Frankly, we have found most Chinese restaurants in the Boynton Beach, Del Ray area to be mediocre at best. They are not up to the standards of NY or even Wash DC where I lived. Thus, when someone suggested that we try Beijing Palace, we jumped at the chance especially since it got a 4 star review from Unilocal. We wanted to order a number of things in order to give them a fair review. Thus, we order spare ribs, soup, Kung Pao Chicken, Mooshu vegetables and Chicken with hot garlic sauce and an egg roll. First for the positives: They started us out with the best soup noodles that I have ever had. They were fabulous, which raised our hopes about this place. We then had spare ribs, which were well done and very tasty. Our soup was great as was out egg roll We figured that we finally found a decent restaurant in our area. Sadly, we were grossly mistaken! The Kung Pao chicken was awful! In fact, after one taste, we left it in the restaurant. It wasn’t even worth taking it home. Kung Pao chicken should be a bit spicy and somewhat crisp. This had no kick whatsoever and was very mushy and tasteless. The vegetable Moo Shu dish was even worse. I don’t know how anyone could destroy a Moo Shu dish, but they did it. I don’t even think my dog would have eaten it, and my dog isn’t discriminating. My wife’s chicken with hot garlic sauce was a bit better but still very mediocre at best. Finally they served a nice ice cream dessert. Bottom line: At least for the dishes that we got, I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. It certainly doesn’t meet any of the standards set by the better Chinese restaurants in the North East. Trust me on this: It doesn’t deserve anywhere near the four star review that it has. The owner must have their kids post positive reviews. It is at best a 2 star restaurant, and I am being nice at that.

We are still wondering why we attempted to eat here after being seated next to a filthy table of garbage, baby wipes and a TRAININGPOTTY! The food was just as bad as the atmosphere. The restaurant happened to be full, mostly with elderly patrons in their 80s, which doesn’t bother me as long as the food is good. All of the food tasted bland and stale. The waitress didn’t seem to question why we didn’t eat most of the food and didn’t want to take it home. This place is cheap with large portions but I don’t understand how this place could possibly pass health inspections.

Yes the waitress was very nice, but the food was just passable. I had hot and sour soup that was too sweet. And, the sauce in the scrimp dish was so sweet, which it wasn’t supposed to be. The tea and dessert were good! It’s great but f you like a lot of food for $ 10.99, but not for me. Sorry, but I’m not coming back.

Fast, pleasant service. The best part is the food. For 10.99 you get a choice of spring roll, egg roll, or wings; aswell as a choice of rice or soup, and finally a full meal. The beef lo me in is delicious aswell as any of the shrimp meals. This is a hole in the wall place but it is A+ I suggest this place to everyone who’s looking for a great meal at a low cost!

I was here to get some take out, its just like any other chinese take out one of the better ones since I have not had a bad experience with over oily or anything. But if I was to compare I wouldn’t have anything to say good or bad about the place. Decent prices and decent food, and nice people.

We call this our«hole in the wall» Chinese restaurant as it’s tucked back into the corner of one of the billion shopping malls off Powerline/Jog Road. This is reliable Cantonese style New York Chinese joint, family owned and run. The wall of baby and kid photos behind the cashier has grown over the decade we’ve come here. They put the fried wonton crisps on the table, old school cool. The crowd tends to look old enough to be the original followers of Moses across the desert but you work up a serious Chinese food jones after 40 years of Matzoh(not the roasted Matzoh again!) Far better than that Hunan dump over on Linton in the business park full of doctor’s offices, which should apologize to the province for besmirching their good name, and it even trumps the hipster McChinese like Pei Wei, Panda Express and those scary places at the malls. If you like spicy, make sure that they add heat. They cater to a crowd that thinks cinnamon chewing gum is spicy. They have several specials on the board each day. The fish ones are usually pretty awesome. Great for take-out, which is what we usually do.

Did not enjoy. Circa 1970 décor egg drop soup bland 25 cents for to go container. Egg foo young dry. See gravy photo. General Tso Chicken gave it the 2** staff not the best in takeout

Beijing Palace«Delivers». Literally as well as figuratively, they get the job done. I have ordered from these guys about six or seven times now and so far sooooo good. They get authentic 1st Gen Chinese Food to your door quickly and for a fair price. Warning: If you are a Pei Wei/PFC customer and like your Szechuan homogonized and wokked by a kid who was born in Ft Lauderdale then this might not be for you, but, if you are looking for a great ethnic greasy spoon then this place is a real find. There is a depth and layering of flavor here you can only develop with technique earned over time, and the service has been on point as well. Hope you enjoy…

Food was pretty good. Wasn’t as greasy as normal typical Chinese food. Very inexpensive and portions were small(by America’s standards). Place was small and empty. We ordered takeout and it was ready for is when I showed up before they said it would be ready. Very friendly during our brief interaction. Would eat here again.

Two stars only because the waitress was super nice and because I don’t feel sick. However, I found most of the food really bad. Full disclosure this is the first time I have had Chinese in this area(from NY) but there must be something better out there.

Went on Christmas evening. Special holiday menu. Plenty to choose from on menu. Service was good. Food was delicious and hot. Had shrimp chow fun and orange beef. Large portions. Will be returning when less crowds. Just a really good neighborhood restaurant..

Not sure how this place got 4 stars. It is a typical mediocre Chinese restaurant that you would find in Queens. NY style shrimp in lobster sauce with very few shrimp and too much corn starch. Hot and Sour soup was pretty good but too tame. Steamed dumplings were too much dough and a tasteless filling. OK in a pinch if you have a craving for Chinese food and are stuck in West Delray, but don’t bother going out of your way.

Would give a 2 for décor, but a 4 for the food. Felt like I was walking into a Chinese restaurant from the 80s that I grew up with. Duck sauce and mustard in jars to be shared by all guests at the table for the night was a turn off. However, all courses had nice flavor and very fresh look. Would actually recommend best as take out. Menu was value priced.

I agree with Alan … I’ll take it a step further. If you live in Delray, Boca or Boyton… consider this your only Chinese food restaurant. Its the best around hands down.

I’ve been looking literally for years for a restaurant that is as good as the Chinese ones up north, well I have found it… Beijing palace. This place is very clean, bathrooms are clean and the people that work there are very friendly. I go there several times a week, during the lunch special time… until 3 and for 5– 6 bucks you get a serving that is like the kind you get for a dinner in most places. If you are older you’ll have enough for dinner tomorrow. I’ve tasted several dishes, all are excellent and made the way you want it… if you like you veggies soft, they will make them that way with out a fuss. This place is really a gem not very well known because it is set back in a shopping center fairly far from the main road, but well worth it. The dinners are amazing as well… you get the best of both worlds, quality and best quantity for the buck… I’ve been all over the USA from San Fran down to here and up to NYC, this place is really tops! A must eat if your in the area
