Rented canoes and a kayak from them for an overnight paddle on the Delaware. Couldn’t have been an easier, more laid back experience. We said we’d arrive at 9 AM and they showed up to open their little spot at Fernwood right at 9. after checking in with them and picking up some (much needed) extra gear we were on our way. We had about 2 and half hours of perfect weather on the river on day 1 before the rains started and continued through the night. Day 2 weather was nice and there was a van already at the take out point ready to bring us back to Fernwood.
Again couldn’t have been easier. Will definitely use them again and recommend them without hesitation.

Awesome service, super knowledgable, fast, and easy.
Drove up from Jersey. We called ahead as we were running late and they were totally fine with it. They even recommended a great lunch spot in the area.
Arrived at their check in location and within ten minutes, we were in the water. Amazing!

Had an excellent time canoeing on the Delaware Water Gap. We opted for the 10 mile canoe trip, highly recommend! You get a long time on the river as well as experience some easy rapids. Staff was super friendly. Their sporting store is a different location than their river outpost. After booking a canoe they take you out in a van to your push off location and give you instructions for your trip. Call them when you’re done (or be lucky enough to catch them) at the end of your trip and they come pick you up. Super easy and super fun.

Great service from these guys! We made a reservation online for a canoe a couple days before the trip. They provided quick drop off and pick up service and the gave us some nice tips on viewing wildlife on our float down the river. Would definitely rent from here again.

We booked a 10 mile Kayak rental at the location on our timeshare. The employees were friendly and helpful, although we did have an issue when we booked our trip over the phone. They had us drive all the way out to their location on Main St and then come all the way back to our resort to launch. Mix up aside, we had a blast riding through the Delaware and taking in the mountains. Was worth the money and would recommend!

We booked an impromptu three day canoeing trip for our family 3:00p the afternoon before. We first contacted them through telephone and Rachel was just superb answering our questions and getting us ready for the trip with our two pugs. She emailed us confirmation at 9p with clear instructions for our arrival the next day. When we got to their kiosk at the Fernwood resort, we were processed quickly and the staff was pleasant about reviewing the river map, recommending camping sites for each night. The boats were well maintained and the models similar to other outfitters in the area. When we arrived at Smithfield Beach three days later, they were already on-​site and moved us out quickly — a good thing as we were absolutely exhausted!
Their trips are priced just right and the staff are super-​friendly and knowledgeable, we will definitely come back again for great adventures with Edge of the Woods Outfitters.

Fun day on the river thanks to Edge of the Woods! The kids had a blast too! The staff made it a stress free day and were all really friendly and helpful. I plan to rent a bike from them this summer and take the kids out on the trail for a bike ride through the national park. Affordable, nearby and oh that scenery!!!

Amazing day thanks to Edge of the Woods Outfitters! Had the best biking adventure with no stress, which is how it should be when planning a day out in nature. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They answered all our questions with ease and a smile on their faces! We are planning to do the Pedal Paddle event this summer because we’re dying to get out on the water after this long winter. And biking through the National Park is always a joy! I highly recommend Edge of the Woods Outfitters for biking and rafting.

The crew at Edge of the Woods were great!
We recently booked a «Pedal and Paddle» package with them. This consists of both a mountain biking trip and river trip (both self-​guided) for $ 55/​person. It was definitely worth the price of admission, and the great thing is they do not tie your credit card up when you book. If it rains, you have an out without getting hit with any kind of cancellation charge.
Their trips offer great flexibility. They have «suggested» times for each, but since they are dropping people off and picking up throughout the day, you can extend your ride or river trip if you so choose. They are very clear in their explanations of the terrain offered to you, and extremely friendly. Good people.
I will say bring your patience. They try to remain flexible so many people can enjoy what they offer. This means the 1pm van to the river may not leave exactly at 1pm. Don’t worry though… I promise you the nature isn’t going anywhere.
