By far the best meal I’ve had in Carroll county. Quick, but freshly prepared lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere, and I’ve recently visited since the remodel has been completed, the place is awesome inside and out! If your not in Delphi they have a food truck that offers a full menu! I’ve seen them in Lafayette multiple times as well as Monticello and Flora.

I love this place. My wife and I go here 2 or 3 times a month. Their food is the best fast Mexican food I’ve eaten and their prices can’t be beat either. Service is always very friendly and fast.

Delphi’s first drive-​in, Smitty’s Tacos is a family-​run business. This a fun place to go is located in a little 1930’s looking vintage gas station building. The building is small and there is not much in the way of seating inside, but the atmosphere is huge. I fell in love with it the first time I went. The owners know everyone who comes in, tv is going with a soap or something interesting.
The owners love people and it shows. You can see them working on your order as it is being prepared. Portions are generous. They have outdoor seating, but most people get their meals for carry-​out. This is not «fine dining», but it is fun and quirky and reasonably priced. I’ve been going to Smitty’s for over 20 years. I’m headed there for lunch tomorrow!
UPDATE: Since last visit, Smitty’s has changed hands, and is now called Mitchell’s Mexican Grill. The place has had a major sprucing up but was essentially the same place I have loved for years.
A nice new addition to the menu is the Arnold Palmer, a half and half mix of lemonade and iced tea. The new hours are 11 am to 8 pm daily and closed Sundays. Their phone number is 765−564−6868 — call your order in and pick it up at the drive-​in window!
