Apparently this store has no concern for their customers and their safety. My husband was on his way to work night before last, and stopped briefly to grab a few lottery tickets from the machine just inside their doors. By the time he returned to our car, someone had keyed the side of the car and bent the rear-view mirror back, causing substantial damage over both the driver and passenger doors. Upon filing the police report, they informed my husband that this Kroger has NO — get that — NO surveillance cameras in their parking lot(only camera is one that monitors their front door)!! WHAT!!! I mean, we’re only talking damage to a car here, what if he had been robbed at gunpoint or a child had been abducted!!! What the heck? NO monitoring of it’s parking lot?! Who DOES that? To me, that proves that they do NOT care one iota for their customers — no concern for what happens OUTSIDE their store! We will never return to this store for ANYTHING — and my recommendation is that you don’t either if you care about your safety! The biggest«bright spot» in this whole situation was the police who were outstanding!

If you need something non-perishable or a paper product, it’s a good enough place to shop. Prices aren’t bad. However, the produce are horrendous. I can’t even count how many moldy berry containers have been out on display in the store, and every produce item purchased, with the exception of apples, rots entirely within 2 days of purchase. Expired frozen foods, expired potato chips, meat that hasn’t been refrigerated properly, freezer burned frozen veggies and French fries… I could go on forever! I’m surprised the place hasn’t been shut down by the health department. Also, due to the size of the store the selection of items is extremely limited compared to other Krogers in the area. It is as well organized as any other Kroger, though, and the store staff is friendly. The pharmacy is a bigger disaster. The staff is poorly trained or just lack common sense and intelligence. They made errors constantly with my prescriptions such as, filling a 90 pill prescription for pain medication with 60 pills, only giving me 1 month’s worth of another medication when the prescription was written for(and I paid for) 3 months of meds, giving me the wrong information regarding my copays, mixing up which prescription was supposed to be filled when, and failing to give me all my prescriptions when I came to pick up. They were constantly taking me out of the«auto-fill» prescription refill service by accident, as well as the text message alert system. I also got differing answers from pharmacy staff on questions I had, depending on who I happened to speak with at the time. A few techs clearly didn’t know the computer system even though they’d worked there for some time. Some staff lacked the motivation to find out things they didn’t know by asking someone else for help, instead just staring at me blankly and saying, «yeah, I don’t knoooooooow,» or, «I’m not sure how to do that.» Of course I’d then respond, «well, can you ASKSOMEONE?» to which the individual would say, «I guess so,» like it was a revolutionary idea to her! Mitsu, one of the pharmacists, is the saving grace of that place. She’s very friendly, and goes above and beyond to help customers. She also always seems to be the person to fix everyone else’s mistakes. I filled my prescriptions there for a year before I couldn’t take the staff incompetence anymore. However, the only reason I even stayed that long was because of Mitsu. If she ever leaves that place will surely fall completely apart.

the gas people are so nice and any time there’s an empty self in the store they will look for the item I need if they don’t have it they will mark down a similar item in it’s place.

No, thank you. If you must go to Kroger, the one on Houk Road in Delaware is maybe 10 minutes from this one. Go there. This store is old and dingy. I have also found that the employees behind the customer service desk are always rude and moody.

Meh. It is Kroger. There are tons of better places to shop within a thirty minute drive. So why go here?
