocchi and a thin slice of avocado on top. It also had some sweet soy syrup reduction sauce lightly over it. This roll was filling and delicious. Overall, the experience here was great. The staff was quick and friendly. The food was amazing. If you are vegetarian or vegan, this place is really simple to find something to eat.
