Dr. Luther is very thorough. We just switched over last year from an inexpensive chain optical place. The staff is very friendly and calm. I mention calm because the big chain places rush you through and talk to other customers as they are«helping» you and you don’t feel like those places really care. The staff here is great at listening and will help you find what you are looking for. We ordered contacts and glasses and they came in in just a couple of weeks and fit perfectly. The staff worked with us to find the best deal under our insurance and out of pocket pay. I highly recommend if you or your child is learning to put in contacts to ask to go in the back room as it can difficult with shopping carts going by. Thank you Meijer optical for being affordable and thorough.

Been going here for several years. Things were alright until we just wanted to put a new prescription into a new pair of glasses. Mind you, son had these glasses for 9 months, broke them, took them to get replaced-free replacement, I paid 20 $ to get the new pair-and they REFUSED to just put in the new script. Said it would be cheaper to just get new glasses, I said how is that when these glasses are only 3 weeks old now. To buy new pair with lenses and whatever, it would’ve been 159+, to just replace lenses, it would’ve been OVER200 $!!! Go figure that out. To bad because I really liked these guys here. Guess this year we will be trying someplace. new:(

I visited the Meijer’s Optical due to their add of $ 39.99 for a COMPLETEPAIROFGLASSES. It was clearly stated that any frame under $ 99 qualified. I was clear to the person helping me I was only interested in the $ 39.99 offer, she showed me a few pairs of glasses and I chose one. I then went to pay. My total investment was over an hour in driving up and back, walking in, choosing glasses and getting 80% through checkout. The FRAUD that I will call it is there is NO way to purchase ANYPAIR under $ 99 for the $ 39.99 cost. The price was almost double when I walked away because it was an mandatory lens upgrade for most of the glasses, including the ones I chose. I understand businesses have the right to try and upsell better lenses and maintenance plans, both of which I sat through and listened to their pitch, however I was not interested. What a business doesn’t have the right to do is advertise an offer(ANY Frame $ 99 or less for a complete pair of glasses for $ 39.99) without calling out that most of the frames require a LENs upgrade that will almost double the cost. Basically the advertised offer is NOT available. I hope folks will take this as a warning to NOT do business with this company or Meijers(while this is a third party vendor, Meijers allows their name to be used and should be aware of this fraudulent practice). Thank you for listening.

My wife had trouble with her new glasses, she took them back. She was charged $ 60 to get the lenses replaced even though they had never been right. She felt pressured to do this even though the Doctor that day had said the lenses had problems. She later asked for this to be returned. The gent at the location started to say no, tried to explain that the doctors there didnt even work for Meijer and neither did he, but he would take it up with his ‘District Manager’. I said we didnt really care who worked for who but if our return needed to be approved by a manager we wanted to speak to that person, could we have contact info for them? He would not give us contact info, said that we couldnt threaten his job(never did) and we would never find out who the manager was because nobody at the store knew. He then returned the fee to wife, so I guess the step where he needed to check with the manager wasnt true? Service matters right? I feel that my wife was charged incorrectly to begin with, but then why the lie about needing to check elsewhere? Don’t need to know who the manager is now, we wont be back.
