This is the only place downtown where you can get games but honestly? It’s not much. They have a bunch of different games for different consoles, but most are shitty $ 5 ones while the ones people would want are priced at $ 20-$ 40. Understandable but misleading. Locals basically treat this place like a pawn shop for games and dvds, so most of their stock is people’s throwaways. The general aesthetic of the store is great but the staff is pretty self-absorbed/too busy with conversations with their friends. I’ve experienced many times where I walked in, was greeted once, and then ignored until I made a purchase. It doesn’t give off a very friendly vibe unless you’re the only one in there. Another time I went there were multiple employees standing around watching vulgar videos together on the stores tv, to the point where I had to leave because I was so disgusted. I won’t be visiting there again, not only because of the bad experience/service, but also because they never carried games I was personally interested in. Now, if you’re looking for some nostalgia, go there. They’ve got retro consoles and a decent collection of games to choose from. If you get there on a good day there are some people who will have decent conversations with you(possibly at the expense of other customers) but regardless you might come out knowing more than before.

Been coming here for several years. New ownership now. Tom is a great guy and very knowledgeable. They do carry a lot of preowned video games, game consoles, dvd’s and more. They also carry and can order new. They have been working on making the store better and better. We will come back often! I tell everyone about Gameplay. Tell Tom we sent ya!
