Whit’s Frozen Custard

It’s ALL about the black raspberry chip custard. Oh, it is the best. I can’t get in fast enough when I know it’s on the menu. Management is very friendly.

Frequent customer at multiple Whit’s locations, and this is by far my favorite! The staff is so friendly, and really gets to know the regulars. This is one of those places that remembers people’s favorites, and while I get something different every time, I have witnessed them on multiple occasions ring up other customers orders without them needing to even say anything. It’s a shame it isn’t open year-​round, as I am a firm believer that it is never too cold for Whit’s!

This is based off of one visit– their buckeye madness is delicious! Definitely looking forward to trying their other flavors.
The girl seemed impatient when taking my order but changed her mood fast once she served me my custard. So I guess I’ll have to agree with the other Unilocalers on friendly service?

Great quality for the price, I got a one scoop cone (that was HUGE) for only $ 2.75. Servers were great — very friendly and helpful! The custard was also incredible and very fresh — highly recommended from an out-​of-​towner looking for an ice cream snack!

Wonderful custard, it is super tasty!’ The gals are always super sweet and are very well-​versed when explaining their custard and how wonderfully it’s made!

I wish I could give this custard store two different ratings because the custard is delicious. Creamy… full of flavor… good sized portions… rich…spot on. My test for any custard or ice cream is plain old vanilla, nothing mixed in and this was fantastic. If I were basing the review solely on their product, I would give it 5 stars.
Review part 2:
I went in with my significant other and was really quite specific about what I asked for and that was a small caramel apple sundae. I received a caramel sundae. I asked the server if the apple was mixed in with the caramel, she said no and the more mature woman whom I’m guessing was either the manager owner then told me, in a tone that was less than cordial that this was what I’d asked for. When I responded that no, in fact it wasn’t her tone got even worse and then condescending.
Disappointing, yes, but that really was good custard.

This was a really yummy place to get icecream for cheap! I tried the vanilla custard with raspberry. It would be nice if they had more flavors and included real fruit as a topping, rather than fruit syrup. Otherwise, it is a yummy little place l, and I will definitely have to go back and try the next flavor of the day.

And now, the reason i love the place — three words, salted caramel. So good i think you should have to fill out a form or register that you just had something this awesome. Go here, now.

By far one of my favorite places to go. Period. Frozen custard in vanilla, chocolate, and the flavor of the week. Some of their best include the Cookie Monster, Apple Pie, Brownie Bites, and many many more. Or just get the plain vanilla or chocolate and mix in some other delicious tidbits for a Whitster (much like a DQ Blizzard). They also do shakes, sundaes and more. Complete your meal with a hot dog, coney or other home-​cooking sandwich.

Buckeye Madness Whitzer is the best!!!

This is the first Whit’s location I have had the pleasure of stopping at, and while it’s a tiny place with minimal seating, that’s no reason to turn a cheek without trying some of their tasty flavors of frozen custard.
Frozen custard, frozen yogurt, ice-​cream, italian ice… yeah, there are a lot of frozen treats being thrown at you in today’s world of frozen desserts, but Whit’s, despite it being a small chain… has captured my tastebuds, and I am in love.
My only sadness is the weekly flavors that come and go, and some I wish would just stay forever like their Buckeye Flavor, but even if you’re not a flavor enthusiast, Whit’s still carries the basics of Chocolate or Vanilla.
It’s worth a stop if you’re recovering after a tasty dinner in Delaware looking to satisfy a sweet tooth attack, or even if you’re about looking at the shops and need a break. There are plenty of public park benches on the sidewalks to rest on, and take in the ambiance of the old Delaware buildings.
